Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan at #FREDFilmRadio to present their new film DON'T WORRY DARLING (OUT OF COMPETITION) at #Venezia79. Interview by Chiara Nicoletti FOR MORE PODCAST INTERVIEWS: fred.fm/ Chairs: Swingdesign.eu
That makes sense though. So many films are bare and hyperrealistic now. Sometimes it's nice to see something that is over stylized and super dramatic while still having substance.
@@CDNMusicLover yeah i think the combination of trying to answer things professionally but also in a way that *absolutely no* clips/blurbs/out of context quotes can be taken from and exploited is like walking through a mine field that’s getting the best of him 😵💫 i can’t imagine trying to do it all in real-time
@@NCO1426 Exactly. He has always spoken slowly because he's searching for the right words because every word he says is picked apart. People who don't follow him have no idea that he's actually very intelligent because of the way he sounds in these short interviews.
Chris Pine had been known to be a well spoken guy for many years, he always give smart answers in interviews remeber he studied English in the university. That is a guy I wish to take my home to hehe!!
In other interviews say with Zane Lowe I never once heard Harry say “um” or lose his way with words. Either he’s nervous or extremely exhausted. God bless him!
You forgot "I think". The man THINKS a whole lot then speaks, says words, so many words, but at the end you don't even know if that answered the actual question, and apparently he doesn't know either. But we love him anyway because he's absolutely endearing.
@@AshleysMommy the man is lucky we are so in love with him. I can’t decide if his answers are absolute toast or if it’s an art form talking so much and saying so little. Anyways he slays xD
Harry took so much time to answer n said so many words but my God didn't get anywhere. I literally had to forward his part. Chris was to the point n concise n Gemma was brilliant.
true but she had questions about her character which she knows the only one in common with the guys was the feminism one and its kinda logic that a woman has more of an answer to it, the 1st question for the guys wasn't an easy one if you don't want things to be taken out of context
yeah ahaha always but i think its because he's nervous, and on a sensible subject such as this one he knows things can be taken out of context by people so he has to be careful about what he says
@@serchicrams6273 do you.. realize he’s been doing interviews since like 2011.. he’ll be attacked for anything he says.. anything he says will be twisted and analyzed and criticized. hes careful w what he says and thinks about it because he knows
@@romanemartinerie9352 I kind of understand what he means but it still doesn’t really make sense in reference to the actual question he was being asked 😃
I loved chris' answer to the first question he knew it was more than a male victimizing matter but the toxicity and irrational obligations that society disproportionately puts on individuals in general and human race at large
He meant the type of movie you want to see in the theater. There are some movies you would only watch at home and others you need to have the big screen to really enjoy the beauty of it. I'm so happy to be able to watch this movie in a theater and not only on a platform.
yeah ahaha always but i think its because he's nervous, and on a sensible subject such as this one he knows things can be taken out of context by people so he has to be careful about what he says
I really feel for Chris, he was totally zoning out or disconnected like he was thinking "What the fu*k this guy is talking about, please someone get me out of here now". You know Chris is known for being a well spoken good mannered guy. He has a B.A. in English. He was an exchange student at the University of Leeds in England and he was in a professional honors business fraternity called Beta Alpha Psi while at UC Berkeley.
@@lbigirl2001 Why you say that? Sorry but Harrys answers were dumb I would had been bored as well. But Chris stayed calm and collected. I did not see Chris impatiente, just a bit surprise as the way Harry answered the questions.
Only fans will know that when Harry starts talking like (Hum, Emm, you know) he's thinking about eluding the answer.. the most elusive human being from his beginnings in one direction 😂😂😂 Love him soooo muuuuuuch ♥️
I really want to be like Gemma Chan. She's well spoken with a sophisticated vibe. My stuttering habit when nervous or when talking to someone needs a lot of work.
i love harry styles to the moon and back and delight in any content that he's involved in but i wish he was clearer in his answers. gemma chan did a wonderful job expressing not only how she felt about the questions but she also provided scenes from the movie to support her answers. i think harry may have gotten nervous and gone off topic (i have a bad habit of doing the same thing) 😂💗 congratulations to the cast of DWD!
