in order to be able to swim you have to eventually jump in the water KNOWING that you may drown. This is the main reason most guys are not successful because it goes against human nature of survivability. once you jump in the water you have to have the confidence and BELIEF that you are not gonna "die". once you jump in and overcome the initial fight or flight response then you can critically think on "how do I stay afloat and how do I move in a certain direction". people tend to overcomplicate success when in reality its in alot of things you do. (obviously in a spectrum of intensity) Most ppl reading this may be good at video games... Hour 1 vs Hour 1000 of that game is night and day, you most likely started the game getting beat left and right THEN you learn hmm if i do this or dont do that ill be better. Al those little mental decisions is what got you to the point of being good at the game. Technically, that is still the definition of success. For my science ppl out there the scientific method is a great example to go by. 1. Observe the (cons)problem (broke, girls, health, etc) 2. Gather info about the problem (ways to make money, dating advice, dieting, etc) 3. Make a plan of action to physically implement info gathered (plan out trying a side hustle, where/how to talk to girls, workout/diet plan, etc) 4. Test the plan (start the side hustle, go and talk to multiple girls you find attractive, go to the gym/start diet, etc) 5. Analyze pros and cons from the experience (pros/cons of week 1 of the side hustle, pros/cons of the convos with multiple girls, pros/cons of the workout/diet, etc) 6. Report conclusions (internalize the pros and focus on the cons) 7. Repeat #1 with new found cons now with confidence AND experience of the pros Think about about if you become a person that is constantly adding to strengths(pros) and at the same time eliminating or minimizing weaknesses(cons)... ask yourself where you would be in 1, 3, 5 years from now? Start as you are reading this right now and at least start #1.

What's interesting about trade jobs is that they take so much work that people don't commonly know about to get into. I work at a paint store and we see lots of smart guys who are general contractors who do well for themselves, but there's also a lot of fuckin idiots who just do the dumbest things when they're fixing up someone's house and ot costs them hundreds of dollars out of their own pocket. Trades are a great industry but u just need to do ur research if u want to make a living in these industries.
