kinda obvious that harry was gonna walk out like he did so i agree it should off been added.. and also in HBP they should of went with the after game quidditch kiss instead of the room of requirement, the last 4 films were done poorly!
Fikri Juanda He was also scared when Ginny went into the chamber of secrets as it reminded him of how he lost Lily Potter. Ginny definitely reminded Snape of Lily.
Actually the cut part is less than 10 seconds, because in the movie they show the part when they are coming in and then pass to when the Carrows are watching... They only don't show the part when Harry goes ahead and takes Ginny's hand
I can actually kind of see why they might've wanted to cut this one. If I remember correctly, Harry reveals himself to Snape in a surprise moment. Having this here to let the viewer know that Harry is there before that moment could really lessen its value to the audience.
@@PkmnGymLeader Although that may be expected from the viewers, as you know Harry is in Hogwarts. And most of the viewers are likely to have read the book already. Still, that may be the reason they did it, I can't really think any other logical thing.
I love how Harry made the effort to come forward and risk being spotted just so he could take her hand. The movies passed up so many good opportunities for Hinny.
Harry and Ginny were badass and cool together in the books. In the movies they kept Ginny the way she was as a kid the whole time. Or at least that's how I thought they felt. Ginny's character developement was so sad in the movies. This would've been like the closest book Ginny and Harry scene from all the movies and I wish it hadn't been deleted. ♥
Ginny was definitely a lot more different than she was as a kid in the movies. The first time we see Ginny and Harry interact in chamber of secrets she'd shy and runs away, but in Half Blood Prince she's commanding and always makes the first move (even if it always looked silly). What sucks is we never got to see Ginny transition into this confident character and she's barely allowed to shine with Harry or independent of him like Ron and Hermione do
Did he do that just to be with her after being so long apart or was she nervous and he was trying to comfort her or is it something else? Or just to get Snape but also to be close to her?
They shouldn't have cut this scene It was so cute Also their relationship in the books was than in the movies Ginny deserved more Like here if you agree👇👇
The movies did a terrible job with the Harry and Ginny relationship. It's a slow burn relationship through the book series the comes together finally in the sixth book. But in the movies, it's came out of no where. Also, It pissed me off that Ginny was ALWAYS the one to initiate things, when in the books Harry also wanted to be with Ginny. Infact, it stated that he's the "happiest he's even been" when he was with Ginny.
Their relationship really wasn't much better in the books. It's sprung on just as as much in the books as it is in the movies. Ginny is poorly written and her relationship just feels too manufactured and contrived.
Ginny in the books: Oh shut up laughing you two, because they've just been turned down by girls they asked to the ball! Ginny is the movies: sHoELaCeS o.o Also why did they take out the scene where Harry looks at Ginny in the marauders map before he died? 😖
or how he watched her when they were out looking for the Horcruxes! He was always watching her on the map or thinking about her. There was so much that could have been done there.
Book Ginny was badass and the kiss between Harry and Ginny in the books was better...because Harry liked Ginny so much..that he did not care anymore if someone sees them or not.
@@hotpandesal3541 half blood prince book right after griffindor winning the quidditch cup Harry got detention for every week til the end of term after cursing malfoy he walked in,everybody celebrated and ginny and Harry kissed it was way better done in the books than the movies
Yeah. There was no passion in the kisses between them in the films. Way too short, more like pecks than kisses. First kiss in the books was better, but I wished there was a sentence of Ginny's reaction to Harry kissing her. We know its positive as they start dating afterwards, but I would have liked to see if it was surprise or delight.
@@MattGraves01 these scenes only seem long in the books, in my opinion a lot of the scenes (e.g. with dementors) that feel immensely long in the books are portrait very well in the movies.
I wish they didnt cut this. I loved their relationship in the books but it was terribly done in the movies. It always seemed a bit awkward in the movies. But also, I wish movie Ginny was as badass and independent as book Ginny. I love Bonnie Wright though!
