I remember being about 10 or 11 when I first heard "My Heart Beats For You" on SoulBeat TV back in the day when I lived in Oakland, CA. I remember learning that part of the song so I can sing it to the girls when I was at school. LOL The first time I heard "Maybe I Deserve" I was a young 21 yr old Navy sailor spending all my money on new CDs at The Wherehouse and copped that "Force of Nature" album just on some random "let me see what this one is all about" and I wasn't disappointed on the quality of album that was produced.

This is probably one of the best interviewee, I've heard!!! He's KAT, 50, RAYJ, JAMIE and others rolled into one person. I see why He's a GREAT SONGWRITER, his stories captivate his audience. Thanks for this interview RNBM!!!

Harold Lilly, Jr. is one of the most magical, engaging beings ever. Wow. He said he wants to be felt (via his music) but, we felt him through his words and energy in this interview.

I fell asleep twice bc Rev Harold Lilly Jr.'s voice is so velvety, smooth, and relaxing. But I stayed up to really delve into this interview, and when I say He preached. He prophesied!! He is not just a songwriter, but a poet. When he speaks, he literally tells a story w his words. He educated us on the true love of R&B. I need an audio of him speaking to rock me to sleep nightly. This was everything I never knew I needed. And Im wowwwed by all the music he has written, that we all love so. I wish I had all my old cassettes and CDs so that I could look back and put faces to the names I've read throughout my lifetime. Am I telling my age here? But, Im so fascinated to see all the ppl who have touched spaces in my heart for my love of R&B. It's the greatest gift to mankind. I thank you two gentlemen for this podcast you've laid before us. A map of music!! 💞
