Her SISTER HAD TO INTERVENE SO HIS PARENTS WOULD AGREE TO MEET BEENA’S PARENTS! XD you know, the world is not “white/black/generic brown people”. There are tons of cultures within these groups you simply call “brown” or “black”. Like, I’m Latinamerican (which you might call brown, I guess), but if I was to marry, say, an Otavaleño (which is a culture from MY OWN COUNTRY), their parents would HATE ME! And IM A DOCTOR! For a Muslim like him to marry a Hindu like Beena, because of love..., that’s way more defiant than marrying some Caucasian girl just for what you consider “the cause”

4:55 Well done, Hasan Minhaj. That was so subtle, but impactful. How white folks repeatedly mispronounce our names. As an Indian-Australian, I'd be damned if at least once every few weeks, one white person doesn't act racist and intentionally mispronounces my name. Hats off to Hasan for what he just did there. Calling out discrimination. Thanks.

"Prashant" is too hard to say? Which one of those two syllables is too difficult to make out? Few Indian (or non-white in general) names are as hard as white people make them out to be. It's just that they give up as soon as they see a name that's not Kaeitlynne.

Chieng is great, true.... and so is Roy Wood Jr. and Desi Lydic. I just felt, at least initially, Jordan, Jessica, and Hassan was somehow playing at different field than the new ones. They are the one who carries the perpetuity from Jon to Trevor, kept the flavor intact while Trevor slowly paints the show a new one. I love all the new correspondents now, but it is still worth remembering, that Hassan Minhaj was the last vestige of Jon Stewart's understudies.

they all are though for real - it's scripted ... still a good story though. I mean if you've ever seen bill burr on multiple talk shows - it's like a routine basically.

I would love to watch these two just talk about their lives as a special. Marriage, having kids, meeting celebrities. They are both fantastic story tellers, I'd pay to watch that.
