David Weck - biomechanist, inventor and creator of The WeckMethod - demonstrates how to use his own-designed, ProPulse® Speed trainers to engage rotational balance and power.
Weck has spent the last thirty years developing The WeckMethod - a fitness ecosystem to help athletes become more in-tune with the way their body moves so they can apply learnings to optimize training outcomes.
In addition to developing unique products including ProPulse® Speed Trainers, RMT Club®, RMT Rope®, and SoleSteps®, the WeckMethod also delivers athletic training programmes that trains rotational and vertical movements, ultimately improving the body’s mechanics, strength and balance.
In this video, Weck invites Escape founder, Matthew Januszek, into his purpose built WeckMethod Lab to experience his ProPulse® Speed Trainers. During the session, Weck covers:
• Using ‘the pulse of power’ to optimize explosive power
• The importance of ‘feeling’ rather than ‘thinking’ a movement
• How elite athletes harness connective tissue to optimize recoil
• How to achieve optimal vertical power
• The physical benefits of mastering rotational balance
This video is the second in a three-part Weck Workout Series. In the other two workouts David demonstrates how to train for optimal balanced rotation and the added training value to be gained from using his RMT Rope®

Kudos to Escape Fitness for doing this in front of a camera. A demanding situation. The best possible instruction. Two on one coaching from David Weck and Chris Chamberlain is a dream come true.

I get what these shakers are for now. They are the audible cue to time the pulse to take advantage of the potential energy created in the connective tissue and create an elastic effect making movement much more energy efficient

Again and again coming back to this vid. Golden knowledge 💪 I even made DIY propulsers and it works. Maybe not that cozy and effective but I got that feeling of rhythm and connective tissue

Using the elasticity of the connective tissue is what they are trying to say 😊.

How did I end up watching an old guy with maracas pretend he is training people to bounce like a crazy skinny hermit guru? Ngl I am willing to try it but it's a lot to digest. Somehow also this guy is acting like making a fist in a funny way is a key to something? Like for 2,000 years we've been doing it wrong? Just so friggin weird bro.
