"I don't need to see their argument to give my response, I mean surely their argument is the same as most people I've debated with" Hasan is.... a unique individual
Trans person here: Transition is not natural. And sadly, it quite often doesn't help the dysphoria despite it being there to treat dysphoria. This is something I try to explain to very young trans people all the time, because they start to hate their parents for not letting them transition as a child - even though they don't understand the reality of transition and its impact on quality of life. Therapy > transition. Coping skills > band aid that is less than 50% effective.
I believe there is also a previously transgender male who is now a founder to an organization to bring awareness to the dangers of transitioning. This person who previously identified as a male, now wants to transition back to their birth gender, back to being a female. I have am aware of two instances of why transgendering children is dangerous and needs to be properly addressed and not something to be frivolous about. Even I, have personal experiences of having a identity crisis as a child. Even as a teen I suffered a sexuality crisis as well because I was being bulled for people assuming I was a lesbian because I was a tomboy. This has serious impacts on a young mind. My mind that I am still having issues with because I now have great contempt for females because I was bullied by them into wanting to be a boy, among other reasons (and I think, that isn't too far off with some trans people, they hate their own gender and what it represents similar to how I hated females, so I wanted to be a boy). If I had therapy, I might have been able to come out as a much more mentally capable person, but I didn't, I still hate females as a female myself, how messed up is that? It wasn't until my later in my mid-twenties that I learned to cope with and grew out of being a tomboy, because I became wiser and mature enough to know who I am as a person and not the "idea" of the person. I still have issues and I have a lot of resentment, but I know who I am now. I hope that one day, the trans community needs to understand that some people are trying to find out who they are, and forcing these changes actually causes harm, and people will be more accepting if there was more respect for each individual experiences and to understand that just because a female is a tomboy, doesn't mean she's trans, nor does that make her gay, she's a just a female that's more in touch with masculinity. There is a difference.
You'll need to be careful with your language when you do so. I found that you have to walk on egg shells when speaking on this topic, especially in academic settings.
@@awfan221 Indeed - I have set many a young person into an angry fit, which is unfortunate and obviously not helpful. The most pressing issue to me is that they are often suicidal and think it will help them avoid those feelings, and this in particular is one of the least likely things that transition will help fix. IMO, cognitive behavioral therapy is much more effective at changing one's outlooks and alleviating the negative thought patterns of suicidal ideation.
@@TheOriginal_Unaleska If we're thinking of the same person, the person was interviewed in 'What Is A Female?' by Matt Walsh. I felt so bad for them, and you could tell that they deeply regretted the transition and only wants to help people not to make the same mistake. They talk about how much the procedure scarred them, how they've been in and out of the hospital multiple times a year due to complications. It was heartbreaking to watch. I'm also glad you mentioned tomboy's. I've noticed since this entire trans phase started that tomboy's are never talked about anymore. The thing people need to realize is that it's perfectly fine for a girl to enjoy boy things, and it's perfectly fine for boys to enjoy girl things. It doesn't mean they want to be the opposite sex, it means they're kids being a kid.

Something being natural or unnatural shouldn't automatically be an insult: getting plastic surgery is unnatural, getting braces to straighten your teeth, or straight up veneers are unnatural, it doesn't mean it's an insult to someone has gotten those things, it's just a fact EDIT: for the record, since I feel like my comment emboldens ppl to say things I don't quite agree with: I do think body dismorphia is a common occurrence within the mind and is natural, but the ACT OF TRANSITIONING isn't something we can do naturally, though I support anyone's decision to go through that process if it makes them happier
Trans people have a history of being invalidated bc religious people consider their existence “unnatural”. It’s the same reason it would be fucked up to point at someone in a wheelchair and say “idk why they want us to accept them as one of us. That chair is unnatural and I don’t want my kids around that.” It’s offensive bc of the fact it implies there’s something wrong with trans people
Now that we live in a technologically advanced period of society we as a society should be more comfortable with receiving man made alterations on our physiology and anatomy. And more than that, we should celebrate the fact that we can have fake teeth, fake hair and fake genitals. It’s fucking cool. If the stigma of fake is bad is abolished, then we can finally have that unity we’ve all been searching for. Trans women are women, but they are not female. And that’s ok that doesn’t make them any less than natural women nor should they have different rights. Who cares, let’s move on to the war in the Ukraine and the import crises.
