Harrier Jump Jet In My Back Garden: Enthusiast Restores Iconic Plane
SUBSCRIBE: bit.ly/Oc61Hj
WHEN it comes to middle-aged men and their pet projects, a Harley Davidson or classic Mini will normally suffice. But not for Neil Banwell who has spent the last six years fixing up a Harrier Jump Jet. The 45-year-old bought the fighter jet on eBay for £10,000 in 2007 - without telling his wife, who was livid when she found out. He now estimates it is worth ten times that sum but says neither of them want to part with it. The fighter also comes with an interesting war history, having led the first attack dropping cluster bombs on Port Stanley during the Falklands War.
