Hasselblad 500C/M: Don't fall into this trap. Preparation is key to taking excellent photos.

Today I fail. I plan to shoot a video about my favourite camera the Hasselblad 500C/M. It doesn't go to plan as I wasn't organised. So I park my video about the Hasselblad 500C/M and just make the most of the gorgeous light on the New Zealand West Coast.
The ‪@HasselbladAS‬ 500C/M is amazing for so many reasons but is it a good option for Landscape Photography or just suited for Portraits and Studio Work. We look at how the Hasselblad can work as a Landscape option.
This was my first outing with my new 45L ‪@peakdesignvideo‬ Bag + ‪@peakdesignvideo‬ Tech Pouch and ill review that soon too. make sure you are familiar with all gear before taking it out.
I use the amazing Kodak Ektar 100 Film. Usually I use portrait but given the fine grain and I was on a tripod I wanted to make the most of Kodak Ektars amazing qualities.

Thanks for the great photos and video. I came in because of the Instax EVO review video. But wow, it's a Hasselblad video... I'm even more happy because it's the same spot meter on the same camera as me.

Glad to see his pitch for the Minolta Spotmeter F. That with its predecessor Sportmeter M are almost certainly the best spot meters ever made. The digital Pentax spot meter has color blind issues and requires a relatively clumsy two step user transfer of settings to make a reading. The Gossen "Ultraspot" seems to have disappeared from the used market, as they seemed to lack durability to survive. The old Soligor spot meters are around, much simpler in use with no other features. Then there is the hugely over priced Sekonics, lacking decent ergonomics and convenience by comparison. While the F adds flash spot reading capacity to the features of the M, the meaningful difference between the two models is that most M units use an expensive 6 volt silver oxide battery, whereas the F (and the very last M) uses an "off the shelf" AA.

Hello When shooting on tripod, using mirror prerelease would bring you more sharpness with the 500 C/M

What I don't understand is why all these RU-vid videos showing the use of a Hasselblad 500 show the photographer constantly replacing the dark slide between shots...?? I've been shooting with Hasselblads for years, and when I'm shooting, I take out the dark slide and put it somewhere safe until I'm done with a particular sequence of shots. If the back's light seals are in good condition, there's absolutely no reason to refit the dark slide after each exposure ... And if you have only one back, since you can reload the back without removing it from the body, there's no reason to put the dark slide back in unless you want to remove the back for some reason. I've been puzzling over this through the past six or seven Hasselblad demonstration shoots I've watched. It makes no sense to me.
