He sees Barty crouch on the marauders map in snape’s office, but he thinks it’s Barty crouch sr. And tells Moody, and he asked Harry if he could keep the map because he know it could expose him

Lupin knows about the map because he helped write it with Harry’s dad, Sirius & Peter. After Lupin became a werewolf, the others became animagus: to help him when he transformed…Lupin=Mooney; Sirius=Padfoot; Peter=Wormtail; James=Prongs

In the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore explained to Harry that Priori Incantatem is what happened when their two wands with matching wand core connected. If you recall from the very first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or Philosopher's Stone when Harry got his wand Mr. Olivander said that the phoenix feather in Harry's wand had a matching feather in another wand that came from the same exact phoenix. The person that has the other feather in his wand is Voldemort. Harry found out in the book version of Goblet of Fire that the phoenix was Dumbledore's bird, Fawks. Because Harry and Voldemort has matching wand cores it means the wands are equal in power and relation. The wands really are brothers. As Harry's wand began to slowly beat Voldemort's wand it caused the Piori Incantatem spell to happen. That means the last few spells that a wand made reveals itself. So in this case not only did the last few murders that Voldemort's wand made expose itself to everyone in the graveyard, in the book version it also showed Wormtail's new silvery hand first as well. 🪄💥⚡️🪄

I think Krum was inspired by Hristo Stoichkov. The Goblet of Fire happened around 1994 and that was the year that the Bulgarian Stoichkov won Ballon d’or at Barca and was a beast in the 94 World Cup, with Bulgaria getting to the final 4. Maybe just a coincidence

What you saw Dumbledore pull from his head after the Goblet of Fire drew names..was a memory...the basin is a pensive..something that allows you to view memories... you'll see it again in upcoming movies... The mature series has just begun...Ron.. Hermione..and Ron will continue to bloom with hormones..in the more sedate English way of course... For many of us that read the books this is probably the most dissapointing of the films versions. Such a lot is left out inc. other characters. In the book it is explained how Crouch Jr got out of Azkaban. Barty's wife was dieing and asked to see her son once before she died. So Barty Snr. takes her once there she persuades her husband to let her stay there and take Crouch Jr. home. The Dementors can't distinguish one person from another and counted two in and only two out.

I don't care how many times I see this movie. The ritual to restore Voldemort, and seeing him rise out of the cauldron will always simultaneously send shivers racing up AND down my spine and make me nauseous. Trivia: They got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood-red eyes with a slit-like pupil. It is understandable why they didn't use creature contact lenses on Ralph Fiennes in the movie adaptations since it would eliminate the realness of Voldemort's threatening presence. The arachnid the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was a tailless whip scorpion. As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!" Backstory: Neville was traumatized by the Cruciatus Curse's usage because his parents were tortured into insanity with it.

It was only today that I learned the house where Voldemort is hiding and where the old caretaker is murdered is the estate of the aristocratic Riddle Family. It is flanked by an old church and the graveyard where the Riddle family is buried. The creature Mad-Eye Moody tortures and kills in his first Defense Against the Dark Arts class is a whip spider (aka whip scorpion), a real animal in the real world. It is an arachnid, but it's not actually a spider. It doesn't make webs or venom and it doesn't bite humans, but some species can pierce skin with prongs on its two pincer legs. Rita Skeeter passes herself off as a reporter or journalist, but she's actually just a gossip columnist. She has a gossip column in the Daily Prophet newspaper, so she doesn't so much report news as repeat and expand on gossip. If the story isn't sensational enough, Skeeter will embellish it to get more attention. The little half-squid creatures that attack Fleur and later Harry in the Lake are grindylows. Grindylows are a type of water demon that attacks in a swarm and pull swimmers to deep water depths to drown them. Fleur freaks out and goes back to the platform and only then learns her little sister is under the Lake. Harry stops the grindylows using the same spell Hermione used to stop the Cornish pixies in the second film. Easter egg: in the scenes where the Weasleys and friends enter the campgrounds at the Quidditch World Cup, there is a juggler juggling a large number of white fringed items; they are meant to mimic the actions of a swarm of grindylows. Voldemort in power was an incredibly traumatic period for the Wizarding World. What made Harry so famous was NOT what his parents did and was not simply the miracle of Harry surviving the Death Curse cast at him as a baby by Voldemort. It was that Harry surviving Voldemort's curse resulted in Voldemort being stopped. Dumbledore knows magic and he knows Tom Riddle Jr (aka Voldemort). Dumbledore knows Voldemort will return and the Wizarding World will once again be in extreme danger. He also knows Harry is the key to finally bringing this horror to an end. It's a slim chance and the question is whether the slim chance can succeed. JK Rowling spent 17 years researching and writing the Harry Potter books. Most writers get One Good Idea and write a book based on it. They then shop the manuscript around to various publishers and, if accepted, go through a process of editing, re-editing, rewriting, and so on until it's deemed ready for publication. If it sells well enough, the writer is encouraged to do a sequel, and if THAT sells more sequels are written until there's an end to any good ideas. The problem with sequels is that the original book sets canon, which subsequent work cannot contradict; it restricts further expansions of the story when the original story can't anticipate what returns to the story may require. It's why sequels often are less satisfying than the original story. But Rowling didn't write any sequels. She wrote a multi-volume saga, just like JRR Tolkien did with his trilogy "The Lord of the Rings". Rowling created an outline to structure the story across time and publications then, as the story was fleshed out, moved things around and made adjustments so everything flowed. At the point when she had finalized about half of the full saga, she was ready to get a publisher and publish. In addition, she managed to keep a lot of control over her intellectual product. She set the publications to come out one book a year and she maintained control over filming decisions (script, set, costume, casting, etc all had to be approved by her). So, if you wonder about how well this all comes together, how details get callbacks later in the story, it's all to Rowling's meticulous and patient work.

OMG DID YOU CUT OUT CEDRIC'S DEATH SCENE??? That's the most significant moment in the movie, I feel, would have loved to see you react to that!

I can’t help but cry hearing Sedric’s father. I’m not a parent but trying to place myself in that position, it would feel so painful and unbearable. The pain and grief would be so consuming. Making my way through more reactions 🙂
