This is my last fall season video of 2023. I had too many stock piled for the slow times in the winter. I'm trying to have 1 video out each week and, fell short last year do to the winter months.

This fall season was wild. I was still finding fresh evergreen huckleberries in mid December.

That's normal. I'll still see them in January.

I start finding ripe ones in September and still find them in January.

Have you tried filling the sink full of water and then adding the berries. All the leaves and pine needles should float to the surface. And the berries should sink

I still have to separate the stems and, I tried the water method. That worked with the old ones they floated to the top as well. I like giving a hands on to find the old squishy ones that are over ripe.
