Klassical Dream is a classic example of an exuberant hurdler that’s tamed and settled by going over a fence. I couldn’t get away with how slick his jumping was, albeit under no pressure
I know he has won over 3 miles but I think they were forcing it abit over that trip, he’s very exuberant and has a lot pace. Could be fully effective at 2m4f over fences, especially at Cheltenham where he hasn’t ever seen out 3 miles.
@@johnnyboy6608 yeh Johnny, it’s a really tricky one. But like I’ve said, I think the fences have helped in slowing him down sufficiently enough to get further now. It thought he was mustard the other day, really excited about him
Strange how he sent him out without Harry on him.. u think it was owners choice... don't think Nicholls wud get it that wrong... Jacob not the man for the job on BMG ... needs a break till after Xmas.. Christmas could ruin him properly
Backed corach rambler, jazzy mattie, the real whacker, sire de berlais, stay away fay, stage star and galloping du champs at last years festival....I'll be sticking with these this year n next .roll on March.good luck, all .safe betting!!!
Ive been a big fan of GDC had a big price on last years GC. Both BMG and GDC at this stage do not look as good as last year.Ratings are backing this up. PN seems to have backtracked on how he trains BMG now saying it wont hurt him to have a few races and WM was openly disappointed with GDC.Even though GC has a point where he may get outpaced he showed a good turn of foot and a tough attitude to get up at DR.I backed GC 12/1 ew, and I am happy with that, to my mind looks at least a top 3 place in GC.
Gerri doesn’t win the king george, Bmg will win it, Galopin will win the next day and it will be galopin 1 2 Gerri and 3 Bmg in the gold cup! Love the content lads 😅
Quick note on Daryl Jacob’s ride on BMG as per your comments lads. Paul’s feedback from Daryl was that four out he felt super comfortable and confident that he would win and had plenty of horse under him. But when he gave him a squeeze and then a tap there was zero response. There are absolutely zero excuses for BMG. The ground was ideal and he had a run under his belt unlike Royale Pagaille
I think they have ruined GDC by trying to settle him so much to stay in the gold cup should be ridden from the front over 2 1/2 like he was before let the horse run in there natural way don’t try to alter them
@@aidansavage8561 he now races behind the bridle they have settled him so much he doesn’t have the acceleration to race like that when he was a novice used to run everything off there feet it will shorten his career as they are making him race in a way in which he doesn’t want
Horses like humans get fed up of the same routine day in day out. I would switch Shishkin to a new stable, there would be no shame for Nicky Henderson. New environment and new handlers could reignite his flame. If it didn't then retire him.
For me ...gallopin wins gc Bravemansgame will do well to win kg ..can't trust gerry collombe but my pocket might be talking cos let me down last year for a short price acca ...chill ,honeysuckle ,galliard, energermine, delta work,Lossiemouth and gallopin . Gerry let me down so pocket probably is talking.....good show guys.
Another thing about the Gold Cup is could it be a scenario similar to last years stayers hurdle? Home By The Lee came out and beat the big guns twice and was unlucky with a few mistakes but still came 5th on the day. Gerri Colombe could be compared to Teahupoo while if there is ever going to be a huge outsider it could be this year something could come from totally left field like Sire Du Berlais did last year. Or will it be like the champion chase where Galopin wins again like energumene and the underdogs, Edwardstone and Editeur du Gite last year, give a no show.
Great show lads, The gold cup has definitely left its mark on BMG and GDC whose performance in march was one for the ages, anyone questioning the form mustn’t have been watching the same race as me, BMG sacrificed the King George for Saturday and I think Cobden’s greatness was noted in his absence, saying that I think Charlie Deutsch would have won on both horses, Jacob pucked him at the first couple, never got BMG into a rhythm and got of rush of blood taking no account of the long run in at haydock, he didn’t gel with the horse who is all class not a slogger, Can’t see Gaelic warrior winning in Cheltenham as he doesn’t want to go left handed and I think his jumping might come under pressure there. Gerri is a lovely chaser but short a gear and I think the whacker beat him fair and square last March and although I personally think he would be all out to win a gold cup he obviously has a chance
All I will say about Galopin Des Champs is look what Willie did with energumene this year. I was as anti-energumene as you could get in champion chase this year couldn’t see him winning in any universe and then we went and won in a stroll. Willie knows how to get them right for the big days.
I’m completely with Andrew! Jumping the first two I thought Jacob looked to be nibbling him to bridle. He needs a gentle gentle ride and he didn’t get it. I would love him to drift and get 5/1 for Kempton.
It was the first run for Apple….over fences…wasn’t her trip….excuses as normal that she ran the legs off the others at aintree…if any horse gets beat..,Cheltenham factor and excuses…
Why are most people writing good horses from last season off after one run? Mullins clearly is in pretty awfully bad form with 1/8 +1/5 shots getting beat. Haven't looking at the stats but im pretty sure good graded horses have lost on their first run of the season before? Any thoughts
Think you’re spot on Tom, nothing wrong with being beaten first time out, it’s all a bout how you’re beaten. GDC didn’t look bad at all going down to Fastorslow, whereas BMG has looked as flat as a pancake in the finish, both runs
@TheGoodDoctor_ yh bmg looks to have not come out of the gold Cup well. Might be cuz he didn't really stay the trip at Cheltenham and pushing him Might of broke him. Jonny dineen said the same thing on upping the ante this week. Nonstayers in the gc sometimes don't do well the next season
This is a vintage year, the last two weekends were a joy to watch. Don't be entrenched in your opinions, they should be flexible and go with the flow. Gerri Colombe finds ways to win, they keep saying he has no tactical speed, but was switched at DP, two lengths down and still got up to win.He always finds a way.
Klassical should go turners. Gaelic warrior will not go turners. As Sharjah will go there as rich ricci will have mister policeman in arkle. Sharjah turner. Gaelic warrior brown advisory
@@tomhurcombe2185 Mullins motto. All roads lead to Cheltenham. Unless you’re not good enough. Sharjah is the horse who’s got closest to constitution hill Ino that’s hurdles but chasing he’s been very good. Think he would win or atleast place in the turners. Weak race
@garrymelia462 far from regressive? he went from a peak of 164 down to 152. Even got beat by fils doudaries getting 2lb. Beat captain conby last time who got beat even further by Knappers Hill the time after. Gonna be 11 in march hasn't a hope in the turner's even if he wins on Sunday.
