I have been using eggs from the local organic farm and incubating them to replace attrition in my chicken flock for years. The fun part is you never know what you're gonna get. The bad part is you never know what you're gonna get.
Who is trying to make a chick during quarantine an also I would like to ask can you use store bought eggs without an incubator and is is possible if I just put it in a box and keep it warm and it 3 am rn lol an do just want to have company by my side
Hi, I'm doing it during quarantine as I need something to do :) Also this won't go on for ever. I have the room to grow these guys on, so I'm not to concerned. I've not seen anyone hatch without either a broody hen, or incubator. You would need to keep any box or container at the right temperature, for the 21 days, which isn't easy.
@@AnnoyDad I have a box and I put a hot water bottle in it to make it warm but I make sure it's not to hot and when its sunny i put it out in the sun but not directly should I be worried or not and when I candled it on my second day today is my third day I only saw a yolk is that bad or not
ASMR QUEEN I’m going to try as well over quarantine, we used to have 2 very friendly chickens that we raised from chick but had to give them away due to moving🥺 I miss chickens so I’m going to try as well without an incubator, tell me how it goes luv💖💖💖💖💖

Hi Charlotte, you can get away with just the incubator. Just make sure that you can keep the chicks warm when they hatch, until the feathers grow. Hasn't changed our view of eating eggs. I think we eat more now we have birds, than we did before.
I got some chicks during quarantine they are adults now and we are going to the farm today and we are going to get some farm fresh eggs today to try this on.
This is absolutely amazing. I never Ever knew this. But it has completely killed eating eggs for me. I just can't do it. I feel a bit grossed out & like I'm literally eating a dead chick in there or something...I can't explain it but I can't eat them anymore after seeing these videos 😔😟
Ive seen other videos about hatching eggs from the grocerie store. I wasnt really sure that it was true till i watched this video and now im going to try it😁
Hi , I'm currently trying to do this as a bit of fun with my little boy! However not has much luck yet. Are chickens that are "organic" kept in contact with cockerals ? I know Sainsburys do a So Organic range ? Thanks x
Annoy Dad Right , I’ve just set 9 of my free range Asda eggs .. my last hatch of fertilised eggs from a poultry shop only 2 hatched out of 7. All were developing apart from one .. on dissection, it looks like they died fully formed, so I wonder if I lifted the lid and humidity and temp causing them die one also died pipping through
I’m currently looking at my chicken eggs. A couple as I turn them have what looks like something dangling. As I turn it sways. What is this in your opinion? Thanks!!!
There is a line on either side of the egg called the chalaza (might not be the correct spelling) that holds the yolk, it's should be present in different visablity in all chicken eggs
i am from india good u are making video on supermarket's egg can i make chickens from other supermarket's egg while placing them for about 4 weeks under my hen
Chickens take 21 days to hatch. It may work with eggs from Indian supermarkets. I've never been to India, so don't know how they are sold. Worth a try :)
I would expect that organic, free range would be best. I'm in the UK and all eggs birds are now free range to some extent. Its just weather the farmer has let a few boys be in with his girls.
Hi!! This video is amazing! I never thought that this could be possible!! I am soon going to try this as an interesting project/experiment and then (if i am successful) keep them as pets. I am looking to buy an incubator now. I would just like to know all of the advice u could maybe possibly give me? I have 6 ebay eggs and 5 are developing very nicely, to candle my eggs I do use a torch and most of all a phone flashlight, just make sure before touching your eggs to wash your hands, and before cancelling them lightly wash the light on your phone to prevent any germs transferring from the shell to the chick!! :)
