Hat Point Fire Lookout--Hells Canyon National Recreation Area 

I traveled that road up to the fire lookout in 2004 and thought it was so amazing that people would spend their time just looking out for fires.

Nice video. It is a amazing place. There is no substitute for seeing this view with ones own eyes. I have tried all my life to explane too people what its like. But no one gets it until they see it for the first time.

Used to make that trip often. Too old now. I think it is about 7,000 feet down to the river.
