Newsflash! HATUN IS SAFE!
Dr. Jay Smith received a personal email on December 24th from Hatun Tash saying that she was fine and doesn't want us to worry about her.
She asked him to take down the earlier video he had uploaded on his Pfanderfilms site asking people to contact the police, which he has subsequently done.
So, why should we trust this e-mail, and not the previous ones?
A week earlier Jay had e-mailed Hatun on the DCCI e-mail site asking her to write him something that only she and he knew, which she did, including not just one item but three areas which only the two of them could have known.
This proves to us that this e-mail did not come from someone who had hacked the DCCI e-mails, nor from the police.
Some will say that it could have been written 'under duress' (i.e. if she was kidnapped). The language she used, however, proved to us that it was not under duress.
Then, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, Dr David Wood wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account the following:
"For everyone who's worried about Hatun Tash, I just talked to her on the phone. She's not dead or injured, but she doesn't want me sharing any details about what's going on for now. So, please respect her wishes until she posts something."
That should give us good confidence that Hatun is indeed safe, but does not wish to tell us what has been happening over the last month.
What's more, we now believe we know what is going on, but we are not at liberty to say publicly. Hatun herself will have to do that when it is appropriate to do so.
This is what we've been waiting for. PTL!!
So, feel free to pass on the good news to everyone you know who has been concerned about her.
She really wants us to stop worrying about her, but she cannot tell us why, at least not yet. When she is able, she will then let us know."
Nonetheless, DCCI, Christian Concern and the M2M Network all urge you to continue to keep our sister in prayer, and join us in the fight against Islam by sharing the Gospel with Muslims, as she has so often modeled for us herself.
Please remember the command of our Lord & Savior: "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."
Meanwhile have a great 2024!