I think Bonnie Wright looks more like the real Ginny than the Ginny from the movies. if you watch some interviews, you can see that Bonnie has a similar personality to her. she could have made an amazing ginny!
@@irenesoriacarrion2311 true.. Her physical appearance was perfect for Book Ginny.. I think she would've nailed it If they made Ginny just like in the books.. Ginny is my favorite character and I still can't get over how they ruined her
Awww I love this scene. It shouldn't be deleted. It shows a bit better how Hogwarts was in that time and how Ginny felt. And Harry is trying to make her feel better and confident when he and she knew that the war was going to start in a few minutes and they both could die.
What makes me laugh that james falled in love with Lilly who was a red head and harry falled in love with Ginny who is also a RED HEAD !!! Like father ,like son!!!
Well this cene was cool indeed, but would still be awesome even if they didn’t delete that cene and Harry surprise snape anyway, I mean it wouldn’t surprise us but would be a cool cene anyway to see snape reaction, but The problem is not only than cene , the problem is the lack of cenes of them together, and gosh they had 8 movies to develop them better
Yeah you are right. They can understand each other perfectly. No matter how far they were but their hearts were always connected. Harry has Ginny's heart and Ginny has Harry's heart. Love this couple. #Hinny ❣️❣️
They should of put this scene in! It would also be good if they put in the bit where they kiss after quidditch and the bit where harry is looking on the maurderours map for Ginny ! Disappointed !!!!
@@gabrielsouto6031 The quidditch kiss was on Half blood prince and the Harry watching over Ginny on the map on Deathly Hallows. These are the books of course.
Depends on which version. Theatrical it's not, but the version they play on tv (of most the series) has a few deleted scenes added in. I think it has something to do with adding/cutting time based on air time for ads
I agree. I love Harry's line about how being with Ginny was like something out of someone else's life. And in the deathly hallows book Harry spends his nights looking at Ginny's dot on the marauders map. So sweet and simple. In the books she had this fiery, fun personality that perfectly fit with Harry's.
I love the scene but dosent fit the story, but I love Ginny in the books, and ones Harry new that he love her, changed things for him, I know they dont kiss in the Battle in the books, but I like that add in in the movies, this show that they still love each other, and wanted a kiss before possible die
The biggest insult to Harmony fans: Hermione encouraging Ginny to be more open to Harry about her feelings for him. It was never directly in your face but it was there. Only pointed out by Ginny when she told Harry how Hermione told her to be just herself around him (Harry). Let's face it, Hermione is the biggest Hinny shipper ever :3
Alexis Alonso Yep! He was always so mad at them when they fought and wondered what it would be like (and if that would continue) if they were together. The only sad thought he had concerning Romione was that, if they broke up, it would mean the end of their friendship (as a Trio). Ergo, further proof that Harry values friendship more than Harmony 'fans'
Either that or you watched the movies, where they literally tried to force Harmony as though it was like that in the books. They completely made no sense of either Harry or Hermione and completely destroyed any character development those two had.
***** You wanna talk about stuff that movies did wrong? How about the fact that Ginny has ZERO PERSONALITY! In the books Ginny is awesome but in the movies she's a just a girl that's Ron's sister and Harry's girlfriend
Alexis Alonso I strongly believe that was done on purpose. Didnt you feel like they cut down Ron and Ginny's importance in the movies? I mean, instead of the big and anticipated kiss scene in the Common Room in front of everyone cheering for them, we got a freaking ROR one -.-
Everyone needs to calm down. The movies will NEVER be exactly like the books. We can also take in to account that Rowling reads every script of the Harry Potters BEFORE they even start filming. She is the one who actually gets the movie in motion. She approves everything they put into the script. I think the films do the books justice. All the films are AMAZING and better than a lot of movies now day's in my opinion. Again, the movie will NEVER be exactly like the books. I think that you should view them as separate pieces of art. The books are the books and the movies are the movies. They are both fantastic and all true Potterheads should admire them for what they are.
