I spent the first 10 years of my life in Nice. Revisiting the area 40 years later at the pace of the Ami is just wonderful, I can't get enough! I hope Elton doesn't have a transmission problem!
As Elton's transmission is supposed to be little more than a large rubber band good for 70,000km, and Elton should still have free healthcare, perhaps it's nothing a push to a main road and the Towman of Alcatraz can't remedy?
Thank you for playing Pandemonium. It reminds me of earlier episodes when you treated us hoi polloi to scenery and villages. Yes, experiencing a vent de charite would be intesting.
We’re on the edge of our seats waiting to see if Elton’s popped his cogs. Bring on part 2! Also, yes, we’d love to hear about jumble sales and more of French rural life!
I could sense this wasn't going to be an all-in-one video. I expected another part (grrrr). But oh no! Has Elton developed the vapors from too little oxygen? Now we will sit here in suspense with just one question: Will Part 2 be mid-week or next Sunday? And yes, go to those outdoor sales. Cheers!
Thanks again for the delightful journey and all the laughs and smiles. A day in the sun, a lovely drive, a gratifying meal and friendly, dynamic conversation is something now of a rarity for most of us today, and maybe why 30mins seems almost too short. The Pandemonium interlude was good as well, but I never tire of 'La Belle Époque' for a boost in tempo.
Everything you two do on this channel is broadcast quality. Well edited, entertaining, interesting and enlightening. Keep it up and can't wait for the conclusion!
He's right about holding the wheel though. Thumbs on top of the rim, so that if a front wheel gets hit the steering wheel doesn't spin and break at least one thumb - to old 'starting handle kickback" injury.
Agree with Bert in keeping thumbs on the wheel not around it…ref in a collision apparently wrapped thumbs can be broken off…I learnt that years ago now…
I agree with your truck driving commenter. As a bus driver for 37 years, now happily retired, we were taught to keep all fingers, including thumbs, on the outside of the steering wheel. It was to keep from breaking them if the wheel was jerked hard suddenly.
Really good watch as always, love the banter between you two 😁 thanks for taking us through these beautiful places and a dose of sunshine and sharp blue sky. Hope Elton is OK!
We've travelled from Manchester to watch Eastendless in Hull. Fabulous. Sorry to have missed you Tim due to the ongoing rail strikes. Chatted to Mike and talked about our impending Ami delivery. He's invited us down to the Riviera sometime; we'll treat you all to a coffee!! 😎
Bonjour. Another former lorry driver here. We never wrap our thumbs around the wheel. Especially in our own vehicles driving off road. Lesson learned by rally drivers. Steer tires can turn steering wheel and the center of the wheel can strike or even break thumbs. Be safe out there. 💙🤍❤️
At about minute 20 you drove past me (I guessed it was you) and I saw that you stopped. You should definitely visit haut de cagnes on foot. It's lovely. I live just below
Crikey 😳 what's going on..????? What has happened 😳????? Poor Elton. Got to wait now for the follow up🤔 your channel is superb wjat with the beautiful scenery...the excellent quips .& Mister Boo with his facial expressions caps it all for me...at times it reminds me of the 'carry on' films 🎥..keep up the great work & hope the Ami hasn't suffered anything costly.
Loved the observation of the dog - followed by the sound of the dog yelping and swift disruption of the restaurant table. Reminded me of the joke Jasper Carrot had about his granny’s driving “She has an unblemished record. Never had an accident….. seen thousands”.
Thank you for another wonderfully entertaining & of course picturesque edition. I never tire of the scenery & views. Poor Elton he didn't sound too healthy at the end ..... 🤞he'll be OK 🚙
Oh dear. I had the same noise on an Opel e-rocks, the identical Quad, only in red. They changed the car under warranty. I hope yours fears well. Otherwise another brilliant video as well as one of the best songs ever playing. You used it before and it was quite difficult to get hold of it. Lovely singer. Hard to wait another week for the conclusion. All the best from Cataluña, down the road.
Another fantastic video. It would be brilliant if you could occasionally put a still of a map in so we can easily see where the places you visit are. Here in the Netherlands the Ami is not available till next year and it's called the Opel Rocks-e.