Just wanted to say this. Thank you for being a smart person who sees facts for what they are. *Facts.*, You good person, have a good day, you earned it ❤️

That's because they don't want a discussion. If a weak argument knows that it is a weak argument, it must be kept away from critical discussion at all costs.
Hasan is beyond disingenuous, incredibly self-righteous, & has an extreme overestimation of how smart/wise he is. In reality, he's the perfect case study for Dunning Kruger.
Seriously though. His entire platform is straw manning positions in bad faith so he can attack them in order to sound morally superior & correct. He's so brain dead & I really wish people would just stop giving him attention. I get that it's an impossibility to an extent because of how massive he is, but Hasan really is just a waste of time. He believes he's always right & has the only moral take & never concedes an opinion or changes his mind. It's incredibly tiring & transparent to people who don't buy into the idea of "Stan"ing anyone.
I have found Hasan to be horribly misinformed but that Messi inclusion was the icing on the cake. A man getting treatment to grow to be the mighty height of 5'7 instead of being a dwarf is somehow an unfair advantage lmao. This dude is just an emotionally reactive echo box of liberal propoganda and I say this as someone who leans more left myself. This is such a horrible way to go about discussions.
The best part is that if Hasan was more informed (which is something the trans person {the one Hasan ridiculed} was criticizing Hasan for not being), he could have made an argument that exemptions for Trans Women to be in women's sports could be made if they medically transitioned at an early enough age (an age before the onset of puberty, which is most responsible for men's competitive edge in sports). But Hasan seems more interested in appearing progressive than actually being so. He regularly does reaction videos to other Marxist Creators where he really doesn't contribute to anything they say. I never understood why Marxist creators tolerate him or even like him to the point of having him on as a guest on their podcasts. He is a lot of things Marxist criticize progressive liberals for from his seemingly lavish lifestyle (Marxists are generally austere minus their "shiny things" like hobbies or consumer products they really enjoy) to his channel structure. His behavior regularly mimics Vaush, a creator many Marxists loathe for his behavior and for being into that unproductive debate-bro stuff. The only difference being Vaush is an anti-communist while Hasan (probably only pretends) to have sympathy for them. I think many Marxists should cut ties with him. His demeanor reminds me heavily of many strategies the CIA used to undermine Marxist Organization.
That painful back and forth in Hasan's head was hilarious. Hasan: They are transphobes so I hate them. But I do not know anything about them. You say they criticize people I hate? I should love them. But you say they have criticized me? Then I think I should hate them..." Pure gold.
As a trans woman who has watched Aba & Preach for almost a year now, I don’t get that vibe at all. They have said positive things, they point out the BS some trans folks do & non trans people do that makes the trans community looks bad. That’s OK!
THey've just basically said, 'trans women are really just men' and you go off on that. People understand that trans women can still get prostate cancer or wahtever, no one is going to deny that. They think we're pedophiles and predators. This is the same shit they make up when talking about bathroom bs.

There's nothing anti-trans about this, imo, and I'm not sure why you're bringing it up as though a trans person should be offended. That there are people who will lie, cheat, and steal, and that some of those may either be trans or pretend to be for their own negative purposes, is just a fact. He seems to think he's smarter than everybody else and is completely corrupted with the 'power' he has from his following and influence. I'm sick of being equated with hate for asking questions. I've put up with misogyny and racism my whole damn life, and I would never accuse someone of being sexist/racist for just making a point or being confused. People just say ANYTHING nowadays like they crave oppression
If you take away peoples right to ask questions then what you say no longer needs to make sense. And its easier supporting any cause when you dont need to do that.
