@Iridium242 I contacted the company, and they said actually 200W was the max for the external solar panel, so I got a GASIKYA brand 200W one off of Amazon that folds small enough to fit in my 30MM ammo can with the Browey C600.
It's such a neat design but with a 30 watt panel it's entirely useless. You get to use it for 1 day and then it will take a week to recharge. I wish someone would take the same concept and put a 100w panel in it.
I think of it as a good outdoors joint to maintain smaller loads without depleting the battery. 20 watts will cover a few cell phones and battery banks.
I see this particular brand all over the Internet and the people that are selling it claim to be able to get it to you for under $50. Now I realize that’s a scam and fraud. But why doesn’t the company that manufactures this particular solar powered generator go after these people.? They’re taking a good product and giving it a bad name.
I have to say this is brilliant. Having the panel solar panel as part of the unit should be a no-brainer,But I didn't think of it until this very moment. I have two solar batteries each with their corresponding solar panels and it's a pain to set them up.
I finally broke down and ordered this, I already have a 30MM Ammo can to put it in. After confirming with the company the maximum power for the external solar power was actually 200W, I ordered a GASIKYA 200W folding solar panel off of Amazon to go with it that will fit with the Browey c600 in the ammo can so both will be protected from EMP. These will only come out for charging and maintainence outside of a power outage, instead of being used for daily use like my 2000W Bluetti, and my smaller 300W jackery I use pretty much daily. I will use a cheap walmart PVC Ozark Trail roll up dry bag inside of the ammo can for an insulater, and more protection.
Just spontaneously bought one for $68 Canadian with supposed free shipping from Dosprey. Will let you know if it arrives safely from the US without a surprise 'postage due'. I am a little sceptical about something so heavy being shipped free. If it works out I will be very happy about the purchase.
