"Top Gun Anthem" is an instrumental rock composition and the theme for the 1986 film Top Gun. Harold Faltermeyer wrote the music with Steve Stevens playing guitar and Faltermeyer on the keyboard on the recording. In the film, the full song is heard in the film's ending scene.

TOP GUN was phenomenal; groundbreaking in its cinematography. I think, to make its sequel, required technology, plausible storyline, and a portion of the original cast from its universe. Penny Benjamin. Mentioned so quickly in TOP GUN, that her name is easily missed. And who would be cast as Penny? Jennifer Connelly is perfect. I love both these pictures!

Yeah, I'm a TopGun movie fan to the Nth degree! and totally love this fabulous synthesizer lead anthem with amazing mood, chord progressions, key changes, lead guitar and that tolling bell. This collection of video sequences interwoven from both movies is just brilliant and tells the story, but you really should see it on the big screen! Ah, Penny Benjamin! [sigh]! Jennifer Connelly you are just stunningly gorgeous!! :)

I watched Jennifer in Alita. Beautiful job with that roll. Then they announced she would be in Top Gun, Maverick and I thought Wow! that will fit her like a glove, and it did.

Hell yeah 80s the memories are the greatest top gun I saw the movie in a airplane hangar in boot camp in Chicago before 3:17 the movie came out and they let us watch it before they released it greatest feeling at 17 years old knowing that you're representing United States of America

Nice 👍 I saw the 1st TopGun in theaters when it came out in the 80's....then saw TopGun:Maverick in theaters as well on opening day. To see the opening scene again like in the 1st one, was quite the goosebumps....no pun intended. Great song also.
