Today Didier Drogba retired from football. I was at this game, and it was an absolute treat to see this legend of my favourite club Chelsea perform in person. Wish you well in your next endeavour!
+Anthony Angeles Mls is a leauge composed of american and canadian teams just like the nhl,mlb and nba. and so what? our cultures are almost identical we're extremley close and friendly nations and we like to/enjoy to share many things together. pipe down. it's not like the usa and mexico which have several problems with each other and have a language barrier the us and canada are brothers and we stick together. Think of it as welsh teams in the EPL.
That's the way to start your club career as a striker and make the fans go bananas: score a perfect hat-trick. Drogba is a legend and Montreal is lucky to have him. The guy can play for pretty much team any team in the world, maybe not in the starting eleven given his age, but he can still score against any defense. Seeing him in blue is a lovely reminder of what a great footballer he has been for Chelsea.

Drogba coming to MLS should have been the equivalent of Beckham coming, the man single handedly dragged Chelsea to being the Champions of Europe in 2012. Not to mention the hustle in his pursuit and the perfection in his finishes. Teams should of been lining up with contracts.
+Trevor Hassell There were sadly alot of idiots who thought that Drogba was finished because he wasn't playing much, ignoring the fact that he was in a reduced role for his last season at Chelsea. When given a chance he can still bring it and is a tremendous leader which you can't quantify.
Ironic that Drogba scored a Hat Trick on Chicago. Bet Chicago was regretting to let him go over to Montreal. Instead they settled with TFC leftovers in Gilberto.
Its first start but not his opener. I'm a revs fan but I love seeing the talent being added to the league. I cant wait til we get our first superstar....jones is good but we need a hunter up front.
Well, at least getting Drogba is a step in the right direction.If they ever get a good core arround him, i think everything is possible.Probably not this year tho.A player like Drogba will make everyone in that team better. He is a leader and proved it all his carrer.

When i see this, 1st of all i wonder if the MLS quickly improving is true at all... of course Messi being there is good for the business, but a player like Drogba although admittedly not as bankable is also a legend, and look at that 1st control... that impact team seems good.. defenses seem weak, but that hasn't improved at all in today's MLS so... what do you guys think, is the MLS really stronger now than it was at that time?
They couldn't do a thing against him lol, boys playing against a man basically. His shots are so powerful that it rocked the keeper when he saved a shot straight at him lol, you need to be different class to save those shots week in, week out. The guy tackling on the first goal looked like he hit a wall and got knocked down, this is Drogba at 36 way past his prime.
