i watched harry perform at wembley last month in front of 90,000+ people and now i’m watching this, where it all started. oh my god

It's amazing to hear just how far he has come with his vocals

Whether you love or hate him, Simon is actually very good at recognizing future superstars.

hearing him say “my names harry styles” to a crowd is so weird, no one knew him like we do now and the crowds so calm

The way his personality hasn't changed 😭 I'm emotional

And now he’s won two Grammys! Can’t believe how far he’s come! ❤ Well done Harry!!

His confidence was so much more than you would expect from a young little boy.

It goes to show why Simon is Simon: he can really spot talent. Had i judged this, i never would have let him through. Simon can truly see future stars...its quite crazy.

Tbh, this clip explains why Louie said no. The first song was so off! Also, it makes so much more sense when Nicole says she's glad they had the chance to hear him a cappella. You can say whatever you want about Simon, but he can always spot the raw talent and that x-factor. I think it was the combination of his confidence, the right answers and humbleness AND his second performance that made Simon see the potential in him. Harry really is smart, ambitious and a hard worker. He was not that good to begin with, but who is at the age of 16? He has done the work, and learned to master his art.

Harry's unchangeable charisma was always there. His out-of-tune song seems to me unsurprising, maybe he was nervous, maybe he couldn't hear himself, but I think it was just the wrong choice. But then he sings a capella something he knows well and nails it. You made the right choice, Harry. The rest, as the whole wide world knows, is history.

He ticks all the marks to being successful even after winning: -good voice -great personality -great looks

Watching this back now thinking that he is one of the biggest celebrities in the world gives me chills

I have to admit Simon had a big part in Harry's passing in the first audition If Simon didn't allow Harry to show off his personality or given him a second chance to sing a capella I don't think Harry would've gotten through

I remember back in 2010 when I was younger and I saw them in television for the first time, harry and the rest of 1D members really captured my heart. Not only mine, but millions. They're so genuine and so natural with their charisma and dynamic I love them so much. This audition gave me such nostalgia, thank you for sharing this extended audition 🫶🏼

Simon Cowell is a genius. He noticed that Harry was nervous and quickly adapted the conversation to one that Harry might be familiar with, asking him about the cakes in a dominant way. Hard to notice, but when you do it's very impressive.