There’s nothing thoughtful about Hasan Piker’s perspective. He spouts an SJW script, one that allows no room for nuance, and half the internet jerks him off for it. Being socially aware, being awake (not woke) requires ACTUAL thoughtfulness, nuance, and complex perspective. If you so much as say “I’m going to take a minute to think about this”, they deem you all the things: transphobic, racist, ableist, whatever. All because you took a moment to consider different sides of a complex topic. And why? Because they’re close-minded just like the religious zealots they hate. They. Are. One. And. The. Same.

They need to see the facts and not get their feeling and views in the way. Maybe we will be able to make this fair in the future.
"I don't even need to hear the argument." Once you hear that, you can presume two things: The argument is so obvious and potent that it has robust reasoning behind it, or the person saying they don't need to hear it is totally unwilling to hear a coherent argument that challenges their own logic because it can't hold up to objective scrutiny.
Simply put, they are weak minded and rely on Ad Hominem attacks to shut down debate. This isn't just a problem with the left as the right is just as guilty of it.

I love that he was able to say a few words in the beginning that is the crux of the convo…… “There is trans and then there is transitioning” Aka there is cross dressers, then there is dick clipping surgery and grow-a-beard pills. Natural to put on another genders clothes aka not perma, then there is the non natural transitioning that is pretty much not reversible

It's a modern religion. When idiots like Hasan breach the dogma and can no longer support it with a reasonable argument then they start talking on pure faith and fantasy. In this case he's transitioned into a peddler of shockingly absurd takes.
Hasan is a terrible representative of any topic. He doesn't have enough self awareness to know when he is contradicting himself. @ 2:16 for example, he complains about Ada and Preach not watching enough of his content to properly represent his position. He follows that up by saying he knows nothing about their content, but he still feel like he can call them out.

@@Joie_totheworld since when did you have to influence your body with biological physical hormones to become gay? lesbian and gay sexuality is something else than this. Theres no literall interference with your biological body you have to do to become gay or lesbian. The feeling of not being born the right gender is the natural part but transitioning is not natural, because nature didn't make us this way. Happily we humans have the knowledge to surpass natures limits within us so they can transition to be comfortable and feel like their true self which is good. but no transitioning is not natural. thats like calling vaccines a natural force against illness... its not its manmade and theres nothing negative about it either.
“I don’t even need to hear the argument.” Translation: “I’m so insecure with regards to my views that I will reject any and all counterpoints without even hearing them.” The fact remains clear in that no reasonable person debating in good faith would argue that taking hormone supplements or suppressors and/or undergoing extensive internal or external surgery is a “natural” function of life. It’s completely valid to say that people who are born biologically female or male (with XX/XY chromosomes and the associated anatomy) may feel gender dysphoric and that is a “natural” occurrence, but the process of transitioning is completely artificial. All that said, what is or isn’t “natural” doesn’t really mean a lot when humans as a matter of modern living do plenty of unnatural things, but he’s the one using that terminology in his original position.

High school sports is how I was able to get a scholarship and education 🤷♀️ I played with the boys until about 13 when it became painfully obvious how much better they were. Of course Hasan doesn't care about the issue. I agree . I loved playing sports growing up and started playing on gendered leagues and teams once puberty made the boys a lot stronger and larger than I am.
I have undiagnosed gender dysmorphia, I identify as male. I personally will not transition. I have chosen to marry a straight man and I am aware its part of my mental issues. However people do botch my birth name and there is trauma related to it so I prefer my chosen name I picked for the radio. ( just yesterday the plumber refused to say my birth name correctly and called me Ann the whole day.) I've seen people transition and detransition. Too many people see everything as absolutes, where you either agree with them completly or disagree completly. Right, this is a stupid argument. But you'll make it unironically as if it isn't. Also, are you familiar with the fact that language is in constant evolution? The thing you are concerned about will inevitably happen eventually.... or do you think women is just what they were always called the instant we appeared on the planet???? Seriously, your concern is about nothing. Also, ever gone to a girls sporting event? None of the people care about this activity the way you think they do... and if you want to insist they do, go to just ONE male sporting event and notice the difference in energy. Yeah.... 10 people care about women's sport, why do you think women cry about their pay in athletics ALL the time? I guess it's true, they just get held down, after all, loads of people care about women's sport....... except they don't.
