I think Beyoncé, isn’t so much worried about winning as much as she appreciates her artistry itself. She’s an artist whom truly loves what she does and it’s not for the accolades but for her, her fans, and the passion she has. Beyoncé to me is like an actor or actress whom is devoted to his or her craft but has never received that top award like an Oscar, Tony, Grammy, or Emmy. They don’t give up, they press forward, praise the nominee whom wins and life goes on. You don’t always need an award to dictate if your winning.
Yeah, they did I the same thing when Lemonade was nominated. They gave her win in a genre specific category but snubbed her for AOTY! It’s a shame but it’s not surprising.
The moment I heard them say 'Harry's House' for AOTY I was like 'Oh no, RUN' cause I knew that poor boy was gonna get hit in all different directions & not just one (no pun intended). My pick this year was actually Kendrick but I wouldn't have been mad if Beyoncé had won. I'm honestly not mad at Harry either cause his album was really great too. I just think if it was any other year where the competition wasn't AS STACKED as this year I would've been ok with him winning but he was up against Adele, Kendrick, Bad Bunny, & Beyoncé among others for AOTY, all had a bigger chance of winning. Hell, even ABBA was on the list this year.
I guess we all have to learn how to accept defeat..and respect the judges' decision.. We cannot win all the time..people's tastes change as the years go by. Young talented artists like Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran to name a few are amazing as well..
I don't have a problem with Harry winning. The real dilemma is the bias the Grammys have against Black artists in the 4 major categories: _Album of the Year _Record of the Year _Song of the Year _Best New Artist Before some of you complain I am playing the race card, look at the facts. I am aware 2 other Black women won in major categories that evening: Lizzo for Record of the Year and Samara Joy for Best New Artist. Last year, Jon Batiste ( a Black man) won for Album of the Year and H.E.R. a few years ago for Song of the Year. These are exceptions to the rule. The Grammys have been around for almost 70 years , and less than 15 Black artists have won Album of the Year. Regarding Black women, it's even worse. Only 3 have won the biggest award of the night: Natalie Cole Whitney Houston Lauryn Hill Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar are international superstars. They have achieved critical and commercial success just like Adele, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and countless others. It doesn't make sense why they keep losing in the major categories.
In 2019, Black man Childish Gambino won ROTY and SOTY. In 2018, Black Man Bruno Mars won ROTY, SOTY, AOTY In 2021, Black Woman Meghan won BNA and Black woman HER won SOTY In 2022, Black Man Bruno Mars, Anderson Pak won ROTY, SOTY and Jon Batiste won AOTY In 2024, Black Women Lizzo and Samara Won ROTY and BNA. Only in 2020 Billie Eilish sweeped because of her undeniable year. Last 5 years, 12 Black artists won in BIG categories, 1 Asian (Olivia Rodrigo BNA last year) and 8 white artists. This shows in last few years progress have been made and Black artists are overrepresented with wins in major categories. Where is the logic?

This is a problem with having 10 nominees. An album/song can win with as little as 10.1% of the vote. They need to announce a “Finalist list” of 10-15 and then narrow down to the 5 when the nominations are announced. Then the category is more representative.
The fact that multiple anonymous voters for the AOTY Grammy in particular stated they didn’t vote for Beyoncé because she “ wins too much” says it wasn’t really about the music in the first place. I believe she cared in the moment but at the end of the day she doesn’t anymore. With two more Renaissance albums on the way and her now being the most awarded Grammy artist of all time , she isn’t phased. She knew she didn’t win it anyway because her Grammy post was posted during the commercial break BEFORE receiving her third one lol so to her, this didn’t come as a surprise. I just think that it sucks that the Grammys allow voters to disregard the music aspect of the win and dictate who the award is given too simply based off if the artist “wins to much” or not. Awards like this should not be an underlining bash of those who are deemed super successful for being super successful. That persons album should be at the forefront of all voting decisions and nothing else.

"Wins too much" she has 32 Grammys now, but only ONE of them is in a general field. It's very much like telling someone, "Oh, you're very pretty *for a Black girl*" or "Yeah, you're kinda cute *for a chubby guy.* Taylor Swift has won AOTY 3 times. Adele is the only woman in history to win SOTY, ROTY, and AOTY TWICE, plus Best New Artist previously. Yet they are CONSISTENTLY still awarded. Nobody thinks it's "too much" for them. Interesting.
I disagree, It sounds almost more like entitlement to me, like I get you wanted someone else to win but be grateful for everything else they achieved, there’s so many artist who have barely gotten grammy awards (like britney) and everyone knows her and her songs but I don’t see people making a huge deal of that either. I'm totally against people pulling their albums out of the contest so someone else can win. Winning that way would be an empty win. Personally, I love Harry Styles' music and I play it way more than Beyonce's. I prefer Beyonce's earlier songs. Those songs were incredible.

Harry’s house was the best album of the year. I bought it and listened to it on heavy rotation. I listened to Beyoncé s album once and a couple of song 2 times and bought one song.

Only reason she's most nominated because she submitts all her songs, live performances and videos to different categories like Pop, R&B, Soul, Urban, hip hop etc. These genres have sevcategories so many nominations. Here her competition is Remy ma. So she wins those easily. In pop there are only 3 categories are there thats pop artists don't have more nominations.

Harry’s House is pop perfection and it’s rare to find a pop album with such quality production, and Harry himself is also part of sound engineering. The main writers of the album are Harry and his 2 producers, so each song is written by 2-3 people. Harry also made a guitar riff which is the most memorable part of his hit As It Was. I think you need to look into more details about how each album is made. Music expert always love when artists write their own music. And it’s hard to deny when Harry wrote his biggest hit himself. Tbh, I don’t think it’s all about racism as you think it is. Or the other two major awards wouldn’t have been given to black women.
Harry deserves a Grammy!! He created an amazing album, songs from the album (and from the previous ones) are sung with him at concerts all over the world. Personally, I can sing almost all , but I don't really know anything from the others, I don't remember them, they haven't sunk into my heart. Perhaps just something from Goldplay. And the album appealed to people across generations.(0-100) He works hard and remains humble, kind and grateful. The price is in the best hands. Music of Spheres felt inventive but also singing was weak and bar seemed to be very low, at "megamix of what they've found gets the cute boys and girls in the crowd jumping"
Good Morning Gorgeous just feels like she's happy to be in the studio, and I'm glad it reflected in the music. But this kind of stood out for me more than the music itself in a way that's hard to explain. The Grammys will award black artists in their genre/ place but they won't give them the big award over white artists. She keeps delivering excellence. They keep snubbing her and getting backlash.
