I thought I’d never join a Haslab because of the price. Just the thought of getting the cantina with this amount of detail and all the furniture and accessories and I’m throwing my wallet at Hasbro. Take all of it, I’m all in. Getting the deluxe and hoping all the tiers get funded. Good times ahead for Vintage fans.
Hasbro said that Wuher and the Tonnika sisters are exclusive to the cantina (not just the cardbacks, but the figures, themselves). They have no plans to release them at mass market, so they are an exclusive to the Haslab like the Jawa Chieftain was to the Haslab Razor Crest. Steve Evans said the other three figures from the stretch goals will get eventual wider releases in the line with alternate cardbacks IF they’re unlocked and go into production through the cantina. Back that bar!
mega jay said he heard them pronounce the words very carefully about the figures being released only with the cantina on these cards, so he interpreted that as they will be released later on different cards, it was just that they didn't say that, so we would buy this cantina
There is so much confusion on this. Apparently, most people don't understand basic English. Hasbro has clearly stated exactly what you have reiterated.
Your 3.75 Star Wars collection will feel incomplete without the place where Luke & Ben met Han & Chewie for the first time. Back it now or pay double for it later. You know you need this!
The front exterior was shot in Tunisia. The bar scenes were shot in London, then the pickup shots were shot in Los Angeles. Wuher and the Tonnikas are exclusive to the HasLab (currently). The tier unlock figures might be available outside the HasLab IF they unlock during the campaign, and would be reissued on different cardbacks.
I am not getting one since I am only collecting certain Black series figures (Mainly Jedi's and Sith's). But I think it is cool that they Include a 4th wall. Since my main collecting are MOTU, I would love for Mattel to do a fund raiser for the 3rd and 4th wall for Castle Grayskull. With them being compatible with both Origins and Vintage Grayskull. I think that would be most MOTU-fans wet dream
They’re definitely taking less chances with future HasLabs now. Tonnika sisters and a pre-Special Edition are clearly aimed at the super fans out there
The alligator wall mount and other wall mount will only come with deluxe and we will only get 5 figs if all tiers are met...which I don't think will happen unfortunately . But still a very intriguing offer and very tempting
Not a 3 3/4 collector myself so wont be picking this up but glad to see the Tonnika Sisters finally get made for those that have wanted them since ‘77!
Not a Star Wars guy myself, but this is an interesting set, and getting some long desired figures is definitly a good thing. I do think it being modular is very clever, since it also lets people split it up, and display figures on shelves. So everyone isn't just awkwardly standing there.
I'm not for HasLab stuff but when I saw Cantina, if I collected Star Wars, I would get it! I would get the deluxe if I did. It looks awesome! I have 3D printed my Transformer base which also has bar and grill in it. I love my bar and grill so much. But I'm surprised that more people haven't released STL files for different fandoms like THundercats, Star Wars, etc of bases and stuff. There is some out there. Can you imagine printing up Castle of Lions?
Just going to say this once, Scott: Just buy the deluxe version. There's parts in there that you're going to end up eventually wanting and they will be a royal pain to ever get second hand.
I get the Greedo gun holster comment but if you look at the figure and you look at the on set photos the figure is tweaked to look a lot better than the original costume. I am also assuming wed expect him to have a gun holster otherwise he is just wandering around holding that gun in the movie. I cant see a moment on screen where it shows you enough of him waist down to make that an issue. Only if we’re comparing to the behind the scenes costume which i guess we wouldn’t be. I think for that reason its better that they added one than didn’t.
I very much doubt they gave the Tonnika sister actress any money. It's been clear for some time that she was all for the figures being made. Victoria's Cantina was right. If the three stretch goals figures get made, they will be released to retail on different cards. I don't think they've said that the bartender and Tonnika sisters will be available at retail, but I wouldn't count on it. If they are, they will certainly have different cards.
i am leaning on getting it, but i don't like that it comes apart and isn't one big playset, with a floor with pegs, and han's table was a flat top table, like the tables at mcdonalds, so he could put his gun under it , it wasn't one of those round tables
The aliens if backed will be at retail with different cardbacks. Tonnikas and Wuher are exclusive with the set. This comes from Steve Evans social media accounts
I learned about the Tonnika sisters from your channel here, as I don't collect the Vintage/3.75" Star Wars line. It's really cool to see them getting made. Again, as a collector from the outside looking in here, the Cantina really needs a floor. Great for those who really want this set, but I don't see the value for the price.
Something I find very interesting is the two versions, and will this be a thing for future Haslabs? During the Transformers Omega Prime haslab, I did see a bunch of people saying they would get just the Optimus Prime if they could, and weren't interested in Ultra Magnus. And also a lot of people that wished they could get one in the repaints the original toys had. And if they do the RID Megatron/Galvatron via Haslab, he was in a black and purple color scheme as Megatron, and a White and Red one as Galvatron, and both have people that would prefer one over the other.
I do prefer the big ships myself. Coincidently, this is the first TVC Haslab I feel is a bit pricey, for the value. I gladly paid for all the previous ones. Although, probably unnecessary, I'm going to splurge for the deluxe. .... ..
@masonj4779 I'm not arguing that point and I am not buying it. This is WAY overpriced compared to the previous Haslabs. Good luck reaching all those stretch goals. You're going to need it.
Some guy that has years and years of experience in the toy industry claimed that the tonnika sisters would absolutely never ever be made……….this same guy keeps claiming he’s still in the industry yet never knows what’s currently going on😂😂😂. Can’t wait to see the nutlickers come to his defense.
Lots of Industry folks have been saying the sisters were an absolute no-go since people started asking about them as figures back in the 90s. Things obviously changed, perhaps due to the objecting actress dying.
