Love your videos guys I'm just starting off at the minute have always shot pigeons etc on farmers land over many years have found it hard gaining permission even when I used to just go ferreting they still wasn't interested I see from your videos you have a lot of land to choose from are the landowners more lenient knowing bop are being used rather than guns I wonder
Kevin Secker Hi pal, I think there is something in that, with regards to BOP rather than dogs and guns. It can still be hard to get quality permissions. The best one's you treasure.
My Yorkshire hawks thanks for your reply in regards to owning a hh how many typical hrs or days are needed in a week is needed to keep them on point hunting that's my only worry is once a week enough
Reece Wright Can't agree more. If you like the effort and teamwork nothing else comes close. Gos's are for show boating ! Hehe. I do like goshawks but 1 bird at a time is not for us. ATB Matt
Never lost a ferret so far. Some birds are experienced and show no interest in the ferrets but other younger birds have to learn to stay away from them. If a hawks tries to grab one, you have to hunt that hawk from the glove when working with ferrets. Eventually that hawk will learn ferrets are team mates. If the hawk learns that the ferrets get the rabbits moving they should only react to the rabbit. All the best.
+Ross Clark Yes mate, predominantly Yorkshire. Regarding the ferrets, each bird is different, some learn quickly and some can not be trusted and have to work from the glove! It helps young birds if they can learn from experienced older hawks. ATB.
