Can you imagine? Being out on the green, golfing with your buddies when a plane falls out of the sky, crashes right in front of you, and Harrison Ford pops out? What an afternoon that must have been... O.O
For those of you saying that its an awkward interview or something like that, just know that Harrison Ford suffers from anxiety and has a fear of public speaking
I hope he doesn't have to take anything for anxiety because almost all prescription medication for anxiety is banned for flying by the FAA. They hate psychiatry more than Scientologists.
I've heard of stuff like this before, to be honest I don't really believe it. Robert De Niro is said to be shy but it's just not true is it, fair enough you don't do broadway, theatrical, big audience shows or anything.. BUT to be an actor and shy, it just doesn't mix. Definitely a cover up
+LuluFILMs 1138 He's basically uncomfortable talking about anything haha. But he's been pretty enthusiastic already, these past few interviews (e.g. Jimmy Fallon). He used to be way more awkward.
+LuluFILMs 1138 hes an actor hes great on screen but interviews is a different story. Hes awkward in damn near all his interviews, yet he is still one of the most beloved actors in hollywood.
"Uh, they were, uh, a dislocated right ankle, and, uh, a shattered pelvis, and a, uh, broken back, and a, uh, serious bump on the head with major laceration... Other than that, nothing" LOL
Harrison Ford is one of the luckiest guy in the world -- he crashed a helicopter earlier on too and survived that one too .. most people do not walk away from a single air crash, not to mention, 2 ..
He's gotten a lot slower, and his speech is even starting to slur. Also, last time I saw him on this show he couldn't stop playing with his beard. I like him but he needs to get his shit together a little bit more for interviews.
He wanted to fly that old plane but when he was up in the air the plane had a malfunction. He was quite good about how he landed the plane in a golf course, he could be dead or could have cause a major accident to other people.
One time Harrison Ford helped to get some hikers that got stranded on a mountain, and the girl who he picked up threw up in his helicopter. Imagine her surprise of who the pilot actually was then the indignity of throwing up in his helicopter.
He was just a little bothered by the beginning statements. Ellen is pretty well spoken most the time but saying that he crashed the plane is not something a pilot wants to come across when the plane crashed because of a mechanical malfunction.
He had an incident where he landed on a taxi way when a airliner was holding short of the runway he was supposed to land on. He cleared the airliners rudder by less than 100ft
I love Harrison Ford, but he's had three other plane mishaps, in addition to this one. Something is wrong. Time for him to give up piloting ! I'd give him a complete car driving skills retest, too, to see if he should still be on the road.
I know the doctor who performed the reconstructive surgery from "the bump" on his head. At the top of his head was a long laceration and his scalp was pulled way back like a hoodie. Scalp was pulled back forward and sutured. You can't even see the scar in this interview, so he did a great job.
Nothing's wrong with him. He's always been like this. And now that he's older, he talks even slower and is a bit grumpier. It's what happens when you get old!
Flying is safer than driving. I made a huge mistake as a teen, I could have gotten my single engine pilots license for FREE cuz my grandpa had two single engine planes. I wish someone had informed me that I shouldn't have thrown away that opportunity!
I feel like he reacts slower now , its not him being uncomfortable speaking about it , he might just have trouble processing as fast as he did before due to the hit on the head , man hope he's just being awkward......
He is just a guy who doesn't want to talk about his weakness. I watched him on many interviews and he doesn't want to be exposed. Fallon interview was way bad than this.
I understand the golf course landing. It was a mechanical failure. What I don't understand is how the FAA did not require remedial training after his landing on a taxiway @ SNA. Imagine if it was a "regular Joe" landing on a taxiway at SNA? hmmm...I am happy for Harrison, but lost some respect for the FAA for not at least requiring Harrison to conduct remedial training.
Katniss Everdeen You piece of shit that's exactly what I meant. He is really similar to the character that he portrays: Han Solo. What a fucking genius you are.
