I was at both legs of this- most exciting 2 legged series I've ever seen. TBH, winning the second leg of this at home was more exciting than winning the Cup in 2017. And to be fair, Mtl gave as good as they got in this one, it was a war of attirition in many ways
Justin Dubois not once did I mention all of Montreal, I respect the fan base and love to see the passion, but the one guy who decided to use the laser has no faith in the impact
Louis Dube Well who won the Eastern conference buddy? You've taken more L's than we have when both of us face. So that was over and done with. We're a better team than you and we always will be whether it's a tournament or seasonal.
But, you're in the Conference Final. Y'all already beat the semi finals. Unless you count the Conference final as semis to the Cup Final, which I sort of guess. No hate, just saying y'all already beat that streak, now it's time to pile goals on top of Montreal and get to y'all deserved Final spot.
Even though Toronto came back in the game ( Bradley’s goal was rubbish by the way, foul on Cabrera ) this night was one of the best as an Impact fan. The atmosphere when Mancosu scored the second one... man.. I love this sport.
Enjoyed that more than the Western Conference Final 1st Leg, more goals and better football. Guessing the penalty box mistake was down to a metric conversion issue. 18 yard box or 16 metre box, looks like they painted a 16 yard box 1st time round. Looking forward to the second leg in Toronto. Canadians sure love their football, there was 60,000 of them crammed into that stadium.
Don't think it was a tactic. You gotta keep in mind yes soccer is played there but not often. Then remember sometimes Canadian football is played there which uses yards. Coulda been a conversion error. Their real home stadium is outside a short walk from olympic stadium. Its not crazy to think they just made a mistake.
Groucho Marxism A coach has to pump up his players before a match, but there's only a limited time you can maintain an agonistic tension. When you're already in mental play mode and the match gets delayed by a hour you lose much of that tension and get nervous.
The Big O was literally bouncing. I'm ready for BMO to just go the F*CK off. See if y'all can keep beating Canadian soccer tv records again. I know I'll be tuning in. This Toronto/MTL Conference final is up there for best I've seen from MLS playoffs.
+Infinite Loop C'est juste un esti de broyeur pas capable d'accepter la défaite avec des excuses de plotes comme toute les autres losers dans cette section de commentaires. lol
Montreal normally plays on a grass field, but it's smaller than the Big O and it's covered in ice and snow at the time of year that this match was played. Not much choice but to go with turf in a domed stadium without a retractable roof.
Another ghost performance by Giovinco, exactly like the first leg against NYCFC. Next match will not be as easy as it was the second leg at NY. Montreal don't need to score, but they will, especially if they play Drogba from the start.
All goals were defensive errors. First goal @0:43 No one covered the through ball. Two defenders covering the middle, #3 didn't sweep over to help LB that was in trouble. Second goal @1:03- RB (#33) headed the ball back into the middle and then lost track of his man. Third goal @2:25- #3 again! Jockeys attacker from half to the 18 yard box...and let him shoot a screened shot, in what looks like to be 93 Skydome Turf. They better step up next game.
Can be, but first goal was a break away, he had the angle covered. Unlucky to get nutmegged there. Last goal was screened and the turf made it a bullet to the bottom corner. Could he have saved them? Yes. Is he expected to? Last goal maybe
MONTREAL well actullay I live in seattle and we beat Colorado MLS CUP IN SEATTLE well if Montreal wins but I am a impact fan sounders will win even in Toronto Idc where it is but SOUNDERS like if your a sounders fan
