Danny, you have no idea how much I enjoy your videos. I live outside the UK but come from Bradford. The one thing I miss the most from living abroad is the people at home. You bring that to me every time I watch a new video. Seems a bit silly but you provide a spiritual service as much as anything else. Thank you.
This is my favourite place to eat, iconic Bradford establishment. Great food, authentic and amazing value. They could have sold out and overcharged years ago but they stay true to their roots. Small but expertly done food. Legends 💕
If that’s the best pizza you’ve ever had then I feel sorry for your standards 💀 They use electric ovens so it’s not even authentic pizza I strongly recommend you find a good wood fire pizzeria it will change your perspective on pizza You can still enjoy conventional pizza but you can’t beat a traditional woodfired pizza you just can’t like you really can’t it’s night and day
Being moved from their original place, which was where Frankie's is now was a move that upset the family. The old spot was a prime location with lots of footfall which was great for the business. They were meant to have a place in the new Broadway shopping centre, but it fell through for some reason. My mates and I would ALWAYS eat here after ice skating, it was 1 pound for a slice of pizza and some chips...WONDERFUL TIMES. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT MEMORIES PIZZA PIECES.
Best pizza shop I have been to, Ham & Mushroom is my favourite. It's been around ages my nan used to take me when I was little but it had moved. When I found it again it was a dream come true 😂

That place is going on my list, I was worried at first it was going to be one of the many faux italian takeaways but looks fantastic, so simple and great value. Bravo Bradford!
They use electric ovens 💀 that tells you everything 😂 and the pizza looks average lol If a pizzeria isn’t using wood fired ovens then it’s not good pizza PERIOD That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this type of conventional pizza but if we called every pizzeria like this good then we’re being disrespectful to actual authentic pizzeria’s
@@philipstevenson2897 yes it should you are meant to hold each end of the crust and squeeze it together - if it sits rigid and flat it's not a good base
How countries differ! Garlic bread (cheesy and/or with bacon on top) in Belgium is always one of two things: sliced baguet style or the more typical Italian bruscetta style dough base. Love your videos, great sense of humor too! 😂
This was torture watching this! I've been wanting a really good slice of pizza and it's late at night! I'm salivating and I have to go to bed hungry for pizza. Excellent take away video Danny.
You know Danny. it's great to see a genuine eater of food where you really get tucked in with proper mouth fulls and explain in detail the true taste of what you are eating. This is what brings me back for more of your adventure's in food tasting. ( Mouth watering! ) So different from the rest.. Fantastic!
The young lady (Natalina) who served Danny is the daughter of the owners Tony and Margherita( I’m not even joking about her mother’s name , very apt for someone who owns a pizzeria). I love this family owned gem I’ve been going here since I was young.

@@dpcater it’s just a username. I’m a petrolhead who used to own a classic VW Golf at the time I chose the username. BTW how many people do you know who’s real name is golfman? I guess there’s nothing strange as folk 😂.
Bargain food as well, I use to go back in 1998 when at college for pizza and it was good then, tbh I’d forgotten all about the place so thanks for reminding me… I need to call back in again as you’ve made me hungry for it 😂

