I know muriatic acid can be pretty potent. It can completely dissolve rocks within seconds-minutes depending on their size. (Tested for scientific purposes in safe environment) I’d be interested in seeing a video using the Acid on rust spots in concrete. I think IronOut (powdered form) would also be a good test for a safer, yet stronger alternative to the bleach, and slightly weaker than muriatic acid

I use the regular bleach from Dollar Tree (any dollar type store). As it is around 3% (sodium hypochlorite) and doesn't need diluting (or very little) compaired to the pool type chlorine at 10% which does need diluting (it's also cost effective). I spray full strength (3%) and the green algae is gone in minutes. Been using it for years, and yes I forget to water down the plants and grass most of the time... but at 3% strength I haven't had any problems. Sometimes I do rinse, but mostly schedule the cleaning just before it rains. And bleach is also recommended for cleaning the moss, algae and black algae stains from asphalt shingles. I use the 3% bleach for that also and the moss just falls off with the wind or rain. And after a few applications the black staining goes away. For applying to shingles, its best to do it on a cool cloudy day (keeps it from drying to fast). I do try to stay off the roof and my sprayer can reach the ridge for my roof.

You are a very pleasant person to listen too and learn from. I'm not in the lawn care business but I do have a small lawn around my house that after watching your videos I know needs my attention. Paying to have it done all the time isn't as fulfilling. I'll be splitting up the time as I watch you and learn by doing. Thank you for being you man. Excellent work and videos.

Retired painting contractor of 40 years, I pressure washed every house or building we painted. You did a very good job ,there's not to many real hard workers left. But the algae your talking about is the living and the black mold is what it changes to as it dies and leaves stains everywhere.

One should be extremely cautious with chemicals. As a child I washed out the farm sprayer that had Round Up, from Monsanto. 45 years later and I got lymphoma from that chemical. Cancer’s no joke and here I sit six years later with Adenocarcinoma of the lungs and chest. STAY SAFE! Thank you for teaching this business to others as it’s a step by step tutorial of how to start a business and sustain it.thank you.

Pressure washing old brickworks tends to erode the thin glazing that protect the brick. This is especially true of bricks made in the last centuries, that where not totally fired to the core. It makes the brick more porous to water, this can end up fragilize the whole thing. I think it is better to think of a multi-year approach where each year you come with a weak anti-algea product and then hose washing and with some brushing. Granted the immediate visual aspect is not the same at all.

dash fl, I was 19 when I started my own business as a sign artist, and though I did OK over the years, I suffered a lot of not knowing the business. We did not have this luxury of the internet, let alone RU-vid, to help us along. You are so lucky to start at that age and have all these "mentors" that are available to you 24/7 and many of them. Best wishes, and I really hope you much success. One of my biggest mistakes was being a "know-it-all" and not learning when I thought I knew what I was doing. Now, I'm 62 and looking back wondering, "what the heck went wrong!" and I see aplenty! Learn from as much as you can, even if you already know it!

I followed your advice on the Walmart chlorine 50:50 ratio to prep my patio for power washing. We bought mulch and it seems like it was dyed a darker brown that ultimately bled onto our light grey patio pavers. I followed your exact instructions and the patio looks amazing and like new and it did not take a lot of elbow grease to get the results. I sprayed it on and let it sit for 10 minutes and followed up with an inexpensive Greenway power washer with the turbo tip. THANK YOU for sharing - incredible and for $5 there is nothing like it. Watching the moss turn white and die in front of my eyes was so satisfying!

You should use a gate valve vs a ball valve. I say this b/c a partially opened ball valve will blow out the seals around the valve. Ball valves are designed to be fully open or fully closed. A gate valve is just that a gate so you can throttle it back without damaging the valve it self. Love your content nice job on the brick it looked great!!

hello L.C.J as a colleague i can recommend you to try/use a dirt blaster nozzle instead of a flat jet nozzle. dirt blaster nozzles operate on the same principle as a 20 inch surface cleaner. But it is more like a strong single rotating beam of water witch you can use in tricky corners. I hope it will save you some more time and money. greetings from the Netherlands

Really good setup for beginners, our company has trucks and we have 400 gallon tanks, and 2 reels. A hard line and a soft line, soft line fills the tank, hard line goes on the wand. Tank fills and unit pulls from tank. And we also have diesel boilers to get hot water as well
