Harry Dean Stanton (who played the role of Lucky) did not live long enough to see the official release of the movie in USA on 29 September 2017. He died on 15 September 2017 at the age of 91.

Harry was the kind of person if you lived alongside him for a thousand years you still would know very little about him, most of what you knew about Harry Dean Stanton you had made up in your mind, you never got this information from Harry himself. He was the original Quiet Man and way before John Wayne played this part in an Irish film Harry is now singing and hanging out with Phil Lynott & Rory Gallagher down in kingdom hall most weekends and having a heck of a good time with Jesus and all the other boys and girls and life is great
