I'd love a shirt that says "Came for the sheep, stayed for the wheat!" Haha! Been watching since COVID, fellow Canadian, and love learning about all things farm life 💜🐑🌾
Same boat. I started watching at the end of covid when I moved from SW Ontario to NW. Sandi's channel helps me feel connected to home. This is also a great idea for a design
I love haying! Every time Sandi talks about haying I’m happy but certainly understand the balance of waiting for it to be ready and hoping to get it dry before rain.
I used to do vending shows, lots of work, but so much fun. I made specialty blankets, coverlets and pillows, pot holders, you get the idea. I made good money, one day i noticed this guy walking around with a note book, he would check out the venders items, make notes and walk away, i asked him what he was doing (out of curiosity) he told me he works for a company, that finds popular items at vending shows and they figure out how to mass produce in a cheap form. A month later, i saw my blanket creation on the shelves of walmart. It was before the "furry, silky" fabrics had been seen outside the small market, i would make one-side either furry or minky and pair it up with a contrasting fabric with or without print. The fabrics i bought were not cheap, i only sold quality, which is why i could get $45 to $55 per baby blanket. Everything on the shelf was so cheap and flimsy. Sales went down, i had to create something else. But i learned a lot, big companies, use us for their ideas.
Looks a if you had a good week, happy to see. Sandi, About your merch issue. I had an issue where someone came into my website and basically copied all my photos and descriptions and set it up as there work. Another did something similar but since I had more knowledge it went a lot faster. Not an attorney by far but I did send cease and desist (copyright infringement on original artwork) letters to email and physical address (get signatures). Have your artist do the same. Don’t let them tell you that they changed 30% of the design so they are not copying her art. That’s wrong in this situation. They also need to remove any # with your name as well. Also, write to Google inform them of your situation and in your cease and desist let them know you started a process with Google to get them removed. If you have an attorney friend ask more. I know this takes time but if they don’t stop. Let us fans all know and we will go to there sites and can get them in other ways we can discuss privately about that. I’m retired I can help. When they finally stop it is very satisfying. Don’t let them do this to you or your artist. Hope this helps.
You need to put the Sheepishly Me water mark across every stock photo on your website. That way they cannot duplicate the design. We had to do that with our designs when we went to selling online.
You can reach out to the company directly and demand they remove your design from their website as you didn't give them permission to use your designs. Im not sure what Canadian laws are on who you can reach out to, but I'd look into it. I'd also let your artist friend know.
Canada does have a trademark law. What legal action Sandi and the artist can pursue under this law will be determined by what they have registered for and been granted as trademarks under that law. Doing a Google search on "trademark laws in Canada" will bring up the applicable websites.
Fun way to exercise Miss Piper and whomever is the pilot. Pilot has some skills keeping it just out of reach. Easily enough to see Piper was having a blast. Congratulations on finishing hay.
Mark -- thank you for the drone and teaching Sandi how to use it!! Sandi your audience greatly appreciates the drone footage of Mark merging the rows. It allows us to visualize the immense amount of land you are working in your AG business. Sandi your photography skills are amazing - was checking out your library of videos on YT, you have improved year over year. Hope the ankle heals well, Mark
I wanted to tell people what I noticed. Between Facebook and Instagram and their algorithms, they keep ripping off my pictures of fine sugar flower work, cake designs, diy jewelry, sweater designs etc. I’m an artist and use social media for ideas and inspiration, but when I get my ideas stolen before I can even get my work watermarked or copyrighted that is frustrating! What’s more, it’s done by bots and trolls! Sandi is not alone in her frustration… but it doesn’t make it any less upsetting!
Back in the day I was carving candles and a scout from Hallmark ( my friend knew her) took one of my designs and it was in the shops in about 6 months .
OMG Willow running to the bunk and her little head going to & fro was so cute! Piper is not as dumb as we think she is. When Mark put that drone down she was right there and jumped up. She was ready and finally caught it !!
I love watching the equipment at work, and the results you get; seeing the rows being merged is so satisfying to watch. I am so happy that you share the crop farming as well as the Sheep farming, Sandi. And I agree, your one ewe in the breeding groups is a beautiful lady. Not as beautiful as Billy's Mom, but she's so special! I love her dark bluish eyes, and her expression, she's quite the Queen, isn't she! Tomatoes is adorable, no doubt, but Billy's Mom and sweet little Willow are just so lovely, cute and beautiful at once. Billy himself is also a looker too of course. I am relieved for you that Hay is working out despite the hiccups. Hope Mark is sleeping easier, lol Edit: Piper chasing the drone is so funny! Jess must have laughed at that clip!
