🥰Yes Akita has a strong maternal instinct towards anything that beeps. (wild birds too)😅 They take 35 days to incubat the eggs, so it's quite a long time. We are selling the ducklings, and hope we can sell most of them to good homes🙂 The best of luck with the chickens🥰 Hugs back 😀🐤🐣🦆

@@wildandwoolly I put Mabel,my mother Jack Russell Terrier im pup,she had 6 puppies,I kept 3 but one got killed on my lane.I think Akita is sweet and would be a great mother.. Still a bit busy here and the weather was a bit cold here for the last few days but hoping for some warm sunshine again. I see that ome of your mother ducks was difficult and was sitting on hen eggs..21 days for chickens..your ducklings are so cute in the sunshine and with the wild flowers,I am not sure what breed of duck to buy here when the time comes..hopefully a native breed that eats slugs! So fabulous that you think about getting ducks. Our ducks eat a lot of snails, mosquito larvae, ++ So it is a big advantage for the vegetables to have them🌱😅 Exciting if you find some local duck species that thrive perfectly in your climate..🦆
