This is such a great example of a company trying to create a problem that simply doesn't exist, I have a regular wallet and I have never had any issue with it
BeyondThaDeepWoods I don't even have a wallet anymore. I have an app for all my membership cards and my debit, credit and licence go in the sleeve on my phone case along with a couple of business cards. Cash goes behind my phone. Change In my pocket.
AnnDaEditor who the fuck buys a wallet for that price? my wallet was $10 and it's a nice leather one that flips and stuff, but honestly, your mom has to be pretty stupid to buy a €200 wallet.
Good video, guys! I fabricated a few wallets kind of like those, but now all I use is a small envelope I made out of tyvek(waterproof , tearproof paper) and it works awesome!!!
+Najee Grey It's a sponser and almost all of his channel is based around it. He doesn't care if you buy it he just gets money from just saying it in his video. Locally I wouldn't recommend this wallet because of its safty and ability to store coins
Uriah Siner Hmmm, I took a financial class that taught that when you don't use actual cash then it's hard to "feel the money", as in when it's all just digital in the form of cards then it's easier to spend. Like the difference between swiping a card and actually flipping through a few 20's kinda feels different and may make you think twice about spending that wad, at least unnecessarily. And maybe these wallets, despite being able to hold cash... I think they're maybe still more geared towards just having a bunch of debit/credit cards... So maybe that's what he means??? Idk maybe I'm just up too late on a worknight. :-/
For evwryone saying "What about change" and "But it still cant carry change" one thing he forgot to show in the unboxing is it can hold change. If you click on the link to the website theres a tutorial video showing the little black thing that swings out is actually an opener to the inside of the wallet that can hold change.
Finkkari they actually can hold coins. dont think the one he got was the coins version. if you look at their kickstarter site there will be ones with special coin dispensers
Chums makes a water resistant, double zippered wallet just slightly bigger than a credit card. Cards are easy to remove with a quick zip, cash as well from the bottom zippered side. The one side has a window for your ID. It's $9.99 and there are multiple colors.
I was skeptical when I bought a Travami Leather minimalist slim wallet (dunno if YT will let me link it below), for winter coins go in my coat pocket so that's not a problem, but overall I LOVE that it's so tiny. My old wallet was bulky enough that it wasn't comfortable to carry around, I'd leave it in the car or somewhere during work which just isn't convenient. I hold a few cards (credit and debit, license and health insurance I think is all) and just keep a little cubby with other useful cards by the door to grab if I know I'll need them, never needed to put more cash in the wallet, it holds PLENTY and will actually hold coins pretty securely if I wanted to shove some in it too. Everyone saying these things will never replace a traditional wallet hasn't tried them. Only issue I've had with mine is it's so slim I'll forget it's in my pocket and have to go back to yesterday's pants before leaving the house, haha. I'd dislike having a metal one, though, because I throw it in the same pocket as my phone so... no thanks! www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01MPWL9KP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just received mine in yesterday and honestly I dont think it is worth the $60. It does look nice but it sure does feel cheap made. I have other wallets like this that are smaller and feel better made with better materials.
I received fantom wallet yesterday. I like it but I also bought a dango m1 maverick wallet. They are expensive but have excellent reviews. I'm giving my fantom wallet away
will never be the future wallet infact it wont even hold a coin like the others were saying keeping your money outside of your wallet is an idiot move Leather wallets are more secured even though its just a leather
How is it more secure..? With the cash clipped, it is held tighter than mere friction from the leather. Regardless, once its out of your pocket, there's really no difference in how "secure" the cash is. Also, its not a wallet, it's a money clip. Its not meant to hold coins.... And how many people really keep coins anyway? I discard them into my trucks center consul immediately.
coins should be removed sooner or later. it's extremely inefficient to store bunch of them and actually ruins your leather wallets on long run though I still feeling awkward with the modern looks because mostly it's just card holder, I feel insecure storing my cash on it
My problem w/ front pockets that one pocket is for phone and other pocket is for keys. But now that I see you can still put the wallet in your pocket and suspend it above your keys with the clip.
Dude how do you not have an executive membership to COSTCO yet?? The 2% cash back along with 43 services that you can actually use pays for itself. My man, it's time to upgrade!!
I own the Kore Essentials slim wallet and money clip, and it's great. I was able to get the same amount of cards and money in half the space and weight. The pull tab is one of the most awesome designs as is the carbon fiber money clip that is removable. I completely recommend checking it out.
Well sure... if you can and want to pay everything with your card... I live in Germany and there are just too many times I need cash: Most fastfood stands, every bakery I've been to so far, many parking timers... so yeah... cash in gernerall is not really redundant for me but also the existance of coins!
All of the light wallets can easily be lost where when you have a bulky wallet you know it's there, when someone tries to steal it, you know it. Not convinced lighter/smaller is better
I bought a KORE slim wallet and its absolutely the best RFID minimalist wallet I've ever owned, and the removable carbon fiber money clip is a great idea. I own a lot of Kore Essential CCW belts because of the comfort and quality, and their Slim RFID wallet did not disappoint in this department either. This wallet is perfect for EDC use because its very light weight and has that bad ass tactical look with the carbon fiber money clip... Kore just makes great products.
I've had the phantom for a year. The money clip latches onto the wallet thru a couple screws that go into the plastic. If you use cash frequently the plastic will deteriorate and you won't be able to tighten the clip on properly, always walking around with a wabble in it and putting your money in danger of falling out. The inside holds the cards snug with the use of a strip of spongy material that will compress over time giving the cards a little wabble as well but they will still hold on securely. I'm getting a ridge wallet in a week to see how it is. I'd still use the phantom as a backup
I have a $5.00 Water/Dust Proof Wallet from Cabela's. They sell it where they store all their Kayak accessories, I constantly get compliments when I pay for stuff.
Honestly, not at all impressed with this wallet. The build quality is extremely low. I just got one in the mail...feels very cheap and flimsy. All mechanical parts of the latch are plastic and will probably break after a week or so. I think for a $30 price tag it could be worth it, but after paying $100+ CDN for what amounted to an empty Altoids case, I was extremely disappointed. I was kind of bummed to see Lewis signed off on it, tbh. I didn't take him for someone to support something that wasn't exactly up to speed. I still don't, I think he has good taste, but I guess you should take everything he says with a grain of salt.
Funfact: Gemany is one of those countries where cash still is number one payment-method. Well I'm German and have to say that i hate paying with cards, thus i hate those wallets. 😀
The money clip idea has got to be the most stupid solution to keeping the cash. Nothing screams hey! I have a bunch of 100 dollar bill come rob me. also I can't even lie anymore that I don't have enough money to cover a friends tab when I am out.
Try the Flipside Wallet. I have it, the cards will never fall out, plenty of room for cash and even some coins or other small items like keys or a "cigarette" you dont want crushed. Feels kinda like cheap plastic but so far it has been very durable and ive been treating it rough. Had it a few months now.
