I'm noticing a theme where in both games, New York is hit with an apocalyptic disaster that was created by Norman trying to find a cure for Harry. First Devil's Breath, then the symbiote.

There's one comic book event that may have been alluded to by the games ending the Superior Spider-Man "Goblin Nation" arc where Norman basically overran the city with Spider-Slayers and an army of goons transformed by the Goblin virus. However, this arc also introduced Spider-Man Doc Ock but I doubt we'll be seeing that in the next game as this Spider-Man has actually met Superior before in one of the comics.

You know. Spider-Man 2 felt like a horror game especially in the second half. It was pushing an M rating. I feel like it would be cool to see an actually M rated Spider-Man game and really see the horror of the villains. I understand they didn’t because they want it appropriate for all age groups. The symbiote gave me chills.

it really wouldn't be surprising to see spiderman 3 be rated M if carnage is gonna be the main villain. they've already done a good job of making cletus kasady look crazy and disturbing. sm2 was on the brink of rated M when you played as venom. now imagine carnage then imagine red goblin.

Superior or noire would be an excellent choice for an m rated game. Or the spidey that becomes ghost rider i forget what he was called before he became ghost spider. Hes actually brutal, he kidnapped and absorbed many versions of spidey. Superior would only b m rated in the early game though, he later learns why peter never killed. Noire is just plain brutal.

10:53-11:04 the dialogue and facial expressions is high quality mixture. It’s probably one of my most memorable cutscenes from the game as it showcases how Harry/Venom shows his father he got what he wanted, but it didn’t make it any better. He’s healthy. He’s strong. Norman wished upon a monkey’s paw because his son was gone at that point, and only a monster remained. When he asked if this was he wanted and asked the question again, you can feel Harry’s inner voice wanting that approval of his father, thinking he’s fulfilled the requirements to being seen as his son. If Norman had told him not, he for sure would’ve died…though it would ultimately save some lives in Spider-Man 3 when he becomes the Green Goblin. Either way, great story.

I'd say, they're the most creative and powerful, but I wouldn't really think they're evil. Mac Gargan's version of Venom is quite Diabolical, being that he ate everyone on sight, tortured people before eating them, didn't care if they're villains or heroes, killed a woman he layed with and left the corpse on Jameson's bed, etc.

@@baligong3592 He's probably one of the most powerful iterations of Venom, seeing as Peter and Miles both had a difficult time with Harry. Even if Peter had the Anti Venom Symbiote to specifically counter Venom, it still wasn't enough.

So I think Norman is going to be the ultimate villain next game, like Otto is the first. We'll have some 'puppet' villains at first (maybe the return of Kingpin?) and then we'll get the reveal: it was Norman. Norman was behind everything. The Underground, Norman pulled the string, Prowler, Norman, Kingpin, worked with Norman for a time and he left some influence on Fisk. Something like that. And we'll see Otto try to eliminate Norman/ Goblin but Peter intervenes, and the final boss fight is a double boss between Peter and Miles, Otto, and Norman. It's basically a free-for-all except Miles and Peter are obviously working together

Yeah it's like that... but actually good ^ as in the story is WAY better. Web of Shadows IMO just didn't know how to use it's characters well and the acting with exception to Tricia Helfer as Black Cat was completely subpar. Also it's a little bit of Ultimate Spider-Man as well with Venom's exaggerated tongue and muscles.

@@bullymaguire7693 I have 2 issues with the game 1. The Web Strike which is so overused in the game that combat gets boring so Damn fast. The symbiote vulture boss is the worst because of it not to mention 50 snipers in a row. 2. With exception to Black Cat was really subpar for the entire cast. Spider-Man PS5 basically had done everything web of shadows did but better.

@@hylianglitchmobber7570 It’s too repetitive the game overused the fuck out of the webstrike, it’s so damn repetitive. Not to mention the Tricia Helfer is the only good VO in the entire game. PS5 basically took the same story and did it much better. If there’s any PS3 game that deserves love it’s Shattered Dimensions, now that was a game.