😆 loved Piper chasing the drone! 😆 super in love with the drone footage, I can appreciate the scale so much better - so glad Piper didn’t catch the drone ! 😄
The drone shots are so beautiful. As a beach town girl it has been so fun learning all about your grain and lambing life. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.
Oh, how I needed this. I am located in Houston TX and we had a mild hit from Hurrican Beryl. Most of Houston is without power! I am currently at my husband's shop (4 wheel drive shop) He only has power because he is on the same power grid as the Hospitals near downtown. It is hot at my home (they issued a heat advisary) with what feels like 100% humidity. I am sitting in his waiting area watching RU-vid and charging electronics along with some power banks to take home. If you are inclined, say a prayer for thoes who received major damage and for thoes who have lost loved ones. I did get to meet some work crews who came in from Missippi and Kentucky to help this morning while sitting here. These people came to help and they told me they had 5 utility trucks stolen and over 20 broken into and cleaned out of their equipment. Shame on the people with sticky fingers, who can't appreciate they the fact they are here to help get their power back on!...Anyway, Thank You Sandi for making me smile and distracting me from our reality. God Bless You and Yours!
They need to hire security for trucks. Sounds about right for Houston though. When Harvey hit they had State troopers all around areas that had a curfew. Maybe some people can help the linemen. We did that for victims. A bag with supplies for a family
I'm glad you can get some relief from the heat. That would be unbearable to be in that heat. That makes me so mad that people are stealing equipment while they are trying to help others.
how disgusting those ppl are. they definitely should be hiring armed security to sit with all the trucks in a fenced in yard or police station or something so this can't happen. imagine ripping off all the ppl there to help restore your infrastructure? just evil.
I got my power back last night!!! It makes me angry that people will steal from the linemen who are here to HELP us! I hope that you have power by now.
Copy right infringement, my sons friend, who is a photographer, took some action shots of my son skateboarding, one of the shots was so cool, he posted it for sale on his business website and a magazine printed it in an article (they paid for use). Someone took the image, made posters, etc. He had his attorney contact them for using the image without permission, they were making money from it, they had to stop using the photo and had to pay $200. For each time the picture was sold, whether it be in t-shirts or print, anything they made money on, they had to pay. Its worth reporting. If they just posted the picture but didnt sell any copies, that usually is a warning to remove, if they fail to remove, then a fine can placed.
@@sharongreen1366 That's true, a jewellery designer I know had her design copied by a company in China and for every $400 ring in actual precious metals she produced, they were making 500 $50 plated rings in her design. He lawyer said just hunting them down would cost more money than she would ever make off her design and she'd never see any compensation from them, because copyright infringement is just a joke to the Chinese legal system.
Go get them Sandi Don’t let this Ass Hat take advantage of your sweet forgiving heart. If I was an attorney I would get them for you. Unbelievable the balls some jerks have. 😮. Sorry about the potty language but this really in rages me.
And I am amazed by your perseverance and ingenuity in breaking the 12-year hay curse. Your determination to innovate and upgrade, as showcased in Vlog 804, reflects your unwavering commitment to excellence. Your ability to transform challenges into opportunities is truly inspiring. And I am Floating Village Life
I don’t know if flies both sheep like they do horses. When the flies are bothering our horses they like to go into the run in sheds to try and get away from the flies. We use fly repellent and it works pretty good too
Love seeing Sandi videos pop up!! So cute to see the golden girls munching on the fresh hay. Excited to see what will happen in the second cycle of the ewes. Love watching you and Mark working together with the haying and cropping. Have a great day Sandi!
Best time of day! Love when Sandi posts a new video for us. ❤ Can’t wait for the August lambing! It’s crazy to think it’s so close. That’s crummy that people are already taking your designs and selling them. I recently saw another RU-vidr that had that happen after her merch launch. I wonder if the artist can do anything since they’re using her art without permission. You’re wonderful and amazing Sandi! Keep up all the fabulous work! ❤️🐑❤️
Piper got soooo close! 😂😂😂 Sandi and Mark, I'm not sure you could have gotten a much more perfect day than that! 🎉🎉🎉 Your pad went in beautifully! And you didn't lose a drone to Piper! Lmao! It's the little things!
