I just started wearing hats due to the sun. Wish I started years ago. I will check out the website you listed. I am only 5"2 with a small head and usually look silly in average size hats because they fall below my ears. I was lucky to find the brand Scala which has some hats for smaller heads if anyone wants to check it out who has the same problem..

Any hints on how to deal with "hat hair" if you need to remove your hat while you're out? I tried to wear hats this summer and had real issues with fixing my bangs especially.

Hello Dominique, OMG! If I didn't know better I would think I was looking thru the pages of Vogue! You look beautiful in all of the hats and outfits! I wear hats all the time. I moved from a large city to a rural community, people look at me a little strangely, but they provide great sun protection and make the wearer look fabulous. Dominique, I love hats. I have a plethora of hat's. I also think hat's are great for women with thinning hair. I was losing my hair a few year's ago and the doctor's had no idea why. After several blood tests and embarrassing visits to the doctor, I gave up. I started wearing my hat's "breathable material" to hide my thinning hair. They saved me. My hair did grow back but not nearly as thick as it once was... I'm so happy the European wide leg pant is back.

Love the video, and now can you do one on adapting a hat (styling it), to make it work for you? I'm looking at a travel hat for sun and rain with a 4 inch brim. What lightweight, packable options can I add to it to make it prettier? I'd like to transform the hat to be pretty instead of just functional.

I have a large head (our family jokes we have large brains) and a ton of thick, curly hair. No hats for me unless they're men's sizes or expensive custom jobs. :-P Therefore, I own two baseball caps, two twill hiking hats, and one straw cowboy hat. Maybe I can stick a pompom on something... :-)

Okay Dominique...lovin' your channel, girl. Loved this video. I think women look so classy in a well worn hat. I was wondering if you can do a video on earring and necklace accessories; the Do's and Dont's of wearing them; example, when is it too much to pile on all your Kendra Scott jewelry (I see a lot of that), what earrings/necklace with different neckline, etc. You always look so well put together and it would interesting to see your take on the subject. Love Hats! Not everyone feels comfortable wearing but I do. Don't forget certain baseball-style caps can work as a useful, casual statement. Covering up my hair issues with flair. Thank you for your expressive video.

Dominique, absolutely love your channel and have been following it for about a year. I notice many women have commented they have thinning hair. I've found Leonor Greyl makes a shampoo called Creme Moelle De Bambou which might help. It contains silica which is natural for hair and I've found it great. You might like to try it.

Which hat ? We don't have the same morphology. Tall or small people....size for the head. For the color, we don't have the same skin color and skin under tone. Do we HAVE to wear blue shoes or sandals when we wear navy? I love the color, but avoid it because of the shoe color thing. Navy + black looks not great, but navy + navy seems "matchy matchy."

I think that you would have to try on a lot of different styles to determine which brim style or crown style or depth of brim would look the best on the shape of your face maybe as well as the color. There really is a style of hat to fit every face shape. I used to wear a lot of hats (the only women among my friends to do so but did not care what they thought) but somehow lately I've gotten away from even looking at hats. Dominique has changed all that and in a big way from makeup to hair to clothes to even hats. Go for it!

Quick update in case anyone is interested, I saw a neutral fedora hat with a black band at target Saturday evening. I bought it and wore it with a cute outfit to church yesterday and a baby shower and I got compliments for everyone who saw me! They loved the fedora and it really made my outfit super cute!!!

I love hats!! And love wearing them, especially on a bad hair day, that being said, if you're having a bad hair day, what is the rule of etiquette for removing it? If you're wearing it inside a restaurant for lunch or dinner. Must it be removed? If you're wearing it for bad hair day, certainly don't want to have to remove it.

I bought two hats on sale at Nordstrom last summer before my trip to Hawaii. Both are straw, one a tan with fedora and the other a white more floppy fedora-like style. It's the first time I've worn a hat because my hair was always so frizzy and puffy in the summer I couldn't find one that fit!! Now that my hair is similar to yours, much easier!! I donated a 12" ponytail of hair to a charity who provides free wigs to children with cancer.

that poolside hat (white w/ black band) is a trilby. men's hat websites coldly state that one is worthy of scorn for making such an error. we will overlook it here, of course...just don't mark yourself as a fool by perpetuating the error. another excellently video : Justine leconte

I love the Tula hats from right there in Texas (Austin). We move to TN from FL and NO ONE here wears hats for sun protection! I end up getting lots of compliments on my sun hats.

Its almost summer again and I came back to get inspiration from your wonderful style tips. I was wondering how do you store your beautiful hats? I have recently purchased two wide brim hats and they either fall off the top of the closet shelf or when I hang them become targets for dust. One thing I really wish would catch on in the U.S. are fascinators. Most of the ones I've seen on the market are a little too campy, but I know designers can come up with some classy, understatedly chic ones.

I LOVE hats. I have quite a few of them for summer and love your style. I have just got a new felt cloche hat for winter here in Australia - something different from the usual beanies and berets and would love to see you style some different winter hats as well, just to give me some great ideas. ..lol. I tend to wear wide brimmed hats in summer here, only because of protection from the sun is really important. Thanks for another great video xx

Dominique, I would love to see some jewelry pairings and the appropriate ways and outfits to wear them. I'm a petite woman and just not good at selecting and wearing the right necklaces to be a little bolder. I feel awkward and think it looks awkward when I do wear something larger, maybe just me.
