Played in a time when offense was 3 yards in a cloud of dust and lit the league up at WR. One of the most underrated players to ever wear an eagles uniform and ever play in the league. If not for him there would have never been a mike quick (a guy only eagles fans probably know). Congrats Harold, fly eagles fly!!!!!

I am happy for Harold Carmichael you deserve to be a Hall of Famer the receivers that played in the rough and tough era don't get the credit they deserve when pro football.. today you can't even touch the receiver obvious they got crazy numbers l. But I like to see these receivers today go through the middle and get destroyed literally destroyed

He played before I was born (86) but I got nothing but respect for those that paved the way for us to become a Championship team in my lifetime, so god bless son.

He was a star receiver well ahead of his time. He caught a pass in a then-record 127 consecutive games and played 162 games in a row (an Eagles record that still stands). He abused cornerbacks left and right. Could you imagine how deadly he'd be in today's pass-happy league? He was overdue to be a Hall of Famer, and it's awesome to see him now receive this honor.

I was going to elementary school just outside of Philadelphia in the 70's. Whatever our color, we all loved our Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies. Loved seeing this.

Growing up I’ve always had a fascination of guys who are under the radar type players who could be in the HOF Ken Riley of the Bengals, Charlie Hennigan of the Houston Oilers, Dave Brown of the Seattle Seahawks, Sterling Sharpe of the Green Bay Packers, and of course, Harold Carmichael. This man was dominant in ever sense of the word, if he could have gone to the Chargers or Cardinals with Don Correyell we Carmichael would have gotten into the Hall YEARS ago with the stats he could have put up. But here he is now, going into Canton with the Eagles. Much deserved Harold, for helping revolutionizing the game by popularizing the WR screen pass and being one of the greatest freak athletes to grace this league

I was a teenager when he was being great and not an Eagles fan but he was always obviously great. Nobody ever could deny that. Harold is a great guy. I've been asking the question of why isn't he in The Hall of Fame ever since he became eligible; well, finally.

big Harold, i was 11 when u came to the Birds. the coaches were ed kyaht and then mike mccormack. they were terrible but u played well and started your 127 GAME CATCHING A PASS streak. it ended against the cowturds. i remember that 5ft 8 in cornerback from the redskins trying to check you twice a year. you would eat him up proper. yea harold HOF
