I have a Harvey, trying to figure out using the fence with attachments. Could you show the completed piece you added to the fence for adding the dados?
It depends on the application. The Powermatic has a 5 hp motor while the Harvey's motor is 3 hp. The more powerful Powermatic is better for heavy duty jobs. We purchased the Harvey because it has a smaller footprint and we only had so much space available for a fourth table saw. It was also less expensive. It has been a good saw so far so we are happy with out decision.
