I'm from Philly and moved to LA in '05. Definitely a must to know that Phillies hat would create a problem. Even though my spot was closest to NHP, I was in Overhills and over by Leimert Park a lot, so the P was a no-go. My ex had a cousin visit from Brooklyn and I had to let him know before we even left the airport his Yankee hat was getting packed away and don't take that shit out again until you back in NY. *LOL*
Real Rap. I'm from Carson now stay in Philly. I'm from Ckenter View Piru so I sported the Phillies Hat in the LAnd then moved to Philly it was no issue in the Hometown. Phonk Love W169P ❤⚾️🔔🅿️
@@SmittyRu169 So you know what it is... My best friend is an Original QSB, and I lived down the street from Magic's Fridays at a time when QSB and NHP was still 'Qs to the Rus'... But where I usually traveled, I was still through Six Owes a lot. Wasn't no real point in setting myself up for shit for no real reason. Plus through work, I was cool with a brother from Harlems and 100 Block. Hope you enjoying Philly. Can't go wrong with the P there!!!
Lol Unadulterated Truth that was 05 have you been to LA in 2022? A lot of these hoods ain't nobody outside!!!!!! They may show up for hood Vlogs, but normal day crickets..... And I am not talking about the hoods, that have been gentrified. Now in Liemert Park you may see a white couple walking their dog......
I’m from Houston and been a fan of the Astros since I was a kid… I usually wear my Astros cap to the airport whenever I travel…so I was shocked when I watched your Hoover video and realized if I had flown into LA wearing my hat it could have been an issue… and I wouldn’t have had any idea… that’s why your videos are important…
Maaaan no disrespectful intent meant but brother you must've been living under a rock not to know that seriously. I've been knowing that since the 80s. One of my cousins found out the hard way going out there to live with one of our relatives. I too am from Texas Beaumont to be exact but we have countless aunts and uncles and cousins that way. Well he wore a Chicago Bulls starter around Leimert Park and got chased all the way back to Beaumont 😭😭😭. Im saying we knew early on what hats not to wear .
@@malcolmwells9380 Nah he just ain’t from LA. I’m from Miami this hat shit pretty new to me with all the RU-vidrs making content on it. I’ll probably still where whatever I want when I’m out there tho. I’ll just pop out in a rental and keep that thang on me.
They don’t know if you bang or not. That’s why there’s an approach about it, if you’re in certain areas. You think a middle eastern soldier can walk around a U.S. base with a backpack on, and not get “questioned” about it? People take their team colors and logos very prideful. So when you’re walking around dressing like the enemy, knowing it or not, they NEED to see what type of shit you on. For their own safety and the safety of their homies. It’s logical to do so. What that hat mean, who are you, what are you doing around here, who do you know around here, etc.. obvious looking squares will get a pass on sight but nobody else would.
@@OnDubbz So, you're saying that I should go around with a board saying "Hey, I'm wearing a St Cardinals hat but I don't gangbang" Your question nor your explanation have no logic behind it, "You think a middle eastern soldier can walk around a U.S. base with a backpack on, and not get “questioned” about it ????? So, do you want to compare a middle eastern soldier walking around a U.S. base with a backpack on with me just wearing a "BASEBALL HAT", Bro, like are you for real?? See, that is fucked up right there, that stupid mindset, when there are more uplifting things that can build you into a better human being, these people are here shooting and stabbing someone just because of a stupid credo. God Help Us
You can wear any hat you want in LA if you know how to. Take off any hoodsta related hat in the Hoovers treys black stones or any of their hangouts and vice versa. If you know what area to take off your hats then you good but if you don’t u shouldn’t wear it at all. Same goes with belts with letters and certain clothings
I wouldn’t recommend this. Go ahead and wear a Ny hat in the neighborhoods if you want, if they don’t recognize you it’s a wrap. And you gotta watch for nighaz sliding thru the neighbors looking for neighborhoods. This goes for being in any hood or set.
I wouldn’t risk it man. Going to a crowded place like a shopping mall, Hollywood, DTLA, Santa Monica Pier, which attracts people from hoods all over LA county…you may get spotted by some people whom will have an issue with you.
Nah, you can't wear that hat or the jersey in L.A. They'll assume you're from BPS and will just shoot at you. I'm from STL too but I only wear my Cardinals stuff when I fly home to St. Louis or if I'm in a White neighborhood.
@@moedinyu7172 yeah but shit weird now. You might have niggaz in several gangs clicked up on one block or hood together. It’s all about the hood/block now mostly. It ain’t the same as the 90s no more
A lot of out of towners don’t know about it. Some hoods will press you for their opp’s hats, some hoods will press you if you wear their hood’s hat even if you ain’t living that life. Dress accordingly…
I appreciate the update dam that's crazy and confusing, So representing your state is questionable I rock that San Diego Padres Cap!!!! Because I'm from Southeast San Diego and the Padres is my team so I'll deal with these imposters if they get at me.
