Yes. I'm at 5 months transition. Since I've usually worn some kind of hat it's good to see this. I wear baseball caps all summer to protect skin and eyes from sun and glare. With the salt and pepper hair at 5 months, I love the idea of hats and caps.
I did all these things, ladies it won't last forever, I don't think about it anymore it has been over 16 months, I am fully transitioned . I think I compared it to having a baby you just get through it and you won't remember how painful it was and you have this lovely gray or silver hair that feels so good and is so healthy. Good tips I think it is important for everyone to have these tips. I love the hats, I was not too much into hats, I think I tried to just not look in the mirror all day after applying my makeup. If you make the decision and you are determined you might even find some humor in the way it looks when it is growing out. I know I surprised a lot of people by deciding to grow out my gray. But you know what it was something I did for me and I didn't care what anyone thought. My husband loves it and his was the only other opinion I cared about. I love that you don't forget about helping those still in the process. Hang in there ladies , be patient with yourself. As Scarlet O Hara would say , "after all tomorrow is another day." xoxo Patty
Just found you and now subscribed! Loved this video, as I'm six months into no more dye jobs. Having dark brown dyed hair, the gray and white is super obvious. What made the transition painless, I purchased clip on synthetic hair toppers. So easy! It did give an ombre effect but people loved that look on me.
I have learned to embrace my gray!!! I have had compliments on my hair color...even from my hairdresser. Don't get me wrong...i look at old pictures of me and am shocked at how brown my hair used to be, and it even makes me a little sad sometimes. But....it's okay...I am blessed to be getting older. Now, your hair is beautiful! and I love all of those hats! My husband is always wanting me to try hats but i resist. I may try one! I love your videos!!!
These tips are wonderful! I rarely wear hats but I knit and crochet them all the time. And winter is coming! I just cut off about 3 inches and it’s now at my shoulders, maybe a bit longer but definitely long enough for a ponytail. I actually wear it up all the time, except when I’m working. This video has been very encouraging! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for making this video I love it! 💚💜💙👍 I can't believe how great your hair color looks. It looks like you have had highlights or lowlights put in & it's natural!!! Bravo!🦋
You look so so young. Love your grey. I too am going grey. March 2020 was the start. September 2020 was the buzz cut. Now it’s growing out phase. Merry Christmas! Stay safe!
I don't have patience for the demarcation line!! I watched videos on getting the dye out. So I have given myself about 10 treatments in the past 4 weeks. It has worked but my hair is a funky color right now but the demarcation line is not as prominent. I used baking soda, peroxide and head and shoulders shampoo mixed together. Then I used blue shampoo to get rid of the brassiness. It's definitely a process. Thank you for sharing. I laughed with you at some of your ideas. The big flower was a definite NO, lol
I went very short & my stylist worked with me. He's a genius so that helped, LOL! Growing my hair from supershort to long was an additional challenge but accessories were my friends just as you mentioned! Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY
I've been following you for some time, you were/are a GREAT inspiration. I started watching you right after I made the decision to go natural, which is a year and 2 months now. You have really nice content, you are so real, beautiful, knowledgeable, and interesting. You have no idea how you help 💜PS. I'M LOVING THIS LIBERATION, but I still haven't cut the final remains, and it's long and curly, almost like a bayaloge. Ty💙✌ love your channel.
Julie, thank you so much. When I started filming RU-vid it was to fill a void and find joy for myself in some difficult days. It has turned into so much fun and pure enjoyment for me because of all the interaction from this community and the positive feedback. I turn on the video and get excited about the moment I am in and hope that it may do someone else some good. It is very important to me to love and live the life I have been blessed with. So thrilled that you are almost at the end journey and you will know when it will be time to give the last trim. It’s exciting! Again, appreciate your support.
It’s been five weeks since I got the black hair dye cut out of my hair super super short I went back today and had more cut out again my hair is super super short I am loving it love your videos too
I wore wide headbands to cover up my gray, and wore it up. I used clarifying shampoo to remove the color. I end up with several fade colors while doing this. My last color was 9 mos ago, and I cut it short for mothers day 2019. I'm loving my new color mix. Any ideas on short hair accents. I'm looking at what colors to use.
efhawkins19 I liked a variety of colors. Usually something with texture and a mix of color. Whatever color you wear, make it what you like to see because that is where the emphasis is.
