Nezuko never lost her memory, she simply started talking She has been super childlike since becoming a demon and is only now “learning” to talk again like a toddler it’s odd but no she’s always had her memories, in the Mugen train movie we say her think back to everyone dying in episode 1

4:27 You are correct in remembering that demons cannot normally work in groups: Muzan is the ultimate coward and doesn't allow it out of fear of some kind of mutiny arising. Muzan made an exception for Rui's pretend-family because Rui was a small favourite of his. So whenever demons act in groups, it's because they received an order/permission to do so.

This arc is 11 chapters long in the manga. They elaborated on a ton of things in the anime which might have only been a few panels or pages in the manga. I am interested to see what Luke thinks of this season since he loves training arcs.

i do love the fact that ufotable extends and adds things without changing plot points. like the first part of this episode where they get a hint of the infinite castle. that was a good addition that was not in the manga. also pretty sure at this point the author is a fan of ufotable's demon slayer over theirs XD.

Explanation for Nezuko's survival: In s1-ep19 when tanjiro was fighting lower five(rui) we were seen tanjiro's memories. In the original demon slayer manga, there was a small panel of blue spider lily which was not animated in the anime. It basically means tanjiro's mother used to collect them and feed them to his children(after removing impurities). When Nezuko was in the sun, the chemical compounds of blue spider lily mutated her genes so that she withstood the sun. That's why she was burning for some time until all genes in all cells were mutated. So theoretically if tanjiro became a demon, he could also withstand the sun. Now for Muzan, the doctor gave him a compound which also had blue spider lily but technology and knowledge wasn't that good back then, so it contained some impurities. So Muzan did gain regeneration but could not gain sun immunity.

To answer your question about Nezuko's behaviour: In the last episode, when the Lady demon doctor said ''I kept wondering why Nezuko has yet to regain her sense of self and remains in a child-like state, I think in her mind, something else is more important'' it meant that Nezuko prioritised her growth (fighting powers, regen speed like an Upper demon, Blood Art, conquering the sun) over her ability to speak/act like a normal adult. Hence her childish/weird behaviour.

13:20 it was shown right at the last episode you've just watched, where Tamayo is questioning why Nezuko remains to be at a childlike state when she have the energy to fully transform with the intelligence of her age. It was because she is conserving energy to conquer the sun, as it seemed to imply. Nezuko is now a lesser version of her who can fight and follow up Tanjiro fighting demons in terms of her intellect. After Hashira Training Arc, there’s two arcs left in Demon Slayer that have not been seen yet - The Infinity Castle Arc - The Sunrise Countdown Arc On the last episode of this season (which is peak btw), they announced that for Infinity Castle, they were going to split it into three movies. We know nothing else, like the release date, the titles, etc. There’s also no way of knowing is they will include Sunrise Countdown or make it its own thing, or if Infinity Castle will be broken down into episodes after like the Mugen Train… we basically know nothing except that there will be three movies coming up! So… enjoy the agonizing wait with us!

14:25 it was before the demons had appeared that they tried to conceal fhe destination of this swordsmith village.. and also, as can be recalled from the final episode of the last season, the kakushi then asked Tanjiro to do the trip without any obscurity as Tanjiro faced the people who are grateful of their doings. Btw, the reason why the village was found is because of the vase that the upper demon created to which apparently, was bought by some swordsmith I think. Though, it's a speculation but it gives the idea how long Muzan was trying to find the demon slayer headquarters especially the master.

I've watched at least a dozen Demon Slayer reactors and the subtitle's misuse of an ellipsis throws off every one of them as it did most of us viewers, too. It needed a normal period so that the sentence made sense: Those who already have a mark will not have a choice but those who haven't yet, without exception, will. (as in will have a choice whether to participate or not)

This season might seem slow, but I really enjoyed the stories in it and getting to know the Hashira better. Arcs like this are important to establish relationships, give character info, and to see characters learn important lessons before shit hits the fan. And I promise you, obviously, shit will hit the fan. Enjoy the season and look forward to the finale, because the finale is the best episode of the show that's out (in my humble opinion), and it sets the stage for exactly how wild the upcoming Trilogy will be.

Just so you know the whole fandom is blessed with that Sanemi & Obanai’s scene. We were going crazy when this first episode aired because in the manga we didn’t get to see they fight in battle until later in the next arc 😂 so this anime only scene really shocked us. Regarding Nezuko's condition, people tend to forget that she is still as unstable as any other demon, except for Ms. Tamayo and Yushiro. When she loses control of her thirst, she could potentially attack humans. Demons don't age, and Tanjirou won't always be around to stop her if it happens again. It's sad when you think about it. Not to mention, she's a significant risk that both sides have to contend with at the moment, so no one within the Slayer Corps would be safe if this situation continues.

Just a heads up about this arc, (no spoilers) About 80-90% of it is anime original. Episodes 2-6 is only 6 chapters in the manga. Next episode was literally a SINGLE PAGE in the manga. It’s great to get extra content, especially since demon slayer is so short, but a good half of this extra content is unfortunately really weak for demon slayer standards I’m sure you’ll enjoy it still, but if it feels off, this is why But the last 2 episodes make up for it, you’ll see lol

Btw: The temperatures the Hashira, Tanjiro and others are talking about is a mistranslation. They dont reach 102 Degree Celsius, but 102 Fahrenheit, which is roughly 39 Degree Celsius. They dont get to be cooked alive by breathing too hard…

There were too many to individually detail, so they were shown as black forms for this. Yes, at the moment the Demon Slayers (with the exception of the Ubuyashikis) don't know about Lady Tamayo, and would not take kindly to knowledge of other demons, so Tanjiro saying her name was a mistake. There is another translation where instead of the crow saying it watched Yushiro during the day (which was actually an impossibility because he would not be going out during the day) it says it studied the effects of his invisible blood art. If you haven't done a reaction to the opening sound track, I would recommend doing so, and pay very very close attention to the lyrics. It is a conversation of the deep feelings both Muzan and Ubuyashiki feel regarding their situation. It would be good to see a reaction of the ending song as well.

FINALLY I AM EARLY! My theory based on previous seasons, Tanjiro trained with a robot doll with 6 arms which was based on the first breathing style user. he was so strong that 2 arms werent enough to mimic his movement, 6 is close enough not perfect still. But, he looked exactly like the one in Tanjiros dream. my guess, is that he helped tanjiros ancestor family when they were in demon trouble. But he didnt have any student or anything to pass on his skills as he said, and Tanjiro family insisted on helping. But training in the way of the swords when you are just a poor coal seller in the middle of the mountains would attract attention and muzan would know, making them targets. So, he passed on all the techniques of the sun breathing one after another in the form of the dance and called it "dance of the sun/fire god" or "hi no kami kagura" and passed on the Concentrated breathing technique. thats why we see in season 1 flashback that tanjiros mother said that "father is able to dance with such a frail body in dense snow because of a special breathing technique. if you master the correct way of breathing you will be able to dance forever too." this is probably why he could use the dance as fighting technique against the spider dude and later on. Also my guess, against Upper 6, the lady vs Tanjiro solo fight, tanjiro almost cut her head off, i think he was on the verge of the mark appearing. thats why he was that strong. I had other theories, kinda forgot now. Keep up the good work!

It's interesting to consider the marks as "a potential power in all humans", that's why it looks like Demon Marks, since they are "enhanced humans".

After this season they go into the Infinity Castle Arc but for some reason the studio decided to make it 3 movies instead of 1 season. No none of the movies are currently out.