Im from Houston… I use to wear the old school which now the current Astros hat.. I would frequently visit my cousin in Downey as a teenage.. one time we was going to Knotts berry farm I didn’t get a haircut so threw on my Astros hat.. my aunty said “you can’t wear that” I was like wtf why lol she didn’t even tell me why.. later one we went it my cousin friend house .. I was wearing that hat.. his friend lightweight banged on me.. but i didn’t know it lol I was like 12…13 at this time haha
I’m from Seattle and luckily I moved to ATL in high school and always had my mariners hat on. (Mind u the crips and bloods rep the streets and neighborhoods out here so there’s not too many people screaming 60s). So more and more people kept asking as the school year am I crip then that’s when I realized “outside” of Seattle that’s their hat ….. long story short glad I wasn’t in LA cuz as much I loved to wear thag hat someone wouldn’t have asked shit one day!
From Frisco Northern Cali I ain’t no super thug I know I could’ve been a target 🎯 Literally just came from LA today been there since Thursday bought my Giants Hat In Downtown LA and wore it all weekend I already knew the danger ⚠️ but did it anyway 🤷🏿 I rep everywhere I go if you from my city we bleed the orange and black and red and gold for the Niner gang
@@BigDipper907 gang bangers in LA look all type of ways so it’s hard to tell a non affiliate from a gang member if you got one of them hats on they Gunn assum you a gang member before you’re a civilian
I thought Nutty Blocc wore NY hats, and Southside crips not 60s wore the Seattle Marriner hat (because of the big “S”). Basically, the only hats and logos I’ve never seen used by gangs are Buffalo Bills, Redskins, Dolphins, and 49er hats! And you can wear absolutely any ice hockey gear as only white people watch it lol
In Chicago back in the 80s we wore the Detroit tigers hat Disciples but I was blessed out the mob and by blessed I mean I was gone for an entire decade and haven't looked back this city is F up enough don't need the mob to complicate shit further ✌🏼
Ijs from an out of towner a that fuxx with LA niggaz … either know where tf you at on particular days or don’t wear a hat unless it’s an all black or all white hat.. & most def be cautious if you look the part.. certain areas you getting pressed.. my suggestion is tell them you don’t bang & keep it pushing lol
Still gotta be careful up there too. A lot of hoods party in Hollywood, plus they’re drunk. Be careful. Hollywood is probably top 3 most dangerous places in LA, because the bums are super crazy
I go to Hollywood to see a show and leave . You should find other interests besides gang banging . There is a whole world out there and you are missing out on it because you are in a gang . Try joining the marines . At least they have a retirement plan 😀
depending on the cap you wear you can get hurt or killed out there that's crazy being from Brooklyn NY myself thank God they don't use The Nets or The Mets cap lol
Yea or just the LA dodger cap(black)to be even safer.. You could potentially get pressed wearing a specific color dodger hat also...😆😆😆 In LA just rock a plain trucker hat
@@checmatetv7179 IDK About them Dodgers caps cuz they got a gang in Watts that wears all black called the Hat Gang Watts Crips 💀 Look it up 😆 Maaan LA Hoods be on some Communist North Korea type Sh!# fr
I appreciate you providing this excellent content so please don't take my next comment as disrepect. The whole "hat thing" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Do these people realize how dumb this sounds to the normal population?
I'll make sure not to wear my Naranjeros de Hermosillo (mexican baseball team) hat then, it's orange and has a big H on the front... It couldn't look more Hoover if it tried lmao
No the Avalon gangsters do not wear the Atlanta Braves. They wear the Oakland A’s hat. The Atlanta Braves has nothing to do with anything out here. I’m not from Atlanta. I’m from New York but I like the Atlanta Braves often because Offset did a Collab with them and I also have a spot down in Atlanta that I live in as well.
Sport you favorite football team, or college team hats. to be safe stay away from baseball hats unless it a blue, black or white LA hat. A red or another color LA hat can get you pressed unless you're a girl.
We (the bounty hunnas) wear the St Louis hat too, for the shaw Lott, the Boston red Sox hat, the Chicago black Hawk hat, the black Hawk and the st Louis hat is our hood hats
Hmmm not bad but in reality every dam cap 🧢 is taking if not by a black gang for sure a Hispanic gang would have it, with that being said I’m blessed to wear different hats around the slums of LA… With that being said I don’t stay in one spot for too long lol you know how the streets be
Saddest thing about this is black people killing each other over bullshit and other black people passing through going about their business getting caught up in this bullshit.
