I was in Japan November 2023. During my last hour before departing back to LA, as I was making my way from Guinza to catch the train to Haneda Airport, I heard cumbia in the streets of Tokyo, followed by the smell of tacos. I cannot make this up, I ran into this man and his puesto de tacos in my last hour there! It was meant to be. Yes, the tacos were bomb, and till this day I'm shocked to have had tacos, and even more so aver hablado Español en Japon. Life is beautiful.
I went to his new brick-and-mortar shop in Harajuku the other day while I was walking around doing a bit of night shopping. You couldn't see in the windows very well because of all the smoke from the planchas, but when I open the door there were like 10-15 Mexicans and another 5-10 locals all dancing and singing around the tiny restaurant. It was absolutely surreal. They had arrachera on that night so a got a plate of those and a couple beers and ended up hanging out at the dance party for an hour. Bought a t-shirt on my way out, the food and vibes were absolutely through the roof. Yamato-san has truly created something wonderful.
In one of his previous interviews he quotes: "Le da vida a mi receta, mi receta es mi vida y mi vida es México" - Yamato I will always remember that is a beautiful Japanese experience Mexico culture and able to share such wonderful experience

Ver este tipo de videos, me hace pensar que vale la pena tener esperanzas de que vale la pena intentar convivir entre pueblos, entre personas, entre culturas. Si un Japonés aprendió de los Mexicanos que por medio de la amabilidad y de la Gastronomía Mexicana , como lo son los ¡¡Deliciosos y nutritivos TACOS !! , se puede llevar esa parte de la Cultura Mexicana a Japón y Él darla a conocer a los Japoneses, eso es..... ¡ maravilloso, chingoooon !!.
LOL "deliciosos y nutritivos" en primera maiz transgenico,aceites de baja calidad grandes cantidades de sal (sodio) y aparte carne de animales muchas veces enfermos o modificados geneticamente y todo servido por lo general en la calle donde abundan bacterias y claro acompañado de bebidas endulzadas LOL si claro "nutritivos" no por nada mexico ocupa los primeros lugares en obesidad y diabetes o enfermedades gastrointestinales