Safe to assume that Harry will become Anti-Venom through some kind of plot interaction with Peter because I don't think they'll have us keep the Anti-Venom suit next game. Peter will sort of pass on Mr. Negatives power to Harry so he becomes a proper Anti-Venom, ready to team up with Peter to take on Insomniacs' iteration of Carnage. Likely to be DLC, don't see them doing more symbiotes next game, it wouldnt make sense.

I did some research & it’s going to be interesting what Harry will become in the next game as he’ll become the Goblin with possible traces of the symbiote still inside like Peter in this game. I too hope DLC will become available for this game as the whole Cletus Kasady with his flame cult situation has to be dealt with now that he has a symbiote, he’ll be the carnage like in the 2nd venom movie but worse.

@michaelmorningstar7933 the symbiote was very dormant until it interacted with the metorite shard, it did prefer Peter as a host but that wouldn't have happened if the hunters never attacked. Dr conners definitely wasn't going to show Harry the meteor in that secret lab so it would've just been the flame side quest

No, he bonded it with Harry as part of the treatment for his "Oshtaran" disease, while it was bonded to him it kept him alive but in a coma. Then at the start of this game Harry regains consciousness and reunites with Peter and... well it all goes downhill from there.

1. Did Norman Osborne have the symbiote at the beginning? and he controlled it? 2. are there two symbiotes in the game? In this cinematic, we can see two 3. Why does Harry first have the appearance of Agent Venom with the symbiote but then has the appearance of Venom like Eddie Brock?

The answer to your third question is because the symbiote has been on Spider-Man for a while. Both it and Harry at that moment had collective hatred for Peter and that’s how they manifested into Venom.

1. That was a dream sequence 2. Yes there are actually more than that but at least two were held by ozcorp the other one is implied to be carnage and is stolen and hinted to be a DLC fight. 3. Some what out of just an attempt to use the designs. But it is supposed to show that he get more unhinged the second time he gets it. And that the symbiote seems to like Spider-Man as Harry for instance randomly gets a spider emblem for that suit because the symbiote touches spider man

Y'all forgetting Eddie Brock was namedropped in the first game (not in dialogue but an easter egg). When you collect the backpacks, in one of them you can see the farwell card for Peter at the Bugle. One of the people who signed it is Eddie Brock.

I think I know what this means for Norman, 2 words: GREEN GOBLIN! Maybe the Spider-man 3 game will have Norman as The Green Goblin with only one thing on his mind: revenge on Spidey and Miles for what happened to Harry! Or maybe he'll even brake Doc Ock out of jail and the two will team up to fight Spidey and Miles together!

Wouldn't the symbiote still be in Harry even if Venom was defeated? Just as the symbiote was still attached to Peter for a while. The symbiote was attached to Harry for 2 years, so logically, the symbiote still attached to him.

Hard to say given that Electro, Scorpion, Shocker & Vulture were all killed by Kraven prior to this game. At this point remaking the Sinister Six wouldn't really make much sense as I think the next game is hinted to be the last of a trilogy with Green Goblin as the main antagonist. This games ending also introduced Cindy Moon whom is a character known as Silk a very important Spider-Girl from the Spider-Verse story. Doc Ock also seems to have an agenda of his own heading into the next game and Carnage has been set-up as well. I think the next game has a lot of directions it could go so it's hard to call.

@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective I'm also anticipating some DLC and side games to lay the groundwork for the game with Goblin as the main villain. Seeing as Peter is taking a break, this would be a perfect time to have some DLC with Miles and possibly a side game introducing Cindy Moon, and then bring Peter back into action for Spider-Man 3.

Norman's character is kinda annoying, so Pete separated the symbiote from Harry as per his request. Why is he going on a tantrum that Spiderman ruined Harry? I'm sorry that your son is dying but you made him that way from the first place, Pete's just undoing your blunder.

The first seen is a flashback to before the previous game. Harry was diagnosed with a disease which was slowly killing him, Curt Connors found the symbiote a while prior while working for Osborne who captured it. As a last ditch means to keep Harry alive, Norman asked him to bond with the symbiote which would keep him alive while he tried to find a cure for the disease. Fast forward to this game, Norman decided to let Harry out hoping the symbiote alone would keep him alive.