Its funny how I live in Norway, and my trans co worker is frustrated and scared that these kind of people and mentality come here. She believes it would only create more divide and judgement cause of the attention and lack of nuance. Very well said imo. I really care about this girl (as she identifies as) and have no problem calling her by whatever she likes. The people forcing their agenda is no better than religion throughout the ages. just disgusting.
@@yayo0 We do have a pretty logical and respectable mentality in average imo. You do you and, as long as you are a decent person we will get along no matter what or who you are. When you try to make me do something or believe something it doesn't matter who or what you are, I'm going against you. Just be decent and its all good!
@@tieman3790 Hassan ranted about buying a house in LA to his audience. Buying a house here in southern California is practically only for the rich or old money. He also is a bad faith political streamer who doesn't give A&P the decency to respond to their video but simply dismiss it.
@@noblegalifreyan4551 wdym ranted? It got leaked and people got mad. And everyone knows he's rich. On his stream it always says how many subs he has. And i really dont care about how he dismissed a&p, he live 12 hours every day. Hes probably tired of seeing those hundreds of videos about a non issue
I just wanna give my 2 cents because I feel it will be cathartic to explain my thoughts. It deeply worries me that we have gotten to a point in society where any questioning or conversation geared towards trans is blanketed as transphobic. Like its so weird to see that you cannot question things anymore because people will call you anti whatever it is you are questioning. To me it goes against what everyone wants; to be treated as a person. If you don't allow conversations to be had on the new arising issues because they're "Transphobic" then you only create further resentment towards that movement. Hatred breeds hatred.
@@supernatural5354 What are you trying to say? The rights of someones body? Look right now you're about 13 I assume, hopefully when youre 18 youre still pro trans but a bit more intelligent and can also participate in the conversation
@@MrMiguelForster OK Boomer settled down, you're not impressing anybody. Just leave people the fuck alone. 13, 25, 50, 80 year olds know that shit. Grow the fuck up, leave people alone, mind your business, they teach that in elementary school. Unless that's when you dropped out of school. If so, i'm going to be the one to school you on that.
My biggest take aways from the "I don't really care, and you don't either" rhetoric are: 1) Clearly you do care, or why even passionately discuss it multiple times at different points publicly, in an attempt to change the minds of complete strangers? You most certainly don't sway anyone trying to tell them how they feel for arbitrary reasons that are likely strictly your own. 2) Assumption and projection are not how real conversations are had to find tangible solutions to issues that people are very clearly upset about, if not directly affected by. 3) It's ironic how in one breath, these types of people will try to tell others to get involved with what they perceive to be wrong. But then try to brush it off when it's something that they don't think is really important. Countless times I've heard, "well even though this cause doesn't directly affect you, it doesn't mean that it never can or will. If you want someone on your side when you're in trouble or being oppressed, then you need to stand up with the people who need you now." Clearly this trans people in women's sports doesn't affect most people who aren't athletes. But just like any festered cut, eventually it spreads when left un addressed. The issue with trans rights has been given so much leg room that it's gotten to a point where people are genuinely frustrated, and more than willing to tell individuals, let alone a whole group to piss off. Which sounds fucked up out of context, but when you really look back on how it got to this point, it makes sense beyond simple cut and dry, black and white bigotry. It started as, "hey trans people exist, and just want to be left alone." Which was fine, but then it evolved into, "if you don't want to date a trans person, you're a bigot!" Which not only made men say pause, but plenty of women too, both cis and queer alike. Then from there it just kept going and going until finally now, the community has started to alienate enough of their previous allies and supporters that when you call someone a "phobic-ist," people are ready to be on their Redman. "I'LL BE DAT!" The problem still being the same, but also inverted. Just like the trans community wanted to be, EVERYONE just wants to be left the fuck alone.