Really would like to see some flea markets in this region. But I guess you better do that in your new van-life channel "moi et ma camionnette". Imagine if someone throws out 8 Louis XV chairs for 90 euro. Not sure if that would fit on your roof. Having lived on the border with France for nearly 20 years, there is almost no need to go to a normal shop for decoration if you visit the local Vide de Greniers.
Wonderful video! The villages were beautiful! I was happy to learn about how to hold a steering wheel. None of u was to lose our thumbs! Love from Vermont
Cliffhanger? That's not a cliffhanger! 😁 I thought the video would end with Elton perched teetering on the edge of a mountain road, several tons of gold bullion in the back, and the line, "Hey, Mr Boo? I've got a good idea. Er..."
The hauntingly beautiful Pandemonium first heard on your great channel is proving to be very difficult to track down to buy or stream, good to hear it again.Hope Elton is ok,it’s such a nice vehicle 🚗👍
Another fantastic trip out lads ( superb editing ) thoroughly enjoyed the narrow picturesque streets. When we holidayed in France in the 80s + 90s we were looked after wherever we went because of my surname ( nobody seemed to notice the ' I ' and 'y ' difference so I never let on, I would tell them Johnny was my cousin. Regards from Baildon Yorkshire.
I noticed the handling of your equipment off camera 😁 (Lol) Has Elton got some kind of torque slipping device I wonder? I look forward to finding out on the next funpacked, exciting episode of! #MaMA ❤
Oh no hope it’s not poor traction if it is image what it would be like in the wet. Great to have a tour of the Knick knacks maybe pick up something for the boys in flat 5.
Black Forest Cherry cake is definitely worth dying for. Your videos are too! Oh no! Elton! What's wrong! Somebody help! I'm guessing those streets are a little too steep for Elton and something in the drivetrain gave way.
Another nail-biting episode! Have you taken Elton to visit the Fondation Maeght yet? Not too far from Haut de Cagnes, I'm sure you would enjoy all their Miro sculptures...
Well that was a bit of a cliffhanger - or, at least, a rather steep hill! Hope Elton recovered from that frog in his throat! It sounded expensive. In other observations, I think Tommy Steel was in most things back then. He certainly seemed to have the energy to make 3 films before lunch! And don't we all miss the golden age of Aussie soaps. Things were different then.
Come on now, another cliffhanger???!!! Oh my, now we are sitting here and waiting for the next episode(s) with nothing to do, wondering what the f... happened to Elton! He might need a Band-Aid?! Don't let us wait too long!
Elton is the perfect micro car for these narrow streets. how about Mr. Boo doing some driving too, he needs to practice his skills :) holly molly, so funny you guys wondering when the dog pull the table : did I break something lol
Sounds like the drive belt that Citroen says is good for 100,000km ....... isn't if you are doing a lot of hill work. Have also heard that the differential can go early on these. I hope it is nothing serious as was just about to put an order in for one based on your adventures when this happened.
I'm guessing Elton hasn't got Car Covid. Hope the show goes on soon!. That will teach you to give the Ami a review episode too soon. Seriously hope we are back on the road and all ok.
Right before watching this I saw two videos of testing the new Apple Watch Ultra, one of hiking in Scotland and one of testing the crash detection. Are we testing the heart rhythm monitor in this one? 😂
The glass roof section of the Ami...is it as such because the driving position is recessed so far back at times you have to look through it to see traffic lights, the road ahead etc, or not?
Oh god. What’s happened to Elton? 😮. Pandemonium is now my favourite song. Love the music you play. Is there a playlist of your favourite songs? Please let me know so I can play them when I get my Mon Ami. X
@@MeandMonAmi Hi Lads, yea its cooling down here in Switzerland too, been a strange Summer here. Have enjoyed your videos and excursions, and look forward to your upcoming productions. Best wishes Bill Weir the Alpine Geordie
Woul you consider using that new gear changer, invented by a French individual for the AMI, which allows you to select (access) your PRND directly from the steering wheel, or near it, instead of reaching down to the floor? I saw a RU-vid video about it.
