Hate on 9/11: Actual footage of some Palestinians celebrating the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States in 2001. This footage was shown on CNN, MSNBC and FOX News. Still today, there are voices in Palestinian society who repeatedly embrace and praise terrorism - and it's not exclusive to Palestinian communities. There are voices of extremism throughout the Middle East and the world who praise and celebrate terrorism against Western countries.

On September 11, 2001, after crossing the Atlantic, I arrived in Paris. I was with a family member who had never been to France and had planned to stay in Paris for a few days to show him the sights. Well, all night on our hotel street and surrounding streets, there was a celebration by people of a certain "community". They were so happy and shouting "Alan Snakbar". I felt as if I was in Iran. It was horrible. We got up early the next morning and left Paris. Hearing such a large crowd celebrating really changed my views on immigration. I never returned to France and never will.

As far as I knew on 9/10/01, except for the weird Iranian college students in 1979, Islam was just another religion. As an ex muslim now, looking back to my childhood when this happened when I was struck of my own conflicted feelings. I liked American cartoons and movies, at the same time, we were taught to hate US and listened to prayer of its destruction from my loving parents, to blame it for our failures as nations, as if it is the source of all evil. But when this happened, I remember watching TV standing up thinking this is not right, and felt like i was joining the satanic side for feeling that. Now I know, we arabs are taught evil since childhood and we are spreading it to the world.
