Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone PS2 Walkthrough - Part 01 

this is so much nostalgia i cant handle it

when i played this as a child i used to freak out when they spotted me when i was trying to sneak by XD

My favourite game of all time! Brings back so many memories....

I miss this game so badly

OMG this brings back so much memories lol this was literally the second video game I think I ever played in my life.

OMG I loved this game...I was living in Los Angeles working as an actor...the friend I shared a house with had all of these old Hollywood actors stars pics on his long halldway walls...long hardwood floors...such amazing memories...I was working as Rhys Ifans stand in on the movie HUMAN NATURE...there was this sweet make up lady...she had the book...I had No idea who this "HARRY POTTER" was...LOL I was at a dinner one night and everyone was talking about Harry Potter....that week on the set we were shooting up in the alta dena mountains...much like the forbidden forest. The sweet make up lady finished her copy of the sorcerer and loaned it to me...as a stand in you have a lot of down time. I'd take the book and a HUGE blanket and sit in the nook of a tree not far from set. I got so into the book, that when they called my name for the set i'd get mad LOLOL blah blah blah...I was sick for a week and was playing this game back at my house...my room mate was off work and would come lay on the bed and watch me...we loved the background sounds...he got so addicted to watching me...he didn't want to play, he liked watching me...we were so sad when the game ended that we started over LOL :) ahhh the golden days :)

This is so much better than the pc version.

I can't help but think that Stephen Fry is the Narrator, as in following games. The Chamber of Secrets and The Prisoner of Azkaban.

I've only played the ps1 version of this game. And after all these years, I need to get this one.

I love watching the different game console versions, b/c all the ones I have are strictly for PC. It's nice to see how some of the parts change and how different the graphics are.

The library scene still terrifies me to this day 😂

I love this game! One of my four favorite Harry Potter games before the last 4 games. By far, this one's the best!

I'm amazed that they actually made an entirely new game instead of porting the pc game to ps2

Harry's voice actor is by no means bad, however does not match the character.

Man i loved this game as a kid, too bad I kept get a game breaking glitch and never to to finish it....

At least Harry isn't mute in this one. That's a plus.

You know whats crazy about this game, if you look on eBay people are trying to sell this ga,e for pretty high price, people are trying to sell it for 30-60$ and that's a lot for a game that's just Harry Potter, so this game maybe RARE

i remember when i played this on the pc it was so good it was my childhood

I remember abusing the Prefects in this game making sure I was only captured when I didn't want to run back to the common room for the 300 time and making sure it was the Gryffindor prefects so I didn't lose House points. ABUSE THE SYSTEM KIDDIES!~

I never had this version. I had the original playstation game--very blocky and pixelated. So I like this PS2 version a lot, though like others have said, saying the bean names out loud is rather annoying!

why was the spell flippendo not used in the movies? /:

You should've tried to sneak past the prefects without using spells, it'll give us more suspense and show us your skill.

It's called Philosophers Stone everywhere else, USA just decided to call it the Sorcerer's Stone, but it's the exact same game.

One of my favorite games of all times, sadly, my copy of the disc got rekt (scratched). Anyway, thanks for the upload.

as a child i never got past the pig snout part i never knew what to do

100% cannot truly be obtained in this game because of glitches. I will get all the wizard cards and shields though.

This is so bizzare, I have never seen a licence game to ever get a remake. Do you think the PS1 or the PS2 version is the one to go?

I feel like the ps1 version is more praised than the ps2 version, why is that?

i notice in the games both pc and ps2 they never mention the dursleys reluctance to let harry go, he's just there. scene skipped. idk if like that or not........i mean i guess it's good to get right into the story tho

Oh the old times... when cosole games were better than PC games

So... I played the GBA and the PS1 versions of this game, and I'm considering streaming the PS2 version. Does this resemble...any? Like, does it have collectibles and secret passages like PS1? Or puzzles like PC? Or is it a complete overhaul? I'm skimming through the video to get an idea, and I do see it's different, but the details elude me xD

Technically the name of the game is that, but for one thing they are the same anyway, and for hardcore fans of Harry Potter we know the true name is the "Philosophers Stone". Even if one does live in the U.S.A. I think it is either because in the U.S. they don't use the term Philosopher, or because children prefer to see Sorcerer, rather than Philosopher, which all has to do with marketing.

I really wish these games were remade for the PS4, XBOX ONE, and Nintendo Switch but knowing how greedy EA is with the microtransactions we might not get it unless EA felt it's a good idea to add extra content we have to pay extra to enjoy. Extra: I'm not mentioning PC because you guys already have the current games you can access easily

Why is there a ps1 version and ps2 version which are different. Also I played the PC versions as a kid they have more exploring I love them
