TBH that shit is sad. The guy was basically BEGGING for someone to notice and stop him. Flashing neon fucking warning signs. For their mental and physical health, throughout their entire lives.

@@kimmmimemwest1895 Not all grown people are mentally capable of normal behavior if they aren't raised right or end up with a disability. Saying that shows a lot of ignorance when it comes to mental health. Try saying that the next time someone's adult family member kills themselves. Or the next time you see a disabled person struggling. Like someone with Autism. He is still somewhat at fault of course, but there were a lot of people who saw this behavior? And probably could have done something. It's a classic lesson on being aware of people around you, having empathy and noticing the warning signs so you could possibly warn the police and stop a tragedy. I suggest going to the search bar and finding the "American school shooting PSA" because it teaches the same lesson. See something, say something. Practice empathy, protect everyone.
@austinjackson2574
@austinjackson2574 2 года назад
Also remember, that it could have gone the opposite way with this guy. Any person going through the same shit could decide to kill themselves. He chose to hurt others. And that's still fucked up and wrong of him, and if he had lived? Rightfully, he would go to prison. Absolutely. And would deserve to go to prison. But that still doesn't make him the only one at fault here.

@@ravenecho2410 I know that, technically, this is absolutely what someone should do, but I just want you to know that the system in place to deal with this stuff is absolutely fucked up. My cousin was ruthlessly bullied during high school, mainly because he could be an emotional kid. It was easy to make him upset. One day, they basically goaded him into sarcastically admitting that he wanted to blow up the school. Either one of the boys, or some concerned person who overheard without any context, went to the school and told them what happened. He was informed that, right off the bat, he was going to be ARRESTED. He was going to be sent to juvie and was facing a felony trial for being goaded into saying something by kids that used to terrorize him at school. Thankfully, they got in contact with a lawyer who helped him avoid being detained and the truth came out fairly quickly when all was said and done. He had to go to court-appointed therapy that focused on his non-existent desire to hurt people, rather than, y'know, the vicious bullying. And the bullies? They got NOTHING. Nothing at all, except some "shame on you-ing" from the judge who sorta gleaned the situation, but couldn't be proven due to being hearsay. Which is ironic, considering my cousin had to be taken to actual court over something a few people heard him say. It was an absolute nightmare for him, and I would have wished for nothing more than whoever overheard their conversation, if it was just a concerned bystander, would have talked to him and reached out a hand as you did instead of telling the school. It's a tricky situation, because it's hard to know whether or not someone could be dangerous or if talking to them is enough, but I just wanted to point out another system that treats people who could be crying for help as criminals, and I'm sure that the compassion you treated his confession with was at least a small help to changing his worldview.

It's dreamlike in how it keeps switching between animated footage of his OCs shooting up a school and live action footage of him shooting guns in preparation for the shooting. I found the chats take on Randy identifying with Ember really disheartening. The need to resonate and identify with Ember was most likely gender affirming to Randy and was the best way they saw fit to feel/look how they wanted to and escape from their own gender dysphoria when contemplating their own body. Proper therapy may have allowed Randy to step away from the Ember persona and embrace their own transition. It feels like if they grew up 10 years later they would have had more resources or people available with some sense to get Randy the help they needed. This is just a tragedy where a kid didn't get the therapy they needed and instead were handed guns. Terrible.

As a transgender woman I am saddened that Randy never got the mental support they needed at a young age. This is proof that therapy is essential for youth in America. They could have been able to talk about their gender dysphoria, get the medication and support they needed in order to be more comfortable in their skin, and maybe death wouldn't have been on their mind so much. This doesn't change the fact they killed people, but I'm angry that nobody asked them if they were okay. I'm angry at the commenters in this video who uses "he" in response to Randy instead of "she" or "they." I'm using they just because it's the safest pronoun to use if you don't know which to say. They might be a monster, but we still have our own principles to follow. I hope that we can further advocate for better health care and mental health practices so less people have to suffer and die from mental illness. Also, it should never be this easy to get a gun anywhere.

Shooting just the tank isn’t going to do anything? Like the liquid on its own isn’t going to explode?
@cats1970
@cats1970 2 года назад
Additionally, in the tank it’s liquid propane due to the pressure. Just bullet heat isn’t enough, because it doesn’t have enough oxygen around to combust initially. Like lighting a match inside a tub of oil. Best bet with shots only is to shoot for a leak, wait for enough propane to vaporize, then shoot a (metal) surface most likely to spark on impact inside the propane cloud. But you’re way more able to cause a boom if you wreck the tank, let it flow and then use traditional flames (carry a lighter).

okay, I’m gonna say one thing about them that probably a lot of people won’t like: although they may have been dealing with many mental health issues and gender dysphoria and all that, but they documented EVERYTHING. They knew exactly what they wanted to do and they had a plan. That isn’t someone who we should feel sorry for. We shouldn’t feel sorry for them because they had mental health struggles when they killed three people in cold blood for their own prophecy they wanted to fulfill. If they seriously wanted to follow through and become a ghost girl, this sounds harsh but they could’ve simply just k*led themselves, but no. They took it as an opportunity to make a statement essentially and take the lives of three innocent people, and then they k*led themselves. They took the lives of three people that did not deserve the ending that they recieved, all for his big plan. While many people do struggle with mental health and gender dysphoria, I don’t feel sorry for the people that take the fucking lives of others in the process. Stop. Feeling. Sorry. For. Mass. Murderers. And to everyone saying it’s tragic: it is tragic for the VICTIMS. it’s tragic they didn’t get the help they needed, but Randy knew EXACTLY what they were doing. The moment someone takes another person’s life is the moment you stop feeling sorry for them, because they’re brought that on themselves. They didn’t have to kill those people, they didn’t have to make a spectacle of it, but they did.

What the documentary said about them(im using they/them since they are not around to tell us their pronouns) almost seeming disappointed their parents didn't pick up on the red flags makes me wonder if some part of them didn't want to do this and wanted to be talked out of it. There was a youtuber I used to watch who was trans and she had severe gender dysphoria and depression as a kid. She mentioned in a podcast how she was having suicidal thoughts (should probably note she didn't have thoughts of killing others just herself) and she would self harm in a way that left marks because a part of her wanted her parents to notice something was wrong. But another part of her didn't so she would cover up her injuries by wearing shirts. She kinda wanted her parents to know but also kinda didn't so she just subtly hinted that something was wrong.

@@Dell-ol6hb Though thinking about it more, they also hid the second gun, and youd think thatd be another sign theyd want someone else to notice. So it could be they're trying to use the idea of being mentally unstable and begging for help as a red herring for why they truly did what they did to garner sympathy, if that makes sense. We'll never know ig 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's like he's begging to be caught out and stopped. Purely tragic, first and foremost, for the victims and their families but also for this young man turned killer. It's very sad.

Shocker he worked retail. Anyone working retail long enough is a time bomb. You can tell he kept hoping someone, something would stop him.
