I used to order Charles River brand rats for experiments. Now I see where they came from, I guess. And elevators? And stair wells? I don’t recall those at Yale. My dad was an enlisted man in the Army. I was amazed at what drunken boors many from the upper classes were. They would have fallen to their deaths if we had had stair wells. Of course I was there before Yale admitted women, who very likely civilized the place.
