In this episode, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and I sat down to discuss all things cinema - from Sofia Coppola to Aditya Vikram Sengupta. There’s nothing quite like discussing films with someone who watches and engages with such diverse cinema from across the world, someone who has such clarity about their opinions on it.
The Humans of Cinema Podcast is a show where I hope to engage in meaningful conversations about films and the impact of cinema with the people who make the movies.
Host : Harshit Bansal
Camera team: Samraj and Anshika
Production team : Ahona, Samraj, Anshika, Rishabh
Editor: Prince

he truly defined what being a cinephile means. his method of acting or thoughts might not attract the large mass but when it reaches the right audiences, we admire and love every bit of it. may he never deviate from this point of view and hope to see him steal the limelighit soon with the rightful content.

I don't know what people have so much against him , he has a very good sense of cinema as he is educated about it ..there are very few bollywood actors who have studied acting/ movie making/ directing. Im not talking specifically about going to a film school but cultivating the culture of watching good films .. which is missing

Completely agree, but that doesn't discount the fact that he has no acting craft!

When you have no shortage of money and belong to the kapoor family, it's easy to b.s. about script and why the audience "doesn't get it". He doesn't give give a $h!t about bollywood. All he watches are hollywood movies but nobody will take him there.

Great conversation, so many recommendations... just great. But, for me, what makes Harshwardhan stand out is him not being pretentious, accepting his privilege, but still being grounded and dedicated towards his craft. I have seen all his movies, and hope he keeps delivering ❣️

Loved this podcast! Harshvardhan Kapoor truly has a very good sense of what is CINEMA. Like I could really personally relate when he said he is not into sci-fi, fantasy, marvel kinda stuff. Also gotta love his approach towards work. Reminds me of Aamir Khan’s approach in mid/late 90s, even though the latter had already become a superstar while being choosy, but HVK is doing that from the start of his career, which is truly remarkable and courageous.

Also super excited and happy that he’ll be working with Aditya Vikram Sengupta, who’s undoubtedly one of the most promising filmmakers of India.

@abhijeetmalhotra1345
@abhijeetmalhotra1345 11 месяцев назад
@@harshraj6116there is no parameter. That is the point. Media wants you to believe Dharma and YRF are the parameter and attempting anything else is stupid or crazy or waste of time as he said in the beginning. Be open to things. Just because you don't understand what cinema is truly capable of doesn't mean it should not exist. The kind of cinema Harshvarrdhan Kapoor wants to make should co-exist with Dharma and YRF. But our audiences are so success-minded and backward that anything that doesn't say "400 cr 500 cr box office" on the poster is not worth watching. Our respect for art reflects in our society and the backwardness of our thought. It is all connected whether you accept it or not.