I certainly remember those days! I had my first lunch at Pizza Pieces on my first day of my first job in Bradford City Centre. The old place has memories which can’t be beaten for many folk…
Tony and the family are lovely! I've been going there for around thirty years. We would head to Pizza Pieces after school, when it was opposite the old T&A building. The food is delicious, deffo worth a try.,
As a regular here and a bradford lifer i have to say every ohh and ahh danny makes is from the heart. This place is a gem amd wont break the bank. We love this place. And the lady behind the counter is so welcoming and lovely. Absaloute gem this place.
They have been in Bradford decades. I remember going when they were in a building they demolished for the Broadway Centre, that must be almost 35 years ago.
Gary I’ve been here today - shout out to the woman who served you who today gave several Disabled children some ice cream for free - it was proper lovely how she treated them
This place has to be 1 of the finest true Italian pizza experiences in Yorkshire. I've been visiting this place for the past 30 years ever, since it opened. My aunt would take always take us after we'd return from visiting her husband in Leeds, Armley Prison. I can't be asked explaining it now so let's just say times were different back 😂 #GoodTimes #MemoryLane #Throwback
The guy is right, this is the best pizza in the UK. I’ve been going here for 30 years and it is consistently good, always the same, the recipes are unchanged and they don’t need to - you can’t improve on perfection. My only slight gripe is they no longer do lasagne (either meat or veggie), and that was wonderful. Keep up the good work Pizza Pieces!
Worst pizza = Papa John's - tasteless pizza, bloody expensive, and leaves you feeling like shit afterwards. Not to mention the toilet time in the morning!
Asked u to try here ages ago Danny glad u did top bloke❤ that pizza is simple and amazing 👏 👌 the chips are mint aswell.. if there is a better pizza in the uk I need 2 try it because this place can't be beaten ❤❤❤ BRADFORD❤
Love this place, go there every so often. Based in a beautiful building too, they have a wicked bookshop upstairs. And that guy at the end saying he’s from Shipley, like it’s in another city 🤣 Shipley is apart of Bradford, get over yourself
Unless the pizzeria is using electric ovens then yes you can 😂 this pizzeria is slacking You can’t beat authentic woodfired baked pizza that’s what you should be saying
@@oo0024 😂 behave it’s the best pizza review I’ve seen Danny do so far so I’m sticking with that. Me personally, my fave pizza is made by the Italian grandma on yt😉
I first encountered Pizza Pieces over 20 years ago at the original site behind the council building and in front of the T&A building! Tony & co have maintained consistency in serving the best pizza I have ever eaten… Although I don’t like locally anymore, whenever I come to Bradford it’s the one place I want to eat!
I used to religionsely come down here many many years ago with my mate, always good times we are talking around 2016 2018 time. I really miss it, i need to go back again!
I'll definitely have to pop in from work. A Casa di Alessia in Otley is worth a look and they work with the bar across the square so great pizza with great beer..
Best UK pizza eh? That's high praise from a man who's done a US food review tour. This HAS to be tried. And I do like Bradford, had some fun there as a youngster. Nice one Danny! 🌟👍
Great vid, however Eusebius's in Glasgow serves a proper pinsa pizza you need to try that as everything comes from Italy and pasta is made on the premises. Keep up the good work
We the viewers have told him time and time again about his repeated episodes regarding the water. He's the only person I know who has to say 'av you got me water' in almost every video. He could just get it himself or get it as he leads the place but he enjoys the drama of it all I'm sure
@@laurarules3642 He did buy a reusable water bottle and said he was going to save the planet by taking his own water with him everytime. Lasted about 2 or 3 episodes. Presumably the bottle is in landfill now.
Danny lad, love the videos. Get yourself over to Naples and Rome for the real deal! For now, try Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza in Leeds or Manchester and Da Michele in Manchester for Neapolitan style. Look out for pinsa romana, the very thin and crispy Roman style pizza and see what you think!
Been going to this place for years also, wouldnt say its the best pizza in the UK, not even close to that. but its above average compared to the takeaway pizza you get in bradford. Nice little place to visit and you get decent value for your money.
Hey danny have you looked into 50s grill in Keighley. They have been around for over 12 years and definitely the best for gourmet burgers and food like that. Think of Man vs Food they have those tower burgers etc, although they don't mention burritos in their menus they do still do them. They even have a special chicken grilled burger named after me.. its spicier than normal but if you say can i have Rukuns they will know straightaway ha ha ha. The place has fantastic atmosphere and plenty of space outside for you to put your table out. They can get busy very very quickly and in the past i use to remember the owners pulling the telephone line out due to how busy they use to get.
12.15 for all that grub??? Food looked great. You basically got half a pizza between the pepperoni and garlic slices. The bowl of pasta and dessert and a bottle of water. Absolute bargain!!!
