Harold Washington For Mayor of Chicago 1983 

Harold Washington was the only real mayor that worked for the city of Chicago and moved to improve ALL of the city. I remember him stating when he first won the election, "I'm not the black mayor, the white's mayor nor the Hispanic mayor, but, The Mayor for all of Chicago". He proved it when all of Chicago was showing signs of community betterment. I miss him and what he stood for, for Chicao.

Whether a person is a racist in their heart or not, I am not qualified to say. All I can say is that he gave blacks and Hispanics a fair shot in Chicago politics for the first time, and he did so with significant support from white liberals in the city, with whom he had a good working relationship.

He said we can all win that's why they killed him I was born in 1980 of course I don't know that much about him personally at all I was just seven years old when he died but best believe that ain't nobody talkin about that cup of coffee that he had right before he died and don't nobody just have a massive heart attack without prior complications