Was so excited yesterday when I received my two tank tops I love both and they fit perfectly. I hope that some day we can get a picture either on the front or back like the T-shirt Hope everyone is having a wonderful day 💕
How often do you clean out the weanlings barn? Do you clean out the golden girls barn? I’m guessing at least one time once winter is over. Your sheep have such diverse personalities, it’s quite comical at times. Watching how you respect your property and the machinery is quite the example for everyone. I’m excited for your new adventures this year.
Thank you, Sandi, for showing how they put the new out-of-the-box covering on the machine, and how they close off the beginning of the new bag. "How do they do that" is always interesting! Thank you.
YIPPEE now a day can commence. 😊 truly am greatful Sandi ,for your videos they bring me aways from my city life down a past path into comfortable memories of a better life. 😊thanks for being you and making safe, family-friendly content. I never worryin' im going to be triggered watching( a huge deal, btw)
Sandi, good job done, bagging your hay is always a big job for the future feed for your sheep. Your sheep, that feed on grass, still love eating dry feed. Love from Mike. ❤
I have to watch this later. I am finishing up a quilt I made for some and want to get it finished today. Until then. Be safe and careful. Hope the hurricane remnants is not going to get you guys
Loved watching Piper chase the drone! I use the jet sprayer on our hose and let my dogs chase the stream of water in the back yard. One is a chaser and the other is a leaper. I had to slow it down for them this year. They're getting older and have arthritis now. But they do enjoy cooling off when the temperature hits the upper 90s.
A great video. You do such a good job explaining all there is with harvesting and farm life. This city girl loves your videos! Piper chasing the drone was an added bonus. ❤
Loved this one! Watching Mark do the hay… kinda made me happy/sad. I remember sitting in the tractor while my grampa worked on hay, peanuts, cotton, etc. brings back so many memories watching your channel. 💜💜💜
Our daughter is due august 12.... Our first Grand baby 🥰 Cant wait!! With a bit of luck we are taking care of babies are the same time 😅 Love from the Netherlands ❤
Piper is too cute chasing the drone. The whole family including the animals are beautiful souls. I get all my "feel good feelings" , as well as learning so many things from you Sandi. Thanks for taking your time to give us these videos. Your the best. I can't wait for the next round of babies. 🐏🌾🐑🤍🐏🤎🐑🖤🐏🌾🐑
I love your channel. I started watching around episode 275 and it was so interesting I went back and watched from episode one. Try to never miss and episode. Thank you for all you do and sharing your videos.
I am endlessly fascinated by the scale of what you achieve as mostly just the two of you. And I love the drone footage, it gives a whole different perspective on the field work.
I was just tickled to see Willow's joy as she skipped and kept her head high and tossed it back and forth to meet the feed truck, but more than just munching away, she leaned in for some scratches from her hooman mom!
Piper almost got the drone. I love how Piper is your daughters dog but you have her there. That happened to me. I just loved seeing those beautiful fields of hay being turned over. I was hoping you would show hiw the hay is out into the long tubes. What a smart thing to do. Thank you for taking us along Sandi. It fills me up.
Just about every RU-vidr that sells merch has fake channels that pop up and rip people off. Anyone purchasing merch, needs to be sure it’s a legitimate channel.
Yup. I got hacked, and they stole quite a bit out of my account before I noticed. I'm better at making sure I'm on legitimate sites now. Well... Not ME. I have a much more tech-savvy kid who makes fun of me if I make mistakes now. 🎉🎉🎉
Hi Sandi!! Fantastic video!! My favorite was when Piper was chasing the drone. She was so smart to jump up on something higher but she got yelled at for trying to be smarter than the people who were teasing her lol. Can’t ya give a little dog a break? LOL!!😂🤣💜
If we only could send some of the rain to Tara in Australia! That leads to a question to Sandi: How do you think the climate in Canada has changed during your farmer career, and how has it effected your farm and family?
Watching that pup playing with the drone is the best thing ever. So cute!! I'm glad 2nd cut went so much better for you. You needed something good to happen. Let's hope you have a great turn out with the ladies!! Fingers crossed for you!
Just watched Fed by Farmers. They had on a gentleman who is CEO of an organization working to help wool producers. Really interesting and made me so proud of you for creating a market for your wool that had no value. 💜
It was interesting to see how you attached the bag onto the hay bagger. I'd never seen that done before. Oops! Piper almost had the drone! 😂 Thanks for bringing us along, Sandi!! Love ya ❤️~ Jo
