Harry’s Razor Review - Sunday Shave ep.42 - average guy tested  

My father has been out of the picture since I was born and it’s really hard for me to ask my mom for advice and I came on here cause it’s about time I learned how to shave. I just wanted to say thank you for this in helping me with my adventure

I really like th Harry's line as a recent convert to their line. Their shave gel alone is perfect the smell and performance are great. As I said before I don't care for their shave cream or post shave balms. I do like their razors its a fair balance of quality and price, certainly a razor I would be happy to use evermore. Thanks for this vid I bought a gift set for hubby because of seeing a Harry’s ad constantly, even though it’s under the tree I was still wondering about if I got him a good one so your vid cleared that up for me.

I’ve used Harry’s in the past and loved it . Saw it at Walgreens recently and I’m not sure If they’ve made changes for the store retail . But big time change in quality . Not as well . I’m hoping online stock is still the way I remember it .

I received a 2 ounce tube of Harry's shaving goo for Christmas. That stuff is an absurdity, the most over engineered (as if shaving cream needs to be engineered, pffffft) preposterous concoction of unnecessary chemicals to produce a simple lubricant to shave. It is like smearing white oil based grease paint on your face. I had to use a safety pin between swipes to clean out the space between the blades, then turn the on faucet full blast to wash that pile of yuck off the razor. With a moderately heavy growth it simply lubricated the whiskers so that the razor passed OVER them instead of cutting through them. I had to go over the area to be shaved multiple time to get all the whiskers. That goo seemed to protect the whiskers rather than facilitate the cutting of them. Once finished I had to wash (scour)my face with a sponge and concentrated dawn detergent to get the revolting greasy goo off my skin. Once I dried my face the skin still had a disgusting slimy feel to it. A full face wash with alcohol was the ONLY way I could get that stuff off and out of my skin. I had to stop myself from squirting the rest of that yuck down the drain out of fear of it clogging the drain and pipes like a fatberg. I the end I just threw it in the trash. A 1.00 can of Barbasol works just fine.

About 15 years ago I made the switch to double-edge razors and that is definitely my preferred choice. However I still use cartridge and disposable razors when I am lazy and when I shave at the gym. I used mostly Gillette but also shick my entire life. The average life of a cartridge or disposable lasted me or lasted me 3 to 5 shaves. The disposables lasted me about 5 shaves while the cartridges lasted me about 3. I am very picky and probably could have gotten more mileage out of my blades. However I can honestly say that I got 15 shaves with one Harry's cartridge. I do not shave every day or even every other day so it lasted me a long time. That was so incredible. It is my understanding that the blades today are even sharper than before. Yeah I still prefer double-edge safety razors but I'm gonna give Harry's another try as my lazy man's shave. After loving the mock 3 Turbo for a decade I really found the Harry's better. Just my opinion.

I first started shaving with a non electric few months ago, harry's was the first razor I ever tried My technique was bad and still is and therefore it keeps cutting and knicking me because I still feel like a beginner, but it made me personally not like it :/

Great review. I love the Surf Blue color on my Harry's (Wal-Mart exclusive) I get effortless smooth shaves from it. Their shave gel and post shave balm smell really nice. What is your favorite cartridge razor?

It has a hidden blade! I tried to rinse the debris out from between the blades, but it wasn't working properly. I turned the razor around to blow it clear. I cut my upper lip! It has another blade on top. Maybe for getting close up under your nose.

Well, I've just tried Harry's and I don't know if I got a dud one going by the race reviews. I got roughly 4-5 shaves out of one blade and at the 3/4 th shave I felt the blade really dragging on my face. I used the Harry's shave gel. So I'm afraid I'd only give it 3 out 10.😞😞

You need to try Paul Mitchell tea tree special shampoo as a shaving cream its amazing i save my money and only use that to shave they do also have a shaving cream but this works great to shave, and with the heated razor feels amazing!!

Hi How r u i like the razor it's the shave gel but i think the shave gel clogs the razor a little i believe edge gel don't do that i am going to use the razor again but with edge to make shore i would love to hear what u think about Harry's razors and edge shave gel

I may be alone here but anything over three blades makes me feel like I'm shaving with a 9 volt battery which causes me to have to guess where I'm cutting. I prefer 3 blades over more.

What’s the best razor so far ?

I just read the Corolla question, I think the new Corolla is what the Camry was 20 yrs ago, nothing like my old one. And the Camry is what an entry level luxury car was also 20 yrs ago. Things change, except me, of course.

I use Harry's to shave my head. The best razor I've ever used hands down.

Good review. Although he only applied the shave gel only once it was not a single pass it was a multiple pass. This is why a good shaving gel is better than a foaming/lather shaving soap. Edge is very good also.

Their shave gel and after shave scent are out of this world and they don’t test anything on animals.

How long do the blades last?

Man must be hard to pull out the uncomfortable shitty Harrys razor, I tried that razor several times and I just find it to be cheap and uncomfortable compared to Gillette. I’ll pay the little extra for the big pack of Mach 3 turbo blades which are far superior.

Well with all the money situation + with this sickness still going on, i have no choice but to start shaving with Harry's razors blades. Harry's is a lot cheaper then Gillette are & Harry's handles are in color. one thing i don't like about Harry's razors is this, their blades are not that wide like Gillette blades are

Harry's razors are garbage. Too flat to follow the contours of your face, plus after 1 use, they get dull.

My family has been using Harrys since they started we will NEVER buy anything from this BS virtue signaling company again!
