Long time ago I stopped at Winnie Winkles Truck stop in Okeechobee Florida to take a shower. The shower was in the truck garage, I stood on a wooden pallet and showered in sulfer water along with a toad...ah another fond road memory. Ta ta for now....
In a big truck, it always looks like you're actually traveling faster than you are. It's something to get used to. I bring my wife along on trips sometimes and she always says that "it feels like I'm speeding " or " How do you do this " or she always gets nervous when I do tight turns. She always tells me she hates the feeling she gets in the truck because to her it looks like we won't fit but at the same time she feels safe. It's entertaining when I bring her with me to work LOL
It really does look like you’re going allot faster than you are in these big things. I don’t drive fast very often but it sure looks like I’m always driving fast.

Any time I haul ice cream and have to run the refer. −10 or −20 I put corks in the 4 drain holes in the trailer. It helps cool down faster. And I always ran the reefer on . If you don't have corks, you can use some paper towels they work as well.

I did a 6 drop Ice Cream Load that went from Indiana to Illinois back to Indiana and back to Illinois in over 100 degrees temps but I kept her Frozen Solid and made all of the deliveries without a problem. I know what you're saying about the Ice Cream Loads. If your temp gets out of range, You're going to lose your load and have a hell of a cleanup on your hands.

Gotta wake them up to go to work lol You just flip a switch in this truck, let go of your gas pedal and Jake brake kicks on. My truck has 3 different settings for Jake brake.

Texas has a crap load of over passes and if you get stuck with some snow man. Just pull off the road and watch the cars spin out cause freezing over passes. I was barely going 40 mph on the Houston interstate and those people trying to do 70 mph. Saw highway patrol get slammed into on a corner crazy 4 wheel lost control spin out and bam...cop down, no more reveanue collecting....lol. I got to my reciever and dropped off then went to truck stop to let the day warm up before getting out of the city to pickup north of Houston. Seen many crashes. I was down in Texas sometimes last year when they had ice storm and it was really bad. Car spun out in front of me just north of McKinney and hit the truck that was in front of me but luckily I was able to squeeze between them right there on the bridge and didn’t hit either one of them. It could’ve been very bad. Luckily, I was driving way below speed limit. Barely made it to my destination. Once I got down to Dallas area, everything was covered with ice the entire time I was driving I was so scared I couldn’t feel my legs buddy lol I can’t wait to see second debate. Wasn't the debate a great debate. This debate had several things done different. They had two breaks. I don't believe I have ever saw that done in a previous debate. The Joplin scale I always go around that one. And the scale on the Oklahoma and Texas state line on US 69 I go around that one also. @OTRBandit when we haul ice cream we use Styrofoam plugs to keep the temperature 🥶..........we put them in the trailer draining hole up front and rear trailer