Y’all should read it, he’s right. It’s gone from trans rights, respect and safety to of you disagree with anything a trans person says you’re transphobic bigot
Just like feminism. They went from equal rights to " although in front of the law I have an advantage for being a woman in a civilized country, I still want more, because... *any bs available* " Bro, I pay 41% taxes of what I earn in Spain, that s more than 4000 euros every 3 months. Let me tell u what happend last month, on 8 march, the gov basically gave 20.000 millions for " equality politics ", meanwhile inflation is spreading, the gas is fkng the transports (affecting me DIRECTLY), there s also a fkng food crisis, and it started before the shid went down in Ukraine, now it s just worse. Like, mate, I work like 50 hours a week (self-employed Person) and I m supposed to agree witht that???!!! Is that how we stop domestic violence or violence in general since men are at bigger risk of getting their shid rocked? I don t know man, if the economy is in a bad shape, idk how the hell u gonna stop that. The gov isn t dumb tho, they get A LOT of votes from all those half brain misandrists and feminists that have no clue wtf is going on, plus they can rob a lot since that money is not directed to something you can touch, like a nuclear plant, hospitals, etc. Shid got outta hand terribly
"I made a promisse that I wasn't gonna engage in idiotic bad fate debates". He is saying this while vilifying a couple of dudes without even knowing who they are. This is the best example of a 21st century pseudo-intellectual, and the worst part is that thousands of people are actually taking this guy seriously.
It's fucking sad innit All the attention just creates the idea that the platform and thereby position means something, it doesn't. It doesn't mean shit. Just another hole for bad ideas and inadequate debate to go down, and it can stay there as evidence of the idiocy that was given respect in the 21st century. His positions don't stand up to real scrutiny, but his demeanour and work are attractive to enough people at this point in time. He would crash and burn at the same table as rigorous intellectuals and academics that put truth on a pedestal and leave emotionally and personality driven stuff to fall away. Imagine this guy round a table with Sam Harris, or Richard Dawkins or even these Legends on this channel, it would be murder, intellectual murder, and we'd all love it.
@@TheBlackwolf5011 he’s actually not that bad he’s spot on with most topics, although I do think he does get annoying or assumes the worst with peoples arguments and just dismiss people because idk if you know but transphobic arguments are the most dense assbackward arguments ever and then they think science backs their arguments but it doesn’t. So it’s understandable
100% like why do people care about mens sports so much? Because when they are younger the top players play since they are like 5 years old. It’s their whole life, but no Hasan is sayin that ppl shouldn’t care… like ?
@@Wozrop probably not but why does being on that side of the debate mean you are Tucker Carlson? No nuance anymore. If you side with someone you might not agree on 90% of things with. People will pull that 10% thing and say you are a supporter of said person.
Even among men sports, there are some whith weight categorys. In boxing for example, because a hevyweight fighter suddenly would say "I feel small" no one would allow him to compete against lightweights. Sports never were about how you feel, but fair competition and "may the best win". So to allow some people have an unfair advantage over another people, it doesn't matter what excuses you use for it, just knocks off the core meaning of the sports.
My sister was always the athletic one, and she ran in cross country for 2 years. The first time I ran a 5k, I beat her time by minutes. I was not athletic at all and we have the same length of leg, so she shoulda had the advantage. Womens sports needs to be protected at any cost, and I don’t care if anyone called me a transphobe, I’ll gladly be that to protect the female athletes.
I'm not trans, im just sayin that dudes always have a decent advantage over women, even trans or outtashape. As an athlete I hate these people that say "I dont care about female sports" because female and male athletes care about them.
I feel Preach's pain on this subject! It doesn't matter what we say or do, because we don't automatically agree with everything, we'll be regarded as transphobes either way. Great content gents 🙌🏾
Yep. I’ve been regarded as such for disagreeing on matters unrelated to trans issues, which I’m in favor of. It’s just this kind of person. There’s no reasoning.
