Kathy Garver is a very charming and proactive lady, a true pro. And yes, "Family Affair" had substance, I distinctly recall certain episodes that have had a lasting impact. Thank you for your equally charming dynamic with her, sir Harvey!
Loved this interview. I was a big fan of Family Affair. There were so many valid lessons taught from watching that program. Also, a "family" without a mom, that was a first for television I think. Kathy Garver has done so much, I had no idea. Thank you for highlighting her career. I will go back and rewatch the many many shows she has acted in. Great interview. Thank you
Well Harvey, there is yet another wonderful person saying to you “ Wow! Really great question! I’ve never been asked that one before”. This was such a wonderful interview. You covered so much. I would find it impossible to imagine anyone not being captivated by Kathy Garver and her energy, her personality, her insight, her work ethic, her warmth and sincerity. You all brought up such interesting points. I loved that you brought up the question of what her thoughts were on being a child star and how difficult it might be now with social media as opposed to back then. She basically brought up cyber bullying as a big difference now days which I find such a sad reality that anyone has to circumvent things like that. I loved that you so genuinely let her know how much you respect her and tried to so graciously remind her of all that she’s done so that she understands what a phenom she is! My memories of Family affair are of it being a very “real” show. It was a very grounded show, a very natural show. I love that about it. When I re watch an episode, I am struck with the humanity of the show, the tenderness and the very natural style of the acting. Brian Kieth is just such a natural actor. He fascinates me. You’re so right, the show is about love, relationships and creating a family for these kids and how the changes in the lives of everyone affect each person. It’s not a gag oriented show, it’s a slice of life show. As far as amazing Kathy Harvey goes…It took me years to get one little book out there, she has five books out there with more on the way AND movies AND TV work AND talk shows AND audio books AND a family!!! She’s a powerhouse and a joyous one at that. Thank you for bringing another great interview to us Harvey!

That’s me….a human bubble machine!! Too bad I never got to interview Lawrence Welk. But I did get to interview Ralna English, of “Guy & Ralna”, from the Lawrence Welk Show.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 Did ever/or will ever interview Bobby Burgess who was a dancer (both of the Mickey Mouse club and the Lawrence W. show)?
Did Sissy and Greg ever end up getting married on family affair? Haha i always wondered what their relationship was. Always dressed up to go out on what appeared to be dates with each other, but were just friends?🤔
I'm losing my mind. In the ep where Kathy plays snotty Monica on TPDS. A different name is listed. The first time I saw this ep. I said she resembles Kathy. With the different name. Also the character was so unlike Cissy. I thought it was a different actress. Could someone clear this up?
They acknowledge she was on Patty Duke show at 7:20. IMDB lists her as Kathy Garver in role of Monica Robinson. I don't know if she ever worked under a different name.