@@supernova7848 yeah but I feel like with the dunkirk interviews he may have been more comfortable because he did most of them with another actor he was actually friends with. And with don’t worry darling there was so much drama and rumors wich might have made him a bit nervous and uncomfortable that day
And what he said just after this critised line... No one mentioneds this... Ffs, when we go see a movie /hear a song, how it affects us, what we takeaway, how we process, how each individual sees/relates. But NO, it's what HS states first.Such responses to his opening are absurd and niave and unintelligent 😒.
I really think Chris’s glaze is one of firm humility, respect and empathy for Harry. which I guess is hard for us to imagine bc we see the binary of “eloquent speaker” & “not eloquent speaker”. It’s hard for us to imagine in areas where ego and talent run high that people have healthy / overflowing patience for their fellow humans, in all of their differences, weaknesses, and strengths Idk why I wrote this. I just think we’re so quick to assume that people are throwing shade by simply existing and it says something about us
Remember when I looked forward to Harry doing promo for these two new movies. I forgot the frustration of listening to him circle around the answer and say everything except what he was asked. With Dunkirk at least there was Fionn there to call him out of his BS in a playful way.
@@supernova7848 not to mention, he is touring right now and is performing in sold out stadiums, took a 6 hours flight right after the show and there is a time zone difference. He was hella tired here. Don't pass judgements before the whole thing. I've been following him for years now, I know how he answers questions and I know this wasn't it, but he was tired and trying to keep up.
So glad I checked this out. Makes so much sense and answers a lot of questions relevant today. I really want to see this movie. I'm new to Gemma and I think she's excellent.
Interviewer: “Do you think of your characters as victims?” Harry: “Um…yeah. Men commit suicide. They’re under pressure to provide etc etc.” Chris: “Hell no! I’m a motherfvcking sociopath!”
Well done all four of you!! It would be so hard to not give anything away about the film and answer questions. I followed everyone completely!! Thank you for saying exactly what you did. This culture these days of canceling people, taking words out of context, and being hard on one another is ridiculous. Feels like you’re walking on glass and eggshells. Sigh. Everyone needs to calm down swiftly!! I’m grateful they all gave their time. Walk in love y’all.
poor harry lol you can tell he is so out of his element here but he’s trying his best to make sense 😭that media training gets in his way in these instances
That media training Harry got from the early days it's working against him atm. He's not there to talk about himself or his music but answering questions about a movie he's supposed to promote.
Harry is gonna Harry. He’s one of those people who think one step ahead of a question and end up not answering anything 🤣. It’s why he’s a good listener and not really a speaker/talker
people bashing him for it like he just committed the worst crime 😭😭 i honestly prefer him being like this than to pretend he knows perfectly well what he’s doing. because he doesn’t, he’s new to acting and nervous and i think that’s okay.
@@jupitersecIipse I just admit the fact that our beloved Harry is not an eloquent person. And, that’s ok. Not everyone is born to be eloquent. The fact that he had speech impediment when he was a kid definitely has affected him imo. It’s just incredible how he has become one of the most charismatic live performers in pop music despite of that. People who ridicule him for his shortfall are just bullies.
@@Nokaejoong that’s true! however, i find him to be very eloquent in interview situations he’s comfortable in. with zane lowe for example, he doesn’t stumble over his words or repeatedly say “uh”. it’s mostly nerves i guess and that’s okay.
Just remembered the one he had with Dunkrik, same energy😭 'em, um, i think, i would say' and this with his charisma on stage is what keeps him relevant for 12 years now funny enough. I watched this some minutes after it came out and I remember how funny, educative and silly it sounded all at once😂😂 Gemma and Chris did amazing too!
