Fantasia did Tina and Proud Mary justice. She didn’t need any help. She has talent also. Let’s give her her props. She deserves to be recognized on her own merit. She is definitely a singer whereas some people are performers. In other words their singing is adequate. Also let’s not leave out Jennifer Hudson, Ledisi, Lisa Fisher, the late Phyliss Hyman, Anita Baker, Bunny DeBarge,Angela Bofill, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Gladys knight, my sorority sister Patty Labelle and the list goes on. All of these women can “sang” on their own. No help needed in my opinion.
I enjoyed Fantasia’s performance .I didn’t know my girl had any dance skills .This was surely a side of Fantasia I’ve never seen before.She did her thing🔥

I agree Beyoncé no more freebies but like you said she already paid tribute to Tina many times and she already said no so they shouldn’t have tried to sneak one in. But fantasia did a good job of speaking out about it. And it would have taken the spotlight off of fantasia. I get it. It makes perfect sense. Beyonce's probably tired of the Grammys trying to have viral moments off of her while she's not feeling respected. I'm not a biased Bey fan. I'm more of a Fantasia fan these days but that's messed up that after she said no the Grammys tried to use her and Fantasia as pawns. She said no stop trying to get her on it. That's good she didn't do it. No one should be forced to do anything. Especially for the Grammys ratings and headlines.

Plain and simple.. Beyoncé did not want to dance nor be put on the spot to do so. Everybody knows she is kinda shy. Prepping to perform is one thing but being called out when you’re just trying to relax and blend in with everyone else is different.

I have watched this clip multiple times and I honestly believe Fantasia really didnt see Beyonce standing there. When she finished dancing with Dua Lipa, you can clearly see she was looking in a different direction than where Beyonce was standing. It happens all the time. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. No, watching it live I was like Fantasia? What you doing trying to get that woman with the big hat blocking her whole head to dance with you and she won’t? Oh shoot it was Beyonce after the camera did a close up. She literally picked her out like some random audience member to keep the show moving. It wasn’t personal or intentional but I picked out how impersonal it looked because girl that was actually Beyonce. Weird coincidence. Not like Fantasia knew what she was gunna look like that that night. Strictly buisness. Fantasia at work. No distractions just serving us the entertainment efficiently. And did.

After having been through my fair share of leeches in my own life, I have started taking a step back quietly and graciously just like Beyoncé. One gets drained to the point where there's nothing left to give and one can only slip into self-preservation mode because people have proven that they wouldn't even help fill your cup once they have emptied it. Instead, they would deplete you and turn on you afterwards. Someone reminded my non-religious self of a verse that says something like 'don't cast your pearls to the pigs because they will trample on them and turn on you.' Beyoncé had identified the 'pigs' in her world and she treats them accordingly. Look what happened to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. I love that she continues to be gracious to people personally but gives nothing to these vultures. Good on her! Fantasia was great by the way ❤

Did you hear the clear man say … they see Beyoncé clapping off beat and she’s not taking the bait … and the production team did a wide shot and came back when Fantasia had passed Beyonce to cover their butts because that was an awkward moment… then the clear guy when on to state how Beyonce got back on beat once she proved she couldn’t be spontaneous without being spontaneously paid

Y'all missed the entire point of this video talkin bout "Fantasia doesn't need B to shine..." blah blah. It's about how the Grammy's USES black entertainers to build ratings but rarely do they WIN! Beyonce should have long ago won Album of the Year. And even Adele acknowledged it. I'm proud of B for clapping offbeat and not dancing a jig for free....AND she showed up LATE and unbothered with JayZ winning an award and giving a speech.

I think people are missing the point of the video. It doesn’t take away from Fantasia’s talent but the Grammy’s always want to profit from Beyoncé’s stardom and allure but don’t respect her and award her properly. After being constantly snubbed for the main awards and given consolation prizes and expected to be happy, she’s done. She hasn’t performed for the Grammys in almost a decade and probably won’t in the future and the Grammys need to stop trying to pull one over her and the audience.