Look, I've loved Harry Potter since I was 5, I'm 20 now but even I'll admit that there were issues with the films, especially when it comes to certain characters like Ginny. People often blame the direction, which is true but I don't think the actress was right for the part, other than in COS when she was written as a shy character.
The latest movies not even close to the book. The Burrow was never set into fire, Voldemort never fallen into pieces, not to mention Ginny's and Harry's first awkward kiss and how they made her into a mary sue. And there's a lot of plot holes, like the family of Voldemort or why Lily Evans fell for a bully like James.
I think that the actress who portrayed Ginny did a good job. The second movie was funny when she comes down the stairs. And I'd like Harry Potter and the deathly hollows better if they showed the deleted scene. That is a adorable scene cause they held hands. 😋😏😇
hafsamumtaz1 That is true, sorry for the mistake. Although she did only approve the first two scripts, she trusted everyone working on Harry Potter to convey her books well. She even said that herself.
movies are a letdown when it comes to Hinny. And the fact that I love them so much in books♥, it's really sad. But in this scene their sheer resemblance to James and Lily makes me sigh so bad.*love love love*
it just amaze me they can still walk in sync despite that Voldy is one call away from them 😁 gosh i ship harry and ginny so much! especially in the book. i wish they would make more Hinny scenes in the movie like how they make RonMione.
I hate how they portrayed their relationship in the movies. The book gave me feels but I must admit that Dan and Bonnie is perfect as Hinny. For me Hinny is a definitely good fictional couple and Percabeth . Harry Potter and Percy Jackson is amazing tho.
I agree with everything you said. I never found anything wrong with Bonnie and Daniel, but the direction is to blame. All Ginny scenes (with exceptions like the shoelaces and first kiss) were book accurate. But they were not enough to build her in the movies. Also Percabeth rules
I like it how Harry manages to get into the crowd and find Ginny without getting caught just like the old saying and it goes its all legal unless you get caught because once you’ve got caught you are buggered
the great part about not only harry but his love for ginny shows in this scene, it shows that he will go out of the way and risk being caught to hold ginnys hand is so adorable and im really disapoointed that they left this scene out. of the movies :(
INSTEAD OF PUTTING F... HARMONY (HARRY/HERMIONE) SCENES THAT NEVER EXISTED IN THE BOOKS JUST FOR THE HARRY/HERMIONE SHIPPERS PLEASURE (COUPLE THAT WILL NEVER EXIST, HARRY LOVES GINNY, HERMIONE LOVES RON) THEY SHOULD PUT THIS AMAZING SCENE!!! I HATE THE LAST 4 HARRY POTTER MOVIES...!!! THEY HAVE RUINED THE RONMIONE AND THE HANNY, JUST FOR PUTTING STUPID COUPLES (HARRY HERMIONE.. COF..COF) THAT WILL NEVER EXIST! BUT...LISTEN TO ME... RONMIONE AND HANNY, ARE REAL COUPLES, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AND THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!!
Their relationship in the books is good. It made sense as after Hermione, Ginny was the one girl Harry knew so well. They spent so much time together at the Burrow during holidays, shared a sense of humour. And in the later parts Ginny started joining the trio more often especially in the OOTP. Ginny grew up to be hot and popular and so was Harry so its understandable that he developed attraction towards her. And Ginny ofc liked him since the beginning.
ok, so just so the people who are confused know: this scene wasn't completely deleted, it was just shortened. they didn't show the Ginny and harry part, just them all walking down the stairs...
I do have to admit. Even though they kinda messed up Ginny in the movie canon at least they got a well talented and good looking actress like Bonnie Wright to do the role.
Many people in the comments say, that they love Harry for taking the risk to find Ginny in that crowd, so that they can hold hands. I just love that marching sound. Makes me want to listen to it over and over again.
I think this part was right to be deleted. The scene after when Snape gave his speech about wanting the students to rat out Harry was heart-pounding, then when Harry shows up out of the group, it was so unexpected. If this scene was included, it would totally blow that feeling.
