I really liked your video, and I'm a huge fan of the "Hastur mythos" and it's various interpretations. I don't know how interested you are in ttrpgs but back in the day there was a supplement for the Call of Cthluhu org called Delta Green, sortof a Call of Cthluhu meets X-files type of game set in the late 90s. One of their books, called "Countdown" includes a short but sweet... Well it's Hastur so short and horrifying is more apropos but I digress; it frames Hastur as a concept the human mind uses to attempt to understand entropy, the fact that people begin worshiping entropy and expect it to be a deity which is even aware of their existence, much less to answer their prayers is what starts their slide into insanity and as they come to understand the TRUTH (Cassilda: gasps "He wears NO MASK!") They kindof embrace utter nihilism. The writers of this materiel really worked it in very subtly, in that up to this point nothing supernatural even happens, it could all be explained by mundane insanity.... Then the other shoe drops, and you realize you've been trapped in Carcosa for an indeterminate amount of time already... In fact it might be your true home.... I highly recommend checking this book out even if you don't like pen and paper RPGs because the non-game elements make it a compelling read.

@@megagundamva2694 Hastur, in this context doesn't exist, it's a result of the human psyche attempting to personify entropy, and driving itself past the brink. Entropy in a universe where lovecraftian entities and "true physics" preside is not merely the breaking down of things over time, it is a malignant cancer upon reality, so Carcosa is "real" but Hastur is madness. If that makes any sense. I guess you could say, imagining it does exist, that it is "beyond good or evil"
